In all fairness, most people just downloaded illegally – weather its MMG, Montana, or G-Unit it doesn’t matter anymore. Not to mention it was an EP not an LP. They could’ve compiled this EP with the other 10 tracks they released for free since summer jam, have DJ Drama scream over them and made a “hot mixtape” (sarcasm). At least they’ll make some revenue from it considering they didn’t spend on marketing. I say it’s a win.
Mixtapes are for artists who don’t have the ability to release music commercially, so they give it out for free. It doesn’t make sense for them to release mixtapes anymore, considering there aren’t any labels telling them what to do.
