This feels like a call made to stir up controversy. Future is doing well to be sure, and has records for the clubs, but there’s something to be said for critical acclaim and making music that listeners don’t just bump as a guilty pleasure, but actually respect.
That’s why you gotta give it to Drake.
Kendrick has the critical acclaim, but isn’t all over the clubs or charts.
Future’s got the clubs, but no one takes him seriously as an artist.
Drake’s got both. And has sustained his buzz from 3 years ago. Think about how many artists have lost their buzz since then. Nicki. B.o.B. Meek Mill. Wiz Khalifa.
And he’s got the hottest song of the moment that’s been remixed by everybody in the game.
Hands down. It’s Drake.
