Last night, French Montana participated in the SXSW festivities and closed out Fader Fort. During his set, he brought out Macklemore for “Thrift Shop” (6:20) and Diddy (20:20) for “Ocho Cinco”, “Same Damn Time” and “It’s All About The Benjamins”. If you missed his set, here it is in full.
So is he REALLY independant (macklemore)??? cuz if thats the case and hes doing all this with NO BACK UP….then he’s bout to change the game. About 4milli singles sold INDEPENDENTLY????

Fuck the BS he and his team are grinders but he is not Independent, He is signed to ADA which is a major record company. Dont take anyones word for it the info is out there jus do your research.
But ADA is just an independent branch of Warner that ONLY handles his distribution. Other than that it’s 100% his and his team.

That’s traditionally what signing to a major label means… 360 deals didn’t exist until just a few years ago. Their partnership in distribution means that Warner has bet money on him, and has a stake in his success… and what business do you know of that invests money in a project and then does nothing to see it succeed?
