Everyone knows Joe Budden started this reality shit… Hes been recording these bitches flipping out forever!!! Joe Budden wins in my opinion. Not to mention he stays with fine ass women. Joe is a real dude on and off stage and has been one of the most consistant lyricist in the game for a over a Decade. Keep it up Joey but Shawty Lo, please jump off a building. Your Fifteen minutes are up homie…

  9. Black Shady says:

How about we get a REALITY SHOW about a rapper in the process of recording an album???

Just imagine VH1 following someone like Eminem or Jay-Z or Nas for a full year while they working on their album, in the studio, on tour, the whole process….and then air it a couple weeks after the album drop

NOW THATS SOMETHING I WOULD LOVE TO WATCH!!!

  10. Inside I'm Ice!, Outside I'm Lava! says:

The question remains (GangStarr), should editors, program directors have to you know show they face in all these videos and talk shows (Suge Knight)?

  11. Hey ya says:

This bitch nigga Elliott is a joke… how am i suppose to take this opinions serious with his bias towards certain rappers?

  12. Seriously…. This “The Truth” series would be a bit more enjoyable if YNs old in the face ass wasn’t doing it. It’s relevant subject matter but YN is hard to look at. You need a younger dude… BDot talk to your boss.

  13. witchita says:

One of the sure-fire signs that a rapper/artist has fallen off is when they do a reality show (minus T.I.)
and hopefully Kanye doesnt participate in Kim k’s reality shit just because shes expecting their first child

  14. T says:

    NAH, WE NEED REAL RAPPERS

  15. B.A.G. says:

@Rompe Te…. I’ve been telling them they need to kick some chips down to Amber Rose or somebody to read The Truth. Much more enjoyable in my eyes

  16. B.A.G. says:

@Black Shady… Thats a great Idea, I would watch it in a heart beat. Get yourself a camera and make that happen. You better write that idea down and email it to yourself immediately before YN steals your idea from under your feet

  17. dickinyamom says:

Elliot your an OLD DICKEATER shut the fuck up

  18. DJ Semtex's Prothsetic says:

the truth; should pop artists do reality shows
the truth; should rock artists do reality shows
the truth; should country artists do reality shows

^what is this i dont even

  19. DJ Semtex's Prothsetic says:

rappers can do what they want. When they start doing reality shows they arent dong it as a rapper but more as a celebrity. i think t.i is a good example of a succesful type of reality show, but if u call out rap in particular on reality shows u should be calling out other genres as well. theres not much difference between rap and other genres of music when it comes down to an individual artist doing a reality show. its the artist taking a chance to strengthen or harm their brand, not necessarily the genre they are labeled too

  20. JAGUAR says:

YN, you deserve to have battery acid thrown to your cave men having mug. you dick riding bitch.

  21. SHAKIRA says:

joe budden isnt going to sky rocket to fame and be presenting grammis and shit GTFOH they will never let multiple niggas make the kind of money jay z makes through rapping! these reality shows are for white america to laugh at us…t.i and all them damn kids, game still fighting like hes 12 these shows are to influence little black girls to chase ballers, thugs, and rappers and make them think this is how a man treats a woman and this is how you can live a good life. U never see that show the bachelore on some ratchet ass behavior smh take a good look at vh1 and all the bullshit they showed. At least those mob wives bitches got their own money and they men locked up they not short on the mortgage. But the ghetto ass hood bitches dont have a damn dime. Hip hop is becoming what rock and roll is…think about it

  22. J Go Boom says:

Joe Budden is a fuckin sell out. @Black Shady good idea follow rappers doing their album.

  23. MISSEDGYC says:

@blackshady yep that’s a great idea and def it be a MUST WATCH!

  24. My room-mate used to hate Elliott Wilson and comment on his looks all the time. I didn’t get it then and I don’t get it now. What does anyone care about how Elliott Wilson looks? Unless you’re a female or gay, but that’s on you
(Tho that big ass grandpa sweater YN wore in one video WAS hilarious!!)

Anyway, I already wrote on this and in my bloated mind will think my comments AGAINST Joe Budden doing a reality show had something to do with this subject

As I wrote before, Joe Budden maintained his following by connecting with the fans via social media, youtube & webcam show on Ustream and BlogTV. Joe wasn’t the first to do this but in hip hop def was a pioneer!

However, to argue that Joe Budden is just rehashing on VH1 what he did on his youtube videos is a joke. The videos were raw and unedited. Sure , Joe could upload any video he chose & perhaps take things out of context or make himself look better but still it was raw.

VH1 shows are scripted. PERIOD. They have to set up reaction shots, set up what they call “blocking” where let’s say Tahiry walks out angry or Joe Budden shows up “angry” somewhere the cameras are able to follow him or walk in front of him without bumping into a wall, chair or person!

How do you all think that camerman are able to follow reality shows w/o every falling especially during the “Fights” ?

It’s set up to be filmed which means it’s set up to happen which means the dialog is set up which means we are being SET UP!

There’s no reality to tv especially on VH1!
Joe Budden sold out and as a long time fan, it’s not shocking (he’s always been an arrogant narcissist who believes he’s so smart) that he put himself and his “story” on TV, it’s just the path he chose.

Boring, predictable, paint by numbers buffoonery that gets VH1 advertising dollars and dilutes an MC’s credibility .

Jim Jones went from a guy who was claiming blood and Harlem to a guy holding his wife’s purse as she shops.

One day someone will use their brain and make a “making of the album” reality show in hip hop and blow away these shows. Til then, meet the new L&HH, same as the old one

    @p0is0nedkoola on twitter
    Lester Bangs of hip hop
Watered down reality show followed by watered down music.
    Can’t rewrite history Joe

  25. mike says:

first of all Elliott Wilson thinks hes like the god of hiphop and knows everything , the way hes talkin is fuckin annoyin man . other than that i noticed that rapradar and mr. wilson never give props to Game , even me as a jay and 50 fan know that jesus piece was top 3 or at least top 5 , pretty funny that Games songs and videos always had the most comments on this site , but they didnt even put him in the top 10? a site like this should be neutral … #justsayin

  26. @Mike says:

^^ Word. Any stable that drops exclusives and is respected should have decence and unbiased in reporting.

Anyway we all know what happened with Source Magazine’s beef with Eminem and Aftermath right?

  27. D.Scott says:

Rappers stay talkin about get money, hustlin, etc. Reality TV seems to be just another way to do so… Can’t knock the hustle…

  28. DJ Semtex's Prothsetic says:

something like ‘love and hiphop’ is pretty wack tho lol
