New Video: Rick Ross “Don’t Kill My Vibe (Remix)”

While recording his Reebok ad in Miami last month, Ross put together a visual for his Kendrick rendition. Oh yea, Rozay took to Twitter today to finally apologize for his controversial “U.O.E.N.O.” lyric.

I dont condone rape.Apologies for the #lyric interpreted as rape. #BOSS. Apologies to my many business partners, who would never promote violence against women. @ReebokClassics@ultraviolet

  2. TheTruth says:

The apology does not seem sincere. #Boss

  3. LikeJordan45 says:

It wasn’t interpreted as rape, you described it as rape. Pretty hollow apology.

  4. Ran says:

A twitter apology, it’s time to end this bullshit, this guy is the most fraudulent person in the history of hip hop, he takes another mans whole alias, has a job that’s the opposite of that & admits to raping women with no excuse. When we goin ride on cats like this & boycott the bullshit man?

  5. Ran says:

I HATE THE GAME NOW, CATS KISSING MEN, ADMITTING TO RAPE, WEARING SKIRTS AND SKINNY JEANS, SUING DUDES FOR BEATING THEM UP ON TAPE AFTER THEY PUNKED DUDES ON TAPE (40 GLOCC). GET THESE CATS OUT THE GAME MAN!!!!

  6. ***BLACK MIRROR*** says:

  13. Carlito R says:

People are so funny! Its ok for Rappers to talk about f*ckin b*tches, b*tches sucking d*cks, beating the p*ssy up, murdering n*ggas, gettin drunk, smokin weed, drinking syrup etc. But you can’t talk about slipping a pill in a drink without her even knowing it?????? hahahaha. I know people aren’t that dumb to really think Ross literally meant it was cool to rape women. Come on knock off. Just like Rappers don’t really mean its cool to go out and murder a black men even though thats what most rappers rhyme about. Stop it!!! Anyone that has been listening to hiphop for the last 10-15 years would know Ross didn’t mean its cool for men to go drug women and rape them. If you were really that offended than speak out against 95% of all Rappers who “promote negativity” all day.

  14. Happy says:

Rick Ross is stupid for apologizing I mean if thats the case than he needs to apologize for all nearly every street record he ever made.

  15. Happy says:

Who the hell told this Nigga that he can say things that Eminem gets away with and sells 5-10 million albums?

  16. Grant Ill says:

I think folks are going a little overboard with criticizing what he said. SMH

  17. Jordan Addict says:

Rape is a very serious word. I don’t agree with what Ricky said but I wouldn’t use the word “rape”.

  22. THE MAJESTIC NIGLET says:

  23. The Guy says:

no one was endorsing eminem back then tho …..he wasnt in no business shit, just rapping keeping it real

  26. REAL NIGGA J says:

    unlike fake ass ross

  27. The Guy says:

Eminem is being deliberately redundant just to make a point that he isn’t addressing homosexuals when throwing around the concerned pejoratives was straight brilliant. He’s intentionally BECOMING homophobic to make a point, he becomes ‘whatever you say he is’, I mean… it’s a playground concept, it’s executed in a high-concept and artistically genius way, but it’s not exactly fucking difficult.
On the other hand just look at Ross’ lyrics…he’s saying it straight, nigga ain’t got a brain for a royal with cheese…

  28. Space Ghost says:

Only black people seek to destroy their own!!!!! The man made a mistake. Why do all you weak ass f*ck boys spew so much hate on Ross…..Hov……etc. But the white guy Eminem can do no wrong????!!!!! All weak n**gers must die so that REAL BLACK PEOPLE can live!!!!! I’m sick and tired of you lames hating. You neeeeeever have anything positive add. Ross made it. Get up off your ass do something!

  29. May Day says:

^^^^^ Carlito is 100% right. Why go after one stupid misunderstood line in a whole song and not go after all the songs that a lot of rappers put out there? I bet if Jay had said it he would of gotten a pass.

  30. ZoomZoomDad-Otis says:

Wish I was in NYC to join the protest. I would be leading the people to the DEF JAM buliding.

  31. Beaming says:

Now niggas wanna complain? Where were u when the rappers were promoting selling drugs to their own people? Oh that’s different? Oh ok.

  32. FK21 says:

Rick Ross ain’t going no where. MMG, bitch!

  33. Fat boy gonna get dropped from Reebok with the quickness now! He’ll be done by end of the day Friday.

  34. Space Ghost says:

@ZoomZoomDad-Otis. You are lame. I’m leading the protest against you!

  35. Have to agree with others critical of Ross for his antics… he/s nothing more than thug and rap bully…if you worship him..than thats on your, because he aint worth it. Someone will take him down… probably the man. He wants to glorify being gangtsta and live the life…than get ready for a life behind bars.

  36. Original Ty says:

@ Carlito R I agree with most of what you said except when you said they don’t think it’s cool to murder a black man even though they say it in their rhymes and they don’t think it’s cool to drug a chick and smash without her knowing it even though he said it. The question to me isn’t whether Ross is doin that stuff cause we know he’s killing NOBODY and even as fat as he is I’m sure he has a ton of groupies that will gladly sleep with him without him drugging them. The question is don’t people have a right to be upset because even if the rappers are doing NONE of what they rap about, a lot of young heads out here that try to reenact these stupid lyrics actually end up living out what these niggas rap. Our youth kill each other over nothing, treat women like these dudes rap about and will probably secretly put molly in a chick’s drink and take advantage of her cause Ross suggested it. i agree that it’s hypocritical to pick and choose what to protest but you can’t give these dudes that excuse that they say it but don’t mean it. They KNOW they influence culture and the youth. Whether or not they ever actually ever do it, promoting it isn’t cool.

  37. ZoomZoomDad-Otis says:

@Space Ghost. Your a MMG minion you have no authority.

  38. e@rl th@ pe@rl says:

Eminem is on record numerous times rapping about rape and killing women (Guilty Conscience; Kim…to name a couple). And…?

Rappers rap. About whatever-the-fuck! If you believe EVERYTHING you hear then, you’re an idiot. Plain & simple.

  39. Stone says:

^^absolutly right.. But it’s not smart to say those things when you have endorsement deals.. Eminem got 500% more shit than this but he was not a spokesperson for any one… And he came out with that persona from day one…So you had to either love him or hate him from day one and move on….

  40. Foreign luccini says:

    *ciroc boy forever*

  41. Lonely Tunes says:

So much for “The untouchable Maybach Empire” !! You fuck boys just got touched by #Unltraviolent ya bich!! FOHWTBS!

  42. Your Life Is A Lie says:

90 percent of all mainstream (corporate) hip hop content need to be protested by people of color

  43. kayandgee says:

rozay got to be the most loved/hated rapper of all time, everything he does or say is a problem while everyone makes mistakes, for him to be still at the top of the rap game is unbelievable! im not condoning his wrongs but i think people should give him a break

  44. Ray Ray says:

    @ Original Ty

Yo I’m 16yrs old and I think that’s one the biggest misconception about hip hip and young people. That rappers influence young people to do dumb shit. First of all I hate when older people try to pin the responsibility of raising us on rappers. But what really bothers me and a lot of my friends is when older people think us young people are that dumb to just follow anything and everything that our favorite rappers do or say. I bet if old people were to do a survey about how we are influence by rappers. The majority of us will say our style of clothing, how we dress, the way we talk is influence by rappers. But most of that stuff isn’t so negative. Most of us would also say we are motivated by rappers to pursue real good paying jobs after high school so one day we too can can own some of the cars, clothes, jewelry, mansions and money that we see all these rappers have in videos and rap about on the songs. Again that stuff isn’t so negative. We too can get the hot looking women one day if we go out make a lot of money and to make a lot of money you can’t be a loser. If you don’t believe me do you own research don’t just assume what most of us young people think or what we are influence. WE ARE A LOT SMARTER THAN YOU THINK! Yes they are a few of us would are tempting in getting tattoos because of our favorite rappers got them. But believe it or not most of us are scare to go sell drugs, get high or pop pills! In fact the young people that I do know that do dumb shit like that is the same ones that would do any dumb shit regardless if a rapper was talking about it or not. Do I represent all young people that listen to hip hop no of course not. I just wanted to vent because I hate hearing older people blaming rappers for whats wrong with young society or for thinking we are all influence into doing dumb shit because of rap songs. The crazy thing is a lot of us weren’t really paying attention to Rick Ross pill line until everyone started to make a big deal about it then we were like oh lets go back and listen to the record.

PS a lot of us young people even think rappers making it rain is pretty dumb! Damn I’m running late to school. 🙂

  45. Kali says:

alot of folks speaking some real shit on here.Salute

  46. Original Ty says:

    @ Ray Ray

I can appreciate your perspective. I definitely know that there are some young people out there that takes these song lyrics for what they are…. a song. My family is full of young people just like you in that regard. However I do think that to what life imitates art or vice versa. The statistics bear out that there are a lot of people acting out exactly what these rappers talk about, or die or end up in jail trying to get to the point where they can stunt or flash on niggas like their favorite rapper. You make a good point when you say that those people would probably be going wild with or without the music, but they need Ross and others giving them more motivation and more ways to do wrong?

Anyhow bro I ain’t tryna argue you down, you made some great points and I appreciate your respectful and thoughtful approach to the subject. Salute.

P.S. Do I write like I’m 60 or something?? I’m not OLD man LOL

  47. Original Ty says:

    * However I do think it’s impossible to find out to what life imitates art or vice versa nowadays.
