Diddy Brings Revolt To Time Warner

French Montana's Album Release Party

Diddy does it again. Today, it was announced that Time Warner Cable has agreed to carrying his Revolt TV network. The channel is scheduled to launch this Fall. Says Puff of the deal:

“This is a landmark distribution deal that demonstrates Time Warner Cable’s commitment to bringing a platform for music artists and fans to their subscribers,” stated Revolt TV Founder and Chairman Sean Combs.  “It positions Revolt to come out of the gate strong, and we look forward to igniting the passion of initial audiences across the U.S.” With Time Warner Cable’s help nothing is stopping Revolt from becoming the new number one name in music.

This morning, Diddy made the announcement himself on Hot 97

  5. woahhh says:

Jay’s deal allows him to network with many other billionaires in the Sports Industry, but

Diddy’s deal is probably gonna rack him more money. Just like Oprah.

  6. Slim Baller says:

Diddy is a better business than JayZ no doubt

  7. Slim Baller says:

    *business man

  8. mrzee says:

oprah lost allot of money with the O network. this is a big deal but it’s important to see what happens next, what is done to keep everyone interested in the network.

  9. JustMyOpinion says:

    Might (emphasis) a good look.

If Oprah’s channel (OWN) is struggling for viewership, how will Puff attract viewers? All hip hop station?

  10. chickdude says:

Say what you want about Puff but if this ain’t inspiration I don’t know what is. The man is making HUGE moves and is young enough to really enjoy the fruits. History in the making. Jay started as a rapper and built a foundation from that, which is commendable in itself. But Puff walked through the door as a business man. And no matter how much they hate him, he’s your favorite rapper’s/ mogul’s idol.

  11. Barack Obama Jr. says:

This is huge. The man already has Comcast distribution so this gives him NYC in addition. Diddy doing it big. He gon hit a billion before Jay No question

  12. Tbones says:

Congrats to Diddy, but why the heck niggas so infatuated about another nigga getting to the billion dollar mark? You fools need to desist from counting another mans money and start counting yours.

  13. Devante says:

    Is that Irv lol?

  14. How Wonderful... says:

    @ Tbones
Certified Truth. I agree with you 100 percent.

Besides what will Revolt bring to Time Warner cable? I know, the same 10 to 15 rap videos in rotation daily just like MTV jams.

Lets stop placing rap artists on a platform and start uplifting ourselves as individuals. Like Lil B said “make your family proud”.

  15. The wise says:

^^^ once u quote lil b ur points are irrelavent..an this is mayjor moves for diddy his is business minded an knows what it tAkes..who ever said itll be like mtv jams is a moron! If its anything like he sayin itll be what mtv used to be ..a top 10 countdown, with nes interviews an shit people dont see much of frm artist ..damn how i miss the old mtv…but this is a step in the right direction..

  16. The wise says:

Plus BETs 106 is a complete joke

  17. So the story is what?
There’s another channel on a cable company that has over 1000 channels?
    OH WOW!!!!

Diddy is part of the reason “MTV STOPPED PLAYING VIDEOS”
    Making the Band 1 , 2 , 3
    Be Diddy’s Assistant

    Give me a break

    Who cares

This guy is just a front for some other guy’s money for another reason to make advertising money for executives so they can inflate their bank accounts

    This isn’t about music
    this is about commerce

the revolution will not be televised brotha

  19. W33d~RolL-Up says:

    shouts to diddy

  20. Wreck says:

Music is commerce. How else will they get paid. That is short sighted. Regardless if executives make money they don’t own Time Warner or Revolt. An owner owns a major stake in that company and Diddy owns Revolt. If he decides to sell it like Bob Johnson he can do that an pay cash for bigger and better ventures. Like Oprah owns OWN she broadcast through Time Warner or Comcast or whoever. Now she and some other billionares can try and start a new cable company but I doubt she is interested in that. It is no different than Ted Turner of CNN and Rupert Murdoch of Fox news they all have to pay the cable networks Executives so how is that stupid? An Exec can be fired and owner had to be bough out. That is the difference.Kudos to Diddy.
