This is supposed to be a preview of TAAN? What a joke..this is the worst Wale song I’ve ever heard since he did Drug Dealer Girl Remix..Wale is lost..he lost the fans he had that rode the “ambition” wave..the only ones still riding with him are the ones that got the ambition tattoo lmao..cuz they have to. As for Ross’ role, Ross gave him A LOT of creative freedom. Wale chose the paths he chose and lets be honest, without Ross & MMG. Wale would have never sold over 10k with his last two albums which have done OK.
This song was very average though.
How did it not? You do realize that MMG forced him to put himself on those compilation albums..rapping over type of beats that he would of never right? He had a formula of producers and topics he would rap about and a way of doing it that was different than how he is now..it’s something not in plain eyesight..trust me I was a Wale fan..like going to concerts when he was doing small clubs and his crowd was waaay different than it is now. Ross saved him in the sense of giving him a mainstream shot but not artistically..the dude was 26 not like he was 34 and done..I don’t even know what we’re arguing here really..but all I can say is that this shit sucks and this is something that if old wale listened to himself do 4-5 years ago he would of been disgusted..but he was molded into accepting it now and thinking it’s actually good
