True, they’re not consistent, but niggas watch their quiet moves tho. They’re showin’ that you don’t have to flood the fuckin market to win. I mean, that strategy does work(biggest example: Future, and I do mess with some of his tracks) but most of the artists that do it be thinkin like their music is all anybody listens to. Hov picks& takes his time cause he will never lose the best asset for a high profile rapper: anticipation.

Jay has done all of the work that Ross & Tip have done ALREADY. He doesn’t have to be out every week with a new song. You notice that Jay never does mixtapes? Dude is on new territory, cuz he’s a 43 year old HOT rapper. THAT’S NEVER BEEN DONE. And thank God. The reason Jay-Z has the most number 1 (1ST WEEK SALES) albums is because of location location location and non of the bull you think it is. Jay-Z has mastered the art of finding the least busy week to release an album so he can guarantee a top seller that week.

@FACTS, so what? MC Hammer had an album that sold 18 million records. It doesn’t mean a damn thing.
Consistency and quality is all that matters in the end. Jay always does very well commercially and he’s consistently put out better albums than Eminem, 50, Wayne and anyone else you could mention (with the possible exception of Kanye) and for a lot longer than any of them.
