Crazy how Jay Rock was out before most of Black Hippy, and even had that song and video with Wayne “In The Ghetto” (with Kendrick all over the video by the way; mind was blown when I realized that) yet he’s the 4th most important member of the group now. Kendricks’s upside is tremendous and even Q has potential really. He has a following of his own. I don’t really dig Ab-Soul but he’s not bad and has a few fans too because ppl love all these guys. But Jay Rock? Head start and what did he do with it? Squandered it all. Thats why he’s “in the back” of this cover shot now.

Kendrick is doing better than Jay Rock now because he been puttin in more work then him, and his hard work payed off when he got Dr. Dre attention. Plus he got that better mainstream appeal than Jay Rock do. They both dope tho to me
As much as i like Kendrick Lamar, i must admit. I don’t think his album would’ve been that successful if he didn’t get signed to aftermath. Kendrick is dope, but true artist like him don’t really get the attention the deserve less their on a popular record label which is sad.
