I think one of the major reasons is the comeback by legends around him, like LL Cool J, theyre not fitting in well and rather are struggling, it kinda damages their legacy, how many people are actually excited to hear an LL Cool J album now?

He’s the kind of champion who knows when to quit fighting before he’s KO’d. He’s one of my favorite artists but he’s no Michael Jackson. He has no desire to contribute a body of work and he doesnt wanna fake it. His last album came out almost 10 years ago and he puts out about 5 verses a year. We wanna hype him up but we know he doesnt have it like he used to have it.
I think we’re gonna see a lot of this in a lot of art. Every time a less than credible artist wins a Grammy or sells a lot of music; it makes the sport cheap and winning feel less special. The standards are lowered and artists compete via philanthropy and forbes lists. We lose

I think Big Boi made sure the song wasn’t on Sir Luscious Left Foot, because he didn’t want people to get 1 “Outkast song” he wanted the fans to wait for a real album for both of them to be called Outkast. So all these people getting mad over Andre 3000 saying it’s not an Outkast song, uh yeah it’s not. We had this conversation 3 years ago.

Even Lil Wayne, who I’m not a big fan of, put out his biggest album , The Carter 3, after a long delay. Then he rushed out his next projects and they all bricked & were of very low quality

Re: Andre, I think YN is right, its doubtful we’ll see another solo project. But BIG BOI is making beau coup classics and carrying on the legacy. I’m more than happy with that.
This is gonna sound bad considering 3 Stacks is considered the “Legend” out of the OutKast Duo but Is it possible that Big Boi actually carried Andre for all those years? Maybe he’s afraid of coming out with his own album because of that or maybe because Big Boi isn’t doing “numbers” even though the work is good. I always thought Big Boi was underrated and with 3000 being flakey it’s just odd to me as to why he wouldn’t at least do an Outkast album. Seems strange.

Well his disrespectful, self-centered behavior toward Big Boi and Outkast in general have really began to turn me off about this guy.
