Great convo Elliot, the topics & discussions were very interesting. I was kinda upset that the female really didn’t get to elabarate on some of the topics you & the other guys talked about, It would be nice to hear from a female’s perspective. I also felt that you were backing the mainstream artists a bit more than the regular base and uprising ones, maybe because most of them are friends with you or your affiliates. Not saying there’s anything wrong with mainstream, but there are songs that would make you think “How did this guy get on???” and it would be cool if you kept it 100 bout the situation in your own opinion, rather than looking at it in a business pespective with radio & artist image aspects. There’s conscious raps that sound good and make sense & there’s ratchet rap that sound good & make sense. I think your the only one that knew that in this discussion. It would be great if you could look at a artist between their body of work based on that alone to decide if they deserve to be mentioned with unique greats that brought something to the rap game. BTW, Future’s “Karate Chop” is a Banger!!!. I understand exactly what he’s talking bout. Like you said, people wouldn’t know the content & like the song, if they didn’t live that life.
