  3. Devante says:

Lil Wayne: I’m the new tupac
Elliott: Don’t go there Lil Wayne

    If Ross said it….
Rick Ross: I’m the new biggie
Elliot: I don’t know but, they are both fat and black and hang diddy. Leave a comment and let me know what you think.

  4. SweeetnesT says:

This old man has no respect. Shame on you. When hip hop was on its last breath, remember who resurrected it. STFU!

  5. Yea says:

Wayne’s music contribution has been greatly under appreciated all the years he kept y’all iPods full with classic mix tape after classic mix tape and still gets all the hate but when he’s done and y’all realize nobody is putting the quality of free music Weezy did you will look back and say what we’re we thinking. TRUTH

  7. Tec1Nyc says:

    HipHop doesn’t need Wayne.
    We’re doing fine without you.
    HipPOP needs Wayne.

  8. 2 cents says:

Lol He said it’s not career damaging. But left mad room for hate upon asking “Does it turn you off? Are you still gonna support him”?

Wayne’s light up verse recorded over the phone back when he was in jail had that exact “I’m not Tupac, I’m the new pac”.It’s nothing new so why are people caring now? Also why do we ignore the “I’m not Tupac” and focus on him being the new pac? Jay compares himself to Sinatra all the time. Lots of rappers compare themselves to various old rappers and/or drug lords some are even fictional characters from movies. I don’t see whats so new or big about this. Let the cash money makaveli be. Ha.

  9. 2 cents says:

Let’s not forget Diddy once said Ross is the new Biggie.

  10. it's the roc says:

finally something that makes sense to do a segment like this on. good work YN. kind of went off track with the last few truths but this one was good.

  12. jburg says:

All you knuckleheads talking about Wayne saved hip hop must be 18 years old or something. Someone even said he was a Rap Legend! GTFOH. Nas is a rap legend, Jay-Z is a rap legend, Eminem is a rap legend, Black Thought is a rap legend. LL, Common, Q-Tip and Mos Def are legends. Lil Wayne is just a rapper.

  13. Jasså says:

    jburg – TRUE

    /\
Ya I do remember. His name is Slim Shady. When napster was killing the music biz em came and saved hip hop.

  20. Safe Dwade says:

Wayne prolly been featured on 2,000 songs haha
Lets be haters and say only 50% of those songs he killed
1,000 features killed is 50% more than any other rapper prolly ever ha

  21. Beaming says:

Lil Wayne aid between an emotional teenage girl and Rick James

  22. You cant be serious says:

Lets all be honest with ourselves, Wayne is one of the biggest jokes of music right now and has been an awful rapper for quite a few years now. Sure he had a few good years, but rap legend? Nahhh.
And as for @Safe Dwade, 50% you think he killed? Out of every 10 wayne songs he mite have a good verse, and thats generous. This guy is the definition of a sellout and when people support his wack shit, hes only gonna get worse.

SAVE HIP HOP AND MAKE THIS GUY DISAPPEAR

  23. Blackgodlover1979 says:

I still fucks with Wayne though …

  24. youknow says:

wayne was once headed down the path to be a rap legend but now its like he has become a new nigga to music and lost what once made him worth mentioning his shit isnt nearly as good as it use to be so real music lovers no longer respect him or what he has to say

  25. abrooklyn says:

i tell u wats eating him… that crack hes smoking!

  26. Meyer Gotti says:

According to a member of LeBron’s inner-circle who spoke on the condition of anonymity, Lil Wayne over the years has continuously made efforts into building a relationship with LeBron, similar to what the MVP shares with Jay Z.

And this has included invites for concert appearances, birthday parties and video sessions, but LeBron through the years has respectfully declined. “LeBron is extremely busy, he respects Lil Wayne and his peers in the entertainment industry, but he just doesn’t like to be bothered like that” says the source

“It’s an unhealthy obsession” says the source, but he reiterates that LeBron does respect the Young Money rapper and has no ill-will towards him, but he’s not going to bend over backwards to appease him.

    ^^^^^^
This might explain why he’s on the Miami Heat’s dick

  27. D Twice says:

You know you fucked up when Elliot Wilson ain’t on your team.

  28. onenutned says:

whats eating lil’wayne?…you mean besides Baby?

  29. Mr Heat says:

I never heard a deep line coming from that ugly fake ass rapper. New Pac. Dafuq!

  30. Realshyt says:

Wayne made history why don’t people see that!?
    1: he has longevity
2: put a word in the dictionary(bling bling) lol
    3: made a classic mixtape(drought 1,3,dedication2,no ceilings)
    4:classic album(carter 2)I think c3 is commercial classic( that’s me)
    5: made million a week
Wayne was killing songs in 2007 bringing 2-3 songs out a day murdering those songs! That was unheard of! Because of that, people bring out 2-3 songs a day stealing his work ethic!
    Squad up series was illy!

Oh I forgot! When the cash money label fell apart juve, Turk, bG.. Who was the only artist left that brought the empire back to its feet? Weezy!!!! lOL

  31. Realshyt says:

Hiphop is like a movie: Wayne does play a amazing role lol

  32. ImissOldwayne says:

its a shame what kinda rapper wayne has become today but for people to say hes not a legend is utter bullshit, how many rapperz have sold plat in the 90′s and still relevant and selling plat in late 09-2013 only eminem and jay-z(watchdthrne),hes changed the game for good or worse

  33. flawda says:

LOL at the Lil Wayne groupies up in here and the fact that this dude’s legacy is built on mixtapes (him rapping on other peoples songs) and putting out mediocre albums.

Lil Wayne ain’t no damn legend, compare this fools catalog or skillset to Pac, jay, Big, Nas,etc and he doesn’t even measure up. When it’s all said and done, Kanye will be remembered as the best rapper to emerge from this era, not Wayne.

FYI bragging about having classic mixtapes is like bragging about being a great And 1 basketball player. You’re greatness as a mc is measure from albums …ie Ilmmatic, Reasonable Doubt, Aquemini, Ready to Die,etc.

  34. flawda says:

If sales are a indicator is greatness then Nelly and Ja Rule are legends and both those dudes have sold way more albums than Lil Wayne. I would go as far as saying Country Grammar and Venni Vetti Vicci are better albums than anything Wayne has ever put out too.

Ya’ll need to dead that sales argument, that’s fools gold. Wayne’s image is why he sells, not the quality of his music. Lil Wayne hasn’t made a good album since Carter 2.

  35. Black Chalk says:

not a big mystery….a mediocre album in the near future = act out for media attention..

    need beats?

    @dndamien

  36. Realshyt says:

Even jay z said he was a threat 05-08 don’t hate

  37. ImissOldwayne says:

@flawd u are a hater bro, wayne took other artist’s beats/songs and made them even better, how many rappers rap on other artist’s beats?plenty and btw wayne has two classic albums the carter and carter2,most of wayne’s best work leaked by the empire

  38. Word says:

Wayne hasn’t been great since The Carter 2. He hasn’t been good since Carter 3. He hasn’t been decent since No Ceilings. Dude has lost it and will never get it back. But unfortunately, wiggers and dumb asses still think fucking with Wayne is the cool thing to do. Then they buy his album or download his mixtape and try so hard to make excuses for why its underhwleming, or they try and convince everyone its good when they know deep down they just wasted 10 dollars or 5 minutes downloading the thing.

You cant tell me 99% of the million ppl that bought his album first week didnt have buyers remorse by the week after. Who even talks about Carter 4 like that? Million first week..you would think ppl would still be bumping some of its songs but they not. D4 was whay? Lukewarm like shit. Sorry For the Wait shouldnt have even existed.

This dude is wildly popular and rich. I get that. No comments take away from that, but if your gonna let money and fame take away from the fact that this guy is CLEARLY in decline, then you’re a dickrider plain and simple.

  39. fried chicken says:

If hip hop is entertainment…. then its all entertainment and Weezy is just playing his part as an entertainer.

  40. omar hameen says:

All legends fall off at some point.except for jay z obviously.

  41. BlAzEENSANE says:

of course you dont think its career damaging nigga you just put him on the cover of your magazine

  42. Gtothefo says:

Don’t fuckin lie that pun was intentional af

  43. Realshyt says:

@word true true but Wayne has been out Since 98 that’s 15yrs! He had to have a decline sooner or later. I thin k a cool thing about Wayne’s career is u seen him as a kid then he ascended to this potentially best rapper artist. Jay z nas DMX etc they started later on there life.

  44. jesus says:

@word mad props and true weezy sould quit and go work at burger king

  45. Realshyt says:

Hmm I guess legend is all opinion. But I do think Wayne is a legend in the south

  46. JAGUAR says:

wayne aint no legend. hes a booty popping donkey, onlife support by his booty popping groupies. just cause lil wendy was featured on a billion songs didnt mean they were hot, or were shit. hes a d-level rapper like riff raff, souja boy and wack flocka etc. he was never no threat. only his fans care about him. and lets face it, his fans seem like they were shitted out at birth. dum ass niggaz. wayne I hope you triped on a knife and land on your throat…its over nigga. bow out now, or get exposed even more.

  47. JAGUAR says:

this nigga ait no legend. this nigga is a booty popping monkey on life support by his booty popping groupies. he was never no threat. cause he was featured on a billion features. half them shits were pop songs and sounded garbage. this little punk, just got lucky cause he let him self be butt fucked into the game. he never lived what he spoke about. thats why he acting a fool now. cause he was always a spoil, brat with no guidance, Baby jusy made him lick his balls. he was joke then, and is a joke now. he better bow out the game now, or get exposed even more. its over wayne. but you really aint do shit. this monkey will not be missed.
