Well, this isn’t fly. During MTV’s Rap Fix Live broadcast today, Birdman and Lil Wayne confirmed that a new Big Tymers album is in the works. When asked if Mannie Fresh was involved, Birdman shot down the notion and said the group would consist of himself, Wayne, and Drake. Nobody’s feelin that, pleighboi.

I’ve been hoping for a while now that Drake would come to his senses and leave YMCMB. The man has true talent, which is more than can be said for anyone else on the label (aside from Busta, but he doesn’t really count, does he?). Wayne had a run a few years ago, but he has officially reached that point where the drugs are now working against him when they used to work for him, and Birdman’s rapping makes Diddy’s sound like Kendrick.
I honestly thought the Big Tymers were trash back in the day. The only saving grace whatsoever was Mannie’s production (seeing as his rapping was only slightly better than Birdman’s). If anything, I think this would pull Drake in the wrong direction musically, but that’s just me. I don’t really give a shit about any “legacy” the Big Tymers or Cash Money in general may have – As far ad I’m concerned, sales figures aside, they’ve just been making shitty music and lowering lister IQs a bit longer than some other rap labels.
This aint a big tymers album! Its the drake and lil wayne album. Where wayne fucks up good songs and birdman drags it to the bottom. If drake is as smart as they say he is he jumps ship when that contract is up!

The issue is calling it Big Tymers when %50 of the Big Tymers aren’t involved. It’s disingenuous and indicative of a lack of empathy towards fans of their music. No one is calling them EPMD or saying their projects are timeless classics (they aren’t), just saying call it something else if you want a Birdman Wayne and Drake album, not a big deal.

The interview was horrible and not what I expect from Sway. Did Sway say that this is a family show?? When is a hip-hop show a family show? Only in the fake hip-hop world of MTV.
