It’s actually a solid album too. Surprised Stalley didn’t shout out Cudi, Hi Tek, Bow Wow, Chip, MGK, Dayton Fam, even if
just in his bars or as punchlines. Stalley has such a laid back but sincere persona though. He will forever get lost in the hype
shuffle because he is not willing to make headlines over drama. But his album has a real good, unique sound. The production is strong. It’s missing Curren$y and Krit. Those three would make a dope collabo EP. It’s also missing the social and spiritual reflection Stalley is capable of providing. He has to figure out how to blend that stuff with his street knowledge and blue collar midwest knowledge. He is a real grown Muslim man who can talk about so much more than dope, woofers, and mufflers. Feels like rappers with spiritual topics hit a wall from time to time and consumers generally stop being able to relate to them because the industry stops understanding how to market them. Which is why him signing to MMG and Krit signing to Def Jam made less sense to me on the artist side. Business wise it makes sense. But as artists they are at their best when they make music that is more specific and less pop oriented. Its perfect for smaller indie labels. Whereas artists like Cole, Kendrick and Drake can do both because they enjoy writing attention grabbing hooks and choruses and coming up with all sorts of song transitions.
Haha..this has nothing to do with Nikki or Pink Print. Would love to see her and Azalia Banks collab tho. These labels have females beefing and staying away from each other to preserve their queen diva status. It holds back the game. NY male mcs act the same way. Very diva like. I don’t get it. I don’t even understand how hiphop came from NY sometimes. NY cats sell each other out so quickly. I never imagined they didn’t stand for something more than fame and money.

Probably should push this back… None of the singles are sticking (unless you’re counting Anaconda – which she has rightfully called A JOKE), and more importantly this doesn’t look cohesive in a climate just doesn’t look/feel right.
