Since 2010, Pharrell, Chad and Shay are now back at it again. The trio have recently lent their helping hand to the soundtrack to the upcoming film, Spongebob Squarepants: Sponge Out of Water. Before it hits iTunes January 5, stream the fun-filled record below.
“We’re trying not to think too much in a cartoon sense,” Hugo told Variety of N.E.R.D.’s work on Spongebob, “but more just like a psychedelic, otherworldy type of thing. If you want to draw a parallel, maybe think of what the Beatles did with Yellow Submarine.”
While everybody is busy being thug ass rappers with limited vocabularies and shared life stories these guys are indeed doing something right!
I had my music featured in an independent film before (all in the game directed by Gary ugarek) but I dream of an oppurtunity of this magnitude!
