I got a master’s. MKL was great storytelling and had a consistent concept. Definitely the highlight of rap albums in 2014.

Well, the bar may be low, but Eminem is at least talented. And with “Bad Guy” “Evil Twin” “Rap God” and “Headlights” on there I can’t be too mad at it winning. Admittedly it was a shitty year for rap. The most deserving album in the bunch was Because the Internet, in my opinion. But it’s not a travesty that it won.
