And why did they win…B/c Naughty had Craziest & Feel Me Flow all the over the radio in 95/96 and The Fugees had Killing Me Softly, Ready Or Not, Fu-gee-la…now those were all hits back then and became classics, but do you really think of the winners of the last few years will have their songs playing 2025 and we will say oh I remember that classic. Fuck a Grammy
Hiphop is almost as large grossing in income as the popcandy top 40. There is obviously a move in the media to start to silence citizens, why would this not include the greatest platform of free speech yet, and disrespect the place where one can still speak their mind?
Just cuz nas deserves a lifetime achievement award don’t mean his album was better than drakes. Drake earned that Grammy. Nas is nicer and all that but as far as “take care” vs “life is good”. Take care is the better album. And as dope as nas is, I basically blame him for his own shortcomings as an artist. He seemed to not but the same work in as others in his class. It’s like he thought he could just wake up and spit harder than everybody else so that’s how he treated it.
