MTV‘s brain trust is back to pissing people off with their annual Hottest MC In The Game list. Rounding out the top 10 is Maybach Music Group’s, Meek Mill.
While he prepped his debut album, Dreams and Nightmares, the MMG rapper kept busy early in the year with features on Rick Ross’ Rich Forever mixtape, in addition to appearances on remixes of tracks like Wale’s “Slight Work” and Tyga’s “Rack City.”
By the spring, he delivered a brand-new body of work on hisDreamchasers 2 mixtape, which included the smash “Amen” (featuring Drake) and other notables like “Racked Up Shawty” with Fabolous. Even Jay-Z took notice, signing Meek to a Roc Nation management deal while his tape was still in heavy rotation.

Well this list is already fucked. Meek raps the same verse over and over. The guy can’t do a verse with out mentioning his watch. He’s not a MC he’s a basic rapper.

@ Slaughter, Its about who was more popular this YEAR ! not who is the best rapper alive. and Hopsin. to be honest, i didn’t heard that much from hopsin on the second half of the year. they also should pay attention to people reaction. Like rick ross, he was on blogs quite offten, a lot of times he was on the top news section and im not talking just about rapradar. but most of the reactions to the music he released were BAD. People would downvote the shit out of rickross songs. and it has nothing to do with haters, haters can bring some bad ratings for your music, but if the music you’re releasing is good, then good ratings will overcome bad ratings. and look at fifty for instance, guy has so many haters, but his new music always receives more good ratings than bad. i actually think that 50 was more hot than rick ross this year. fif had 2 hits this year. i mean 2012. he had New Day, then My Life. then remember 10 year anniversary of grodt. every blog was posting stories about fif. Then Major DIstribution. squashing his beef with Fat Joe on BET. dude was all over the blogs, but about half of those stories were about his other ventures .
I could bet $20 Trinidad James gonna make the list with only one song and came at end of year
