In a series of tweets, he asked to be off the label and said that his creativity was being stifled.
To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won’t and hasn’t been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it. This is not my fault. I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans but most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation. I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain’t that easy. Singles and feature wise, he’s had a good verse here and there, or a catchy hook on someone else’s song.. BUT the fact remains that the quality/content of his own albums have been on a sharp decline ever since. I think he’s had a good run though but now that newer talent has emerged on the scene with better music it’ll be hard for Wayne to compete.
