    1. But says:

Can we talk about how Kendrick is tone def when it comes to institutional racism? Weeping for Trayvon has nothing to do with gang culture or black on black violence

      1. The Rock says says:

        Well u missed the point

        1. bleh says:

No i think you missed the point.

While this song is fire fucking flames i dont agree at all with that last line. It’s one of those “if you pulled your pants up maybe you wouldnt be…” kind of arguments. Statistically ( backed by empirical data) people are more prone to kill people that look at them. Society has done an excellent job to make it seem like a “black issue” when whites,Asians, whatever the fuck, are more prone to kill people that look just like them. So using gang culture and “black on black” violence to negate that fact is disingenuous.. that being said

oh my fuckin gawd this is some raw shit.

          1. The Rock says says:

I dont think he’s negating it, I think he’s just saying black on black violence happens too much nd we should be just as angry about the stats u brought up as we r when someone from another race kills one of our own, I agree with that

          2. bleh says:

But i see those issues at two desperate things. I dont think that because the black community has our issues that gives prisons, police, the courts, free reign to institutionalize and turn a profit until we fix it. but i respect your opinion.

          3. tututhebadboy says:

I appreciate your separation of this heat & your well spoken but indifferent opinion… its an art lost amongst the comments of today. That being said, I tend to agree with your disgust of the “if you pull your pants up..” argument however I think we can excuse Kendrick a bit. Its not wrong that we need to focus on black on black crime. Its kinda becoming a thing for white journalists to ask black ppl, most of which we’d consider successful, what they feel like living in today’s America?.. Like as black ppl?.. & Other questions that imply that we’re new here, don’t belong, or got some kinda new sickness nowadays. Not to go too far & not that Kendrick said this or this what I took from it.. Im jus saying, I respect him for referring to problems we been had as appose to just doing the “Mandatory” “fuck the white man” rap. He’s right about it being hypocritical…

          4. Dumb says:

The proportion of black killing black is just unparalleled. Period. Of course the system is rigged but that finding is necessary.

      2. JCole Fan says:

It’s over your head bruh. Pretty sure Gucci Mane just dropped another mixtape. Go check it out.

      3. alex says:

Yes you may be right but the point is more about contradicting feelings.

        1. kirk says:

The real reason you have to give this young man his just due is because his song just sparked a conversation between you 2 about black on black crime. When was the last time an artist made you do that? The boy has substance in his rhymes which has been lost for quite some time in hip hop.

          1. tututhebadboy says:

I think we need to go deeper than that now a days tho. Like now its really about seriously breaking down what rappers say msg wise. We gotta stop giving credit just cuz we aint heard so & so in a long time. True, we haven’t. Now that artists are doing that again…what they saying??

          2. kirk says:

Brick by brick man it won’t get back to the golden age overnight.

      4. Realistically says:

        Are you sure?

Everyone is praising the song, but I think the core message is going over heads. He’s calling himself out as a hypocrite – claiming to be “pro-black” by doing “pro-black” things, but killing his own kind. His own introspection forces the listener to re-consider their own (potential) hypocrisy as well.

      5. tututhebadboy says:

It ALL involves black kids dying before their time. They have everything to do with each other. I think its like..as long as he isn’t “running for some office”..or becoming a part of the institution that’s racist to chane it, how dare he complain about the black life taken by a white man when black lives get took by ppl he Knows, everyday. Its hypocritical, like he said.

    2. MNIMN says:

No he isn’t. In 3 years he’ll be back to the Mixtapes.

      1. HOVITO says:

I want to agree with you but i feel like he’s gong to be consistent with his message and style for years to come … I always felt like lupe could rise to this level but after that lasers project and all the PR stuntin that probably will never happen

        1. marty mcfly says:

Lupe has surpassed this level in case you missed the other hundred songs Lupe has made besides Lasers. Bar for bar its gonna be hard to catch up to Lupe in terms of what he’s already said along this kinda subject matter cause he has a very long list of these kinda songs.

          1. AKB says:

Lasers was a dud AND F&L 2 was a dud. that’s 2 albums straight – luckily he brought it back with T&Y

          2. marty mcfly says:

It was a dud to you but to me…
            LASERS –
            Letting Go
            Words I Never Said
            The Show Must Go On
            Beautiful Lasers
            State Run Radio
            Break The Chain
            All Black Everything
            Never Forget You
            Beaming
            Shinning Down

            F&L2-

            Cold War
            Unforgivable Youth
            Hood Now
            Go To Sleep

Were all FIRE, musically and especially lyrically. This is what people consider Lupe when he’s not rapping incredibly and he’s still dope as fuck. Not to mention Lupe has dropped a bunch of other songs in between as well as Enemy Of The State and Friend Of The People and he just dropped Tetsuo and Youth…. Im sorry but its no way in hell this nigga can be fucked with period. People just like Kendrick more just because. Bar for Bar though Lupe is not gonna be outdone by Kendrick any time soon, if ever.

          3. GetReal says:

well thats your opinion fam doesn’t make you right or wrong

          4. marty mcfly says:

It alot of contexts my opinion does make me right. When it comes to Lupe’s ability to convey a message in a verse, you know I won that argument. Now in terms of these songs? I wonder if these were Cole or Kendrick songs, would he still consider them duds or wack? I doubt it.

          5. Mike D. says:

I respect Lupe…he got BARS….but you know why Lupe can’t fk with KL…Same as why most rappers can’t fk with Hov…brevity. It takes Lupe 3 songs to say some that Hov and KL can say in a verse of two. Most rappers don’t master brevity. Its a such thing as OVER rapping…ie Talib Kweli, Em…and I’m a fan of both. There are a couple more artist like this…they escape me right now.

Word! I’m a fan of ALL these cats but some of the BEST rappers can bloviate a little…and it’s alright, I’m not mad at it. I’ll take bars over bullshit any day!!! It’s just that the greats know how to give you what you need in a verse, few bars or a song and keep it moving.

I mean forreal, this is the nigga you wanna debate about “saying something” in one song?

          11. Mike D. says:

That fact that you had to list an ALBUM worth of material for me to get the point of him MAKING a point pretty much PROVES my POINT! LOL

I’m not saying he’s wack fam…i’m saying he lacks BREVITY to get his point across in a verse or two within the constructs of a song. All those songs you named are from different projects. It’s one thing if he was on some “i’m putting out an album of THIS type of material to get THIS type of message across” but sometimes he’s just too all over the place for me personally. I still listen though bc he’s immensely talented. I just give KL the edge. Just MY opinion piimpin

            Megamind

          12. Greenbergs says:

kendrick could learn from lupe imo, the dude simply named all those songs as examples of songs that outdo kendricks abilities…not saying kendrick is wack, but he def. don’t got shit on lupe…right now he’s hotter than lupe, but if lupe went back to his old ways, he’d be on top…

          13. Mike D. says:

So basically you just admitted that Lupe digressed in his music? “If lupe went back to his old way….” See, I can say and I’m sure there are people in here who can validate that KL has gotten better ever album since Overly Dedicated.
Again, these are MY opinions…and song for song, whether it be underground or mainstream, Lupe can’t fk with KL

            Megamind

          14. Greenbergs says:

imo, i feel like lupe was kind of FORCED “to digress” his music….again thats just my opinion, the industry is a fucked up world.

          15. marty mcfly says:

I could make the same argument about Lupe. I could list Lupe songs from last year that are better then the year before. Mural was better then Bad Bitch….

          16. marty mcfly says:

I don’t think Lu cares about being on top. He aint even doing interviews anymore. The thing is this, take the verses to these songs from Lupe and go get Kendrick best verses and compare as to who can make there points better in one song per verse? Cause that is this guys argument. You gonna see why bar for bar verse for verse Lupe wins that debate.

          17. marty mcfly says:

Not really cause all you have to do is listen to the verse of these songs to see the point as to way I listed them. You argument is about his lack of ability to get to the point in a verse? Well these songs pretty much put that argument to bed. He been putting in work with these verse since he was doing mixtapes rmx like Muhammad Walks and Conflict Diamonds. The proof is in the verse right there for anybody to see. You changed your argument to him being able to make whole albums with each verse having a concise point but I aint heard Kendrick do that either in every verse for a whole album but as far as Lupe having the ability to make a point in a verse? I mean thats already been proven to a degree that I doubt Kendrick will ever be able to do lyrically.

          18. Chronic says:

I think all he was trying to say was lupe goes over people’s heads and beats around the bush bu using insane metaphors (which increases his lyricism) and has bars for days. But what he does in a whole verse, Kendrick gets the same point across in 2 lines

          19. marty mcfly says:

I put that argument to bad already. You people must really be lost when listening to Lupe cause he gets his point across with ease. You listened to the complexities of his latest album and act like he been rapping like that for years. No. If he’s going that far over your head then listen closer. If Kendrick gets his point across with fewer lines, that does not mean he did anything iller then Lu if Lupe didn’t intend to be simplistic with his point in the first place. Again, on Around My Way Lupe made 50 points and did each one in one line.

          20. Chronic says:

lupes music is overly complicated, just so he can try to show us how smart he is. You shouldn’t need rap genius to understand a song. And just cause you say Lupes better, and are seemingly his biggest dick rider ever, doesn’t make you right kid. Kendrick has a clear message that he tries to get across and fluidity to his albums. Lupe is all over the place, and his music just isn’t as good as kendricks

          21. marty mcfly says:

SOME of his music is overly complicated. The majority of it is not. The Cool for example is not rocket science even though its complicated. Kendrick has a message? Lupe has dropped a few hundred messages… You say I’m dick riding, I listed about 20 something songs with specific messages that are clear and right to the point with no complications or confusions. Thats not dick riding, thats providing proof of skills, line for line, message for message. You just talking like Kendrick is better but nothing he has said thus far is gonna outdo those songs I listed cause overall they contain a hundred messages that all are more creative and more lyrically intricate and even more clear then Kendrick’s even when Kendrick is rapping in a simple way. Go through the lyrics before you talk as if Kendrick can fuck with them.

          22. marty mcfly says:

The fact that Lupe even has people going to Rap Genius says more about his skills then whatever negativity people can say about him. Being smart isn’t a bad thing artistically. There are more people that associate Lupe intelligence and skills with better dope then anything negative. The fact Kendrick is more simple lyrically doesn’t really suggest thats better.

          23. marty mcfly says:

The nigga can make a point about a whole bunch of shit using delivery pizza as the concept in each verse… I mean really Lupe is on some other shit fam. COMEONSON

          24. Bret The Hitman Fucking Hart says:

Post some lyrics and song from both to prove your point. You’re wasting our time stating opinions.

          25. Mike D. says:

Nigga get your remedial ass out here! Fk i look like doing the knowledge for you?! You got listen and do your own math! I’m sure I stated in all my post about this….this is MY opinion. Ole salamander face ass nigga! LOL

PS – And again, MY opinion, I don’t think Lupe has done anything as poignant and TO THE POINT as “Sing About Me”. My point was about Brevity…Lupe doesn’t have that!

            Megamind

          26. Bret The Hitman Fucking Hart says:

U typed a paragraph but couldn’t prove your point. Now your mad cuz now people on the Internet knows your full of shit too.

          27. Mike D. says:

Cognitive thinking and reading interpretation was lost on you…but that’s ok.

            Megamind

          28. Chronic says:

No you and the other dumbasses just didn’t understand…what he says makes complete sense

          29. GetReal says:

the truth of the matter is kendrick lamar is just way more likable than lupe fiasco, niggas who would never listen to lupe are way more inclined to listen to kendrick, sad but thats just the way it is

          30. marty mcfly says:

Kendrick is a media darling and Lupe never was. Lupe was never concerned with being liked or worried about what niggas listen to. Lupe came in to tell the truth period and he doesn’t give a fuck who likes it or doesn’t. Now Kendrick could have the same intention but he was greeted with a an ocean of dickriders and hypebeasts. Lupe was not. Also Lupe gets hated on because of ageism. The fact he’s older then Kendrick will make some people say Kendrick is a better MC purely based on age not skills.

          31. GetReal says:

no you are wrong lupe just comes off as a pretentious asshole who thinks he knows everything, this would be ok if his music was as captivating as his dialogue, lupe technically is one of the top rappers, but lyrical ability is just one aspect of being a great artist, you speak of ageism when kanye west does exactly what lupe does on a way simpler level and was out before him, yet people care about what kanye does, for example lupe samples strange fruit on strange fruition and goes in discussing what the song is really about, nobody gives a fuck, kanye does blood on leaves everybody listens, being a great rapper technically cant be the only thing that makes the masses like you, its not about being a media darling cuz i know endless people who don’t like lupe simply becuase he comes off annoying ass fuck and like a hater, kendrick is way more focused than lupe and people can see it

          32. marty mcfly says:

Ok so Lupe is not liked, and he’s not great and people don’t understand him and he’s an asshole but yet he’s been selling out his own tours where he headlines for almost a decade around the country and the world with people from all walks of life saying he’s a great rapper. So if you and your friends don’t see him as a great rapper it doesn’t really matter. Lupe doesn’t need to be liked. He already has accomplished more being not liked then most of the mainstream rappers who are liked. Just know that when its comes to the art of rap, Kendrick can’t fuck with Lupe period.

          33. GetReal says:

i personally like his music, but i know if he keeps rapping in code the way he does he won’t be gaining any new fans anytime soon

          34. marty mcfly says:

Lupe doesn’t need any new fans. He just left the msuci business. Tetsuo & Youth was his last album on Atlantic and the last time he does any interviews. He’s out. It would seem that rapping in code has work out pretty well for Mr. Fiasco and like me, there are plenty of other people that understand his music.

          35. marty mcfly says:

Kendrick is a media darling and Lupe never was.

          36. Greenbergs says:

u are out of your mind if you actually think kendrick is better than lupe…his first albums alone kill anything kendrick has released..

          37. I agree with you my G that is why Kendrick or J.Cole is winning is because they figure it out that over the head with bars is good but trying to get a message across will not win people over. J.Cole keep it simple and hit you straight to your heart and Kendrick tend to be over your head but not to complex but his message is direct.

          38. jetadore hommie says:

Sometimes when I listen to grafh and King los. I think if they slow it down a little the rest of the world will “get it” but that’s also partly why I love their music. It’s the rewind factor each word each syllable each bar packed with complex

          39. Mike D. says:

Don’t get me wrong…i respect and love to hear bars! I’m just saying that the “GREATS” know that brevity, being concise and direct is the way to the heart. Esp with this generation. That’s why they love the dumbed down stuff because most people don’t think or like to!

Los is DOPE…I never dug graph tho

            Megamind

          40. jetadore hommie says:

The direct approach dies out after a while esp. by being too direct. The greats have a way of being direct and complex. It’s the beauty of mcing. The master of brevity is hov. Even though nas is the greatest bc his poetry is filled with visual social commentary. Jayz is a very complex lyricist DECODE allowed me to catch hidden gems. Grafh is a mixture of kool g rap nas jay z and eminem. He does it in a laid back arrogant crazy street narrative way. He comes off as a jerk with his tone similar to confessions of fire sde killa cam. Just listen I started to pick up on his shit of late

          41. cA says:

            Interesting statement.

          42. Greenbergs says:

exactly..i wanna hear shit that we havent already heard from someone else in diff. terms..

        2. The problem is that Lupe be going over niggas head to much he need balance.

          1. marty mcfly says:

Lupe aint going over people’s head. Fools just pretending to be slow. You say Cole keep it simple? Imo his shit too damn simple. If Lupe is going over people’s heads that don’t necessarily mean Cole and Kendrick are better rappers either.

          2. Da Business says:

Both of u r right. Lupe is the superior emcee but, K.Dot’s delivery is more direct. Kendrick is what Lupe was supposed to be. I feel tho that label politics played a major role in this equation. It’s clear as day that Kendrick has the support of his label and Lupe doesn’t.

          3. marty mcfly says:

Lupe isnt what Kendrick is because he’s already passed what Kendrick is. You people need to really listen to Lupe rap and figure out who you fucking with.

          4. Da Business says:

Ay Marty, I feel were u’re coming from. Lupe is the better emcee and I fux w/ him. But, bcuz he’s a very complex mc, he won’t have the same reach as Kendrick. That’s all I’m saying. The average listener isn’t going to take the time out to digest all the ins and outs of lupe’s lyrics.

          5. marty mcfly says:

Lupe doesn’t need anymore reach because his skills have taken him all around the globe. There is no where else to go. He doesn’t need the average listeners either which is why he almost never makes music for them. Lupe aint talking to people who have a hard time digesting complex music, he’s talking to the people who enjoy digesting that kinda music. I think some of you think Lupe is concerned with being ultra famous? He never struck me as ever caring about that.

          6. Lupe has a song call dumb it down for a reason he knows his lyrics goes over people head. I am pretty sure Lupe like it that way, that is why people who like him mess with him in the first place. His label has a lot to do with Lupe not being the guy right now. I am not saying Cole and Kendrick are better rappers what I am saying is that most people like hearing music that is direct, there could be some complexity there but not to much to bore the listener. Take Wale for example great artist but sometimes he can be boring. the whole point of music is to make you feel a certain way or just listening to a interesting story. All I am saying is that Lupe need balance that is all.

          7. marty mcfly says:

Lupe never had to be “the guy”, he aint no media darling. Is Nicki Minaj better then Lupe because she’s more famous? Of course not. We not talking about what most people like or the fact that people are so stupid that can’t understand what Lupe is saying. Is Kendrick and Cole better rappers then Lupe? NO period.

          8. Listen I am a big Lupe fan but I am telling you the what I see. Lupe was at one point the new dude the media darling like K.dot whether he wanted or not he was but his third album and his political views drove people away. Lupe could of easily still be going gold on every LP at this point.Lupe is one of the greats drop a near classic album Tetsuo & Youth but the impact could of been bigger if he just had a balance to him.

          9. marty mcfly says:

Your a big fan though. Lupe’s impact was big enough and its really no telling how big it was because he’s one of the only MCs who has consistently toured off his own merit with acts that he chooses for his openings. Again, people stuck on lasers instead of the other couple hundred songs he’s released that they love like its their songs. Even Lasers has multiple dope songs that Kendrick nor anybody else can really fuck with and thats musically lyrically and conceptually. Lupe doesn’t need any more balance with his kinda catalogue because I doubt you will ever see Kendrick surpass it artistically.

        3. tjp says:

Just listen to Tetsuo & Youth and then speak again, nothing is touching that this year. And lyrically Lupe is far superior to Kendrick. Fact! The fact that Kendrick fans can’t go on any of his songs without mentioning Lupe speaks volumes about Lupe’s greatness.

      2. Greenbergs says:

personally i agree….white kids purchase music. point blank, and they sure as hell aint gonna purchase black power songs..

        1. marty mcfly says:

In Kendrick’s case I think white people gonna be lined up around the block to buy this black power music. Its happened before with Ice Cube, Public Enemy, Wu Tang etc…

          1. Greenbergs says:

for some reason, i highly doubt that….again maybe you could be right, but with the racial tensions going on i doubt it ..

          2. marty mcfly says:

Its alot of white people that are into this kinda music. If you in a city like Oakland or Philly or Chicago, you’d run into white people that are supportive of this kinda Hip Hop. If you talk to white people with a sense of history, you’d find alot of white people supportive of this kinda Hip Hop. If you even been to a Run The Jewels, Mos Def, Immortal Tech, Jay Electronica etc… Show, you’d see alot of white people who like this kinda music. When Black power and afrocentric Hip Hop was at the height of its influence in the early 90s, who do you think bought alot of those albums? White people. Gone

          3. Greenbergs says:

you are 1000 percent correct, the underachievers, flatbush zombies, joey badass are proof of that…but one thing you dont understand is that kendrick lamar is a MAINSTREAM HIPOP ARTIST..

          4. marty mcfly says:

Mainstream and underground fans both listen to the same music imo. Everybody just does a good job at pretending they don’t. Hip Hop heads have commercial albums in their stash and mainstream heads got Hip Hop purest music in their stash too so people can stop pretending their closed minded now. Mainstream fans know what Black Power is and they understand english like everybody else.

          5. Greenbergs says:

thats the most unfactual fact ive ever heard…youre telling me a girl who listens to nicki minaj is gon have lauren hill on her shit and fugees, and 3d natee and whatnot…? cmon bruh..

          6. marty mcfly says:

Actually yeah that is what I’m telling you. Like there are smart people out there. I know you may just look at someone and generalize or assume you know them but people do listen to multiple artists. Its really not hard to do that. I like Jeezy and Lupe Fiasco. So yes its very possible for someone to listen to both. Shit Nicki herself listens to Lauren Hill.

          7. Greenbergs says:

well you wrong, this isnt what the average hip hop fan is about..sorry to tell you. you can like drill music, but you def. aint gon fuck with fab at the same time..u seem slow im done

          8. marty mcfly says:

Well there’s about 200 million average Hip Hop fans in america and at least half of them have been listening to Hip Hop for more then a decade so you may think you know what everybody listens to but thats only because your an idiot.

          9. Greenbergs says:

bruh, you already got flamed, you finished, like you no longer have any relevance in this conversation, you making it a complete situation where sympathy and empathy is supposedly gonna give kendrick the advantage, but you know and i know you are wrong..listen its ok to be wrong my g, just go to bed already

          10. marty mcfly says:

Your delusion and stupidity is allowing you to make excuses. When you say a bunch of white people in the audience rapping these lyrics right along with Kendrick and supporting his new music. You and your cracker friends can just go listen to a white rapper to feel better about yourselves. Its cool.

          11. Greenbergs says:

oy vey, bro plz drink draino asap…

          12. marty mcfly says:

Please leave Hip Hop culture, a BLACK artform…

          13. GetReal says:

you’re not wanted here anymore get your racist ass out the comments you undercover faggot

          14. Greenbergs says:

white suburbia loves underground shit quote unquote, but hate mainstream shit..

          15. marty mcfly says:

Brah Whites who don’t wanna support can do Hip Hop culture the biggest favor and leave it alone. For the most part whites have done nothing but bite and copy the artform in which you hated and made fun of during its early years.

          16. Greenbergs says:

but whites are the only ones who make these so called rappers any money…fuckboy

          17. marty mcfly says:

Well thanks but just to be clear, since you talking so much about the underground. Even if whites didnt support you would still have successful black MCs. Black people supported Hip Hop in its early days and built it up to a mainstream level and then you crackers wanted in.

          18. Greenbergs says:

nigga, i know this….the only thing is you niggas would still be breaking on cardboard in the basement of clubs if it wasnt for “white boys”…kill yourself.

          19. marty mcfly says:

No fool no, actually Black MCs and Djs were touring throughout america and playing in front of black audiences in black neighborhoods before you came along whitey. Thanks, black people developed the sound, the style and the business model before you should up.

          20. Greenbergs says:

still going huh? aight bruh, if whitey never came along, u niggas wouldnt even have a category at the grammys bruh…lmao sad enough yall dont get airplay

          21. marty mcfly says:

No not the grammys… GTFOH, If us niggers didn’t start making music then almost every popular form of music in american culture period would’ve have gone past the barn yards that you crackers used to play guitar in where you were fuckin your sisters back in the day.

          22. Greenbergs says:

you are like the most dilusional hip hop fan on this planet…if whites didnt support or like hip hop than it wouldnt exist…shit wouldnt b played on the radio at all it would be lucky to get played on college radio stations, ur a fucking faggot bigot..

          23. marty mcfly says:

If black people didn’t create Hip Hop then so many whites wouldn’t be supporting but black people aint fooled. We know you was never really down with Hip Hop has an artfrom or a culture.

          24. Greenbergs says:

not to mention most classics wouldnt exist, ever heard of mc serch you fucking clown, only produced illmatic…not a big deal at all

          25. marty mcfly says:

Yeah cause Illmatic is the only rap album to ever be released. Smh

          26. Greenbergs says:

go do your fucking homework ya dumb leeroy..smh

          27. marty mcfly says:

I didn’t even bring that shit up, you did cracker. Thats your homework not mine.

          28. Greenbergs says:

without whites you niggers are just monkeys with a mic…sorry not sorry

          29. marty mcfly says:

And there it is… Let the racism flow bitch, I knew it was there and thats why you feel some type of way. Fuck you devils and every cracker like you.

          30. Greenbergs says:

nigger w / a keyboard….next time dont call me a white boy and try to patronize me..

          31. marty mcfly says:

Yeah that a do it, say nigger cause that makes your argument so much better right? LOL.

          32. Intlthink says:

Your on a rap comments section calling rap fans nigger and your at the same time trying to have an argument about hiphop music ? You’ve lost the conversation the argument and your own creditability, Do me a favour and leave your dumbass contact details on this page so we can meet and ‘discuss’ your opinions on me and my race.

          33. diggz says:

            ok now u fuckin retarted

          34. thirtyyearoldmillionaire says:

See i’m just reading this flow of comments and now you calling marty a nigger ??? “you niggers are just monkey’s with a mic” ???

          35. diggz says:

u fuckin piece of shit, go fuk yourself

          36. GetReal says:

get your bitch ass off this site and go fuck your dog or sister, whatever it is you do in your spare time or go steal some money you fuckin kike

          37. Greenbergs says:

            aww some ones gonna cwy…

          38. GetReal says:

bitch you’re a coward post your fb to show your face

          39. Greenbergs says:

awww, paww babyy you gonna cwy, its ok everything will be fine bro…the answer to your question is why you dont have a link to your facebook…

          40. Greenbergs says:

real shit i used to have a diff. account with my face shown and twitter but the shit is mad annoying when you have trolls making different accounts trying to add you.

          41. GetReal says:

stop arguing with this bitch ass white boy he obviously feels insecure about something he needs to kill himself along with other weak ass white people he associates himself with

          42. marty mcfly says:

There are alot more whites that love mainstream music then underground. White people always talk about how they love underground Hip Hop so much? Why does that matter? So does like every other race in america. Latins, asians, blacks… plenty of people like underground music. So what. Newsflash, there are a few hundred million white people in america so the reason why its so many fans of this BLACK artform is because the black people are the ones creating this culture for the most part while whites just watch, copy, and pirate it.

          43. Greenbergs says:

not reading this shit, based on your previous comments, you are clearly a supreme loser, i suggest you take time sorting out your thoughts and your life..

          44. marty mcfly says:

Black people love underground Hip Hop too thats why were always creating and progressing it.

          45. Greenbergs says:

ok bruh u win..lmao like you keep giving me responses that dont answer anything or respond to anything, ur trying to make yourself seem correct like you the one thats the one who understand things, but clearly you really dont..

          46. marty mcfly says:

I won after you let your racism out the bag. Your not Hip Hop, your an enemy of the culture and this song is for you buddy and everybody like you.

          47. Greenbergs says:

nigga called me a white boy and was disrespecting me, foh ill say what i please since i was called a kike my whole life by leeroys like you thinking you better than everybody, go the fuck to sleep, we both are hated by whites, now stfu and go to bed younging

          48. marty mcfly says:

You aint hated by whites cracker, your a white boy yourself. You the one throwing around the word nigger as if I as a black man I’m supposed to be offended by that in 2015. I like when devils let the nigger come out, rep your racism cause it only further demonstrates your ignorance. I don’t give a fuck about what you were called your whole life. Your a cracker, I give zero fucks about you white boy.

          49. marty mcfly says:

Even with the racial tensions being high, how many white faces did you see out there protesting, chanting and holding signs? I’m sure some was faking it but alot of those white folks was serious about Black Lives Matter… Human life is human life at the end of the day. Regardless of color, you have some white people that respect human life bottomline so when they hear Kendrick goin in on this song, they know he’s black but they can feel his plight.

          50. Greenbergs says:

listen, clearly im white, and i could easily tell you now that maybe 1 out of every 8 white kids will like this song…im 100 percent sure of that.

          51. marty mcfly says:

Thats cool, Its gonna be way more white people that are not gonna support Kendrick. Thats fine cause you was never here to support the culture anyway unless its a white rapper doing it. Now you may not personally be like that but many white people are. If your white and offended by this song then Kendrick is talking to you. Your the enemy…

          52. Greenbergs says:

if im the enemy, kendrick just made a whole fuck ton of enemies….

          53. marty mcfly says:

Thats fine because you were his enemies already. Like you may personally not feel any type of way but there is a HUGE part of america that say fuck Kendrick period just because he’s black and proud of it. That section of america hates all Hip Hop culture period unless its from a white rapper. Now again, if you wanna deny that reality of america then you only lying to yourself cause you know damn well it exists.

          54. Greenbergs says:

yet ALL of his fans are white suburbia….its ok kid…im going the fuck to sleep its 6.30 where im at, im not gonna sit here arguing with your dumb ass all night about some shit that u have no clue about..

          55. marty mcfly says:

Thats cool, with me. Whites supporting a black man thats making music like this is a win win for Hip Hop culture. ALL his fans are not white by the way, thats just your stupidity talking again. Black people ARE HIP HOP CULTURE. We embody the culture and the art. You have no choice but to buy into what you have very little rhythm or soul to create yourself.

          56. Greenbergs says:

dude, u need to go get some white pussy and chill with some white folks, then come speak to me….a lot of them are more “black cultured” than yall folks…but i really dont need to see this conversation go any further you are blind, culturally, and factually.

          57. marty mcfly says:

Well I don’t know what black people you know but it aint know crackers thats more “black cultured” then the black people I know ok. You devils just wannabe “black cultured” but your not and will never be no matter how much rap you listen to. Your just confused like Em was when he used to wear du rags. LOL

          58. Greenbergs says:

ive never ever seen any white guy other than eminem wearing a du rag, maybe in the suburbs where you reside..

          59. marty mcfly says:

Yeah thats who I said, Eminem your fucking hero and the suburbs is where white people support Hip Hop the most because you wannabes wanna know what this culture is about from a black mans perspective but you still hate black people so you’ll accept the watered down version from Eminem. You can relate to Em rapping about wanting to kill his mother but when you hear songs like this you feel some type of way because again, you identify with the enemy that Kendrick is talking about in this song.

          60. Greenbergs says:

            eminem? hero? suburbs? na famzo…

          61. marty mcfly says:

Oh ok, Slim Shady, role model, trailer park, barn yard, yeah whitey…

          62. Greenbergs says:

naw leeroy, get that through your thick skull, loved the marshall mathers lp but that was his only raw album!!!

          63. marty mcfly says:

            He’s your hero whitey.

          64. Greenbergs says:

            ok leeroy…

          65. marty mcfly says:

            Ok Cracker

          66. Greenbergs says:

            zzzzzzzzzzZZZZZzzzz leeroy brown.

          67. marty mcfly says:

You really like the leeroy thing LOL. Like is that supposed to offend me? Fail. You probably got one of them standard and cliche white boy names and thats why you mad. Zachary or Dick or some shit like that. Take the L already.

          68. Greenbergs says:

uhm, no, and will you PLEASE just stfu already, go smoke a spliff, go do something like stop commenting me…i keep getting emails cuz of your faggot ass with no life..leeroy

          69. marty mcfly says:

Clearly I don’t give a fuck whitey. You shoulda kept your mouth shut after yesterday but since you wanna keep it going, Its all good with me Andy

          70. Greenbergs says:

please go to bed ya lil dumb leeroy, dont ya got some grits you gotta finish or some pigs feet in the fridge, leave me alone leeroy! damn!

          71. marty mcfly says:

LOL keep it coming cracker, all that shit you sayin only validates my comments even further. I got grits, pork, all that shit but one thing I never had to do is carry around racism in my mentality. You already lost at that point just as human being.

          72. Greenbergs says:

dont make daddy come in there now and give ya a whoopin! ill tell ya leeroy i never seen a more misbehaved child in my life….u gon make daddy have to catch a murder charge if ya keep going with yer bullshiett…

          73. marty mcfly says:

No kid, the only one to get sonned here was you. Clearly

          74. Greenbergs says:

are you gon make daddy bring out the whip, cuz ill give ya real whoopin, city bwoi!!

          75. JCole Fan says:

ALL? So you’re so disconnected from black culture it’s ridiculous. This is exactly what people have been talking about white black fetishism. We try not to make Yall feel excluded when appreciating hip-hop, but then you say some pretentious dumb shit like that.

Kendrick got to point he’s at by connecting with the hood from a storytelling perspective and to the black middle class by not talking about materialistic wishes.

Respect the culture and the roots of those who make great hip-hop for your to enjoy. It was never intended to be made for a white audience but we don’t exclude. Keep that ignorant mentality of yours for Miranda lambert.

          76. diggz says:

you go to sleep at 6:30? lol

          77. GetReal says:

shut the fuck up you don’t know wtf you talkin about get your white ass off this post if you feel that way you fuckin culture vulture

          78. BMAMBA says:

Oh no Kendrick is so scared that he made an enemy.. stfu n listen to the music

          79. diggz says:

yeeah I’m white and it’s OK lol, just being honest. I can’t feel what he’s sayin that’s all, not a racist bone in my body so I don’t be thinkin what he’s sayin so I can’t relate.

          80. marty mcfly says:

            Thank you

          81. ilexx says:

I wish I could be there to see your face when you realize how wrong you are….

Fam just because you and your friends on Facebook feel some type of way, has nothing to do with the white girl who is tweeting “the blacker the berry the sweeter the juice” right now. As I’m typing this its still trending on twitter a day later.

            Anyway u said u 100% sure right? Lol we’ll see…

          82. Greenbergs says:

lol a few negro loving white women on twitter mean jack shit…

          83. ilexx says:

Takes more than a few “negro loving” white women to have something trending for a whole day and some change…. but honestly bro you need to check yourself, do you know what type of people say shit like “negro loving”?!?! Racist mothafuckaz, now I’m not saying you are racist but through out this conversation in this comment section your tone and choice of words seemed to be a bit racist. You might wanna fix that.

I’m not sure what you enjoy about Hip Hop culture if you can’t have some respect for black people.

          84. Greenbergs says:

you right, it takes an industrial machine like interscope behind you…

          85. Greenbergs says:

eminem is guilty too..dont get me wrong

          86. Greenbergs says:

like i said 1 out of every 8, theres a lot of white kids on this hemisphere….you do the math. payola, etc…

          87. Greenbergs says:

i posted this song to my facebook profile which is mostly white friends, and even kendrick lamar fans and die hard shady aftermath fans didnt like the shit…

          88. marty mcfly says:

A huge portion of Shady fans hate Hip Hop culture and only identify with Eminem because he’s white.

          89. Greenbergs says:

you possibly may be the most retarded blogger ive came across, shady dickriders dickride anything shady/aftermath/gunit/interscope…. if they aint feeling the latest kendrick shit like “i” and this shit then it shows a lot….

          90. marty mcfly says:

Do a large portion of white fans (especially in middle america where there’s a hundred million white people and very few black) identify with Em and champion him to high degree because he’s white? If your gonna deny that then your lying to yourself.

          91. Greenbergs says:

obv. but like i said shady dickriders will dickride anything having to do with 50 cent , dre, d12, shit it could be fucking a release from obie trice…u just dont understand its ok

          92. marty mcfly says:

Thats a lie. There is a huge portion of Shady fans who don’t give a fuck about 50 or Dre or Obie lol.

          93. Greenbergs says:

            SHUT UP already

          94. Greenbergs says:

u dont have a clue as to what you say..

          95. marty mcfly says:

Yes I do, its still alot of whites that hate that nigger music lol but love Eminem though.

          96. marty mcfly says:

You said it all when you said “mostly white friends”… Ya’ll are supposed to feel some type of way and personally I’m tired of artists being concerned with white people’s feelings.

          97. GetReal says:

this song was trending on twitter all night fam wtf does you small list of friends who are probably above 30 have to do with who and who doesn’t like this song my nigga

          98. Tesla Ink says:

            I agrizzle my nizzle

          99. JCole Fan says:

            Chill out white boy.

          100. Tesla Ink says:

Yeah actually I don’t know if it’s just me, but I remember the 90’s youth in general maybe seemed to gravitate towards a more socially conscious art form. The big big artists of the 90’s include biggie, pac, wu tang, nwa, run dmc, Lauryn, public enemy and that’s an iota of just the hip hop genre I’m sure I’ve left heaps of artists out. Even in other genres, nirvana, the cranberries…. The
List goes on. I know even in australia I went to a school during that time and the white kids, the Italians, Greeks, Lebanese and Asian all listened to all of the above. Maybe this gen is fucked

          1. diggz says:

lol this song showing racist side of mother fuckers. Green Bergs just wasted his damn time aint no one liking his comments, fuckin just go away

          2. Greenbergs says:

i dont do this for the likes my friend..i speak the truth, in this case this isnt “the song” for the masses…imo “i” had a better chance at succeeding..

          3. marty mcfly says:

This isnt the song for white people who have that racist gene in them. This song says fuck ya’ll and thats why your mad. Kendrick aint gotta make songs for racists to enjoy. If your offended then Kendrick is talking to you. Crackers think everything is about them, even the music that was never meant to represent them in any way shape or form. FOH

          4. Greenbergs says:

he’s actually saying blacks are hypocrites and they are their own worst enemies..but okay dumbass.

          5. marty mcfly says:

He didn’t say that. He repeats hypocrite because the point he’s making behind that is true but don’t get it twisted, he’s talking to people like you and representing people like me proudly. Stupidass you are the enemy in Kendrick’s eyes clearly.

          6. Greenbergs says:

listen buddy, whatever helps you rest at night…fine with me

          7. marty mcfly says:

Its common sense buddy, clearly he just shitted on you and only briefly talked to me in the song. You the enemy in the song, not me.

          8. Greenbergs says:

damn?…u still going? its okay bruh like im not the one who has to wake up and live up to this everyday…im good over here g

          9. marty mcfly says:

I’m good too fool but your feelings were hurt cause if they wasn’t you wouldn’t have an issue here. Now if you not trippin, STFU

          10. Greenbergs says:

dammmmn, bruh, u real butthurt u just like the energizer bunny, u keep going and going and going…like homie stfu already im not the one who keeps writing shit caring about this situation at all it dont affect me…

          11. marty mcfly says:

You the one that came back and replied to some shit I said yesterday. Clearly you hurt bitch, if it didnt affect you, you wouldn’t said shit. My comments brought the nigger outta you and thats cause the song in general struck your soul like the devil you and the crackers like you are.

          12. Greenbergs says:

bruh, you starting to contradict yourself and not make any sense, and dont edit the comment now, its ok bruh you brought the nigger out of me and now it struck my soul like the cracker i am, listen just go to bed already kid…obv you had way too many pixy stix…

          13. marty mcfly says:

That sounds about right. You was getting mad after you heard this song and made some argument about how you and your whitey friends wouldn’t like. Then I, like the song basically said fuck you and your cracker farm family and friends and you couldn’t take it and now you going on and on about it… Take the L whitey and word of advise, if your racist, don’t go the extra mile to prove it when as if thats gonna help your argument. White boy temper tantrum shit. Smh

          14. Greenbergs says:

when the comment says see more, i dont read the comment, u sir, just wasted a good 5 minutes of your life writing that bullshit…go to bed leeroy its way past your bed time..brush your teeth!

          15. marty mcfly says:

Might as well, cause clearly you can’t fuck with me on any level. You feel some type of way about the song and about my comments and even when I was just talking like a normal person you kept getting angrier till you couldn’t take it anymore and then you showed your true colors which is racism. Just as I expected. Take this L along with this song from Kendrick. Many of your white brothers and sisters will be singing along when it drops.

          16. Greenbergs says:

folks, my retarded son leeroy with down syndrome has no clue what he is saying so please do not hold him to his words, please just judge him as a normal black man…

          17. marty mcfly says:

A black man that just exposed your mentality, thus validating this song as well as my comments and opinions and there is nothing you can do but hold that and anybody reading this will agree. Get that hate out your heart white man, the rest of your people are leaving your good ol boy mentality behind. I see you still stuck there. All you can do now is make jokes I guess cause the realness just destroyed you and your mentality in multiple ways.

          18. Greenbergs says:

leeroy leeroy leeroy, when will you understand that your pointless words have no effect on me as a person and they never will bwoi!? …u sir will always be the scum of society and liable to catch a whoopin, now im done with you for the night, you can keep monkeying around while i have sex and impregnate your fine black mother..

          19. marty mcfly says:

Don’t fool yourself white boy, you most definitely took an L and judging by your multiple angry, emotional, and immature responses, you took the L hard. Your comments only highlight just how hurt you really are inside. LOL

          20. Greenbergs says:

lol, u still going, damn u must be real butthurt leeroy..its ok one day u might wake up and youll be white skinned…

          21. marty mcfly says:

genetically recessive skin? No thanks. My skin is melanated which is one reason why I’m more spiritually connected to nature and the universe then you will ever be. Having more rhythm and soul are just clues to the science of melatonin. An element that is literally beyond the mind capacity of white people’s ability to understand. You keep saying I’m still going? These are responses to your losing streak of comments. I’ll cool off white skin cause black skin was here thousands of years before you and will be here thousands of years after your watered down race dies off.

          22. Greenbergs says:

dude, shut the fuck up already u fucking loser….leeroy ass negro

          23. marty mcfly says:

Not even nature agrees with your kinda which is why the sun itself burns, gives cancer and kills off white people just for being outside too much. I know you feel like king shit but every other race is parent to your people. The only thing whites have creating in the only millennium of your existence is war, everything else you stole from other people. Even your belief in God came from Africa. No I don’t want white skin cause even though you think you all that, your nothing more then the personification of evil and the cold regions of this planet where for the most part you dwelled in caves and walked on all fours until my ancient ancestors civilized you. In the long run, your rule over this world will only last for a blinking of the universes eye then you’ll disappear like the devils you truly are.

          24. Greenbergs says:

bruh, u so mad as fuck its sad im not even reading your comments and u still tryna like offend me, dude you are black im white, im happy, you are sad…get over it

          25. marty mcfly says:

Not at all, there is nothing to get over after destroying your mentality to such a degree in numerous ways. It was fun. Done

          26. Greenbergs says:

naw, u just mad cuz i literally am just smoking spliff after spliff with my bitch here and drinking beers laughing together at your dumb ass continuing to comment, u most likely are alone and sad to continue this for so long thinking i read these paragraphs…HA! goodnight leeroy

          27. marty mcfly says:

Smoking, and drinking with a bitch… Lol, this is the basic shit you consider achievements. What your doing now, I have already done thousands of times with better quality weed, drank and women. I’m already well beyond your basic ambitions in life. Goodnight

          28. Greenbergs says:

i thought u was done son? what happened…u too much of a loser and too sad and butthurt to quit..? i assume so i mean u been at this shit for at least 5 hours now and i still dont even read the comments u write, u clearly are one sad ass individual.

          29. Greenbergs says:

that explains why all you leeroys are so fucking stupid then right?

          30. thirtyyearoldmillionaire says:

Greenberg fuck face – why don’t you leave a link to your facebook or twitter cunt ? You out here calling us Niggers ? You think you hold any creditability ?

          31. Greenbergs says:

the same reason yall leeroys dont have links to yall shit…

          32. Greenbergs says:

u must be mad, aww dont cwy…

          33. Greenbergs says:

btw dude originally disrespected me and was calling a stupid white boy…thats what set me off leeroy brown

          34. marty mcfly says:

Its cool man, once that comes out they’ve already lost. Any comments from us after that is just victory laps. Not only did he lose in regards to the subject at hand, he loses as just a person in general. I’m gone, peace fam.

          35. Greenbergs says:

btw creditability isnt a real word famzo…

    3. Jimmy says:

      So is your mother

  6. imenzaga says:

OKKKKKK kdotttttt this is what ive been waitingo n

  7. cmonhomiewemajor says:

how does he get so many passes on copying outkast?

    1. Dashing28 says:

I don’t think Outkast ever spit this close to militant. Correct me if I’m wrong though.

      1. tututhebadboy says:

Woah. What do you mean by militant?…
Try Bombs Over Baghdad. Not cuz of the name, even tho… But because of the flow, words.. yea they definitely did tho.

      2. Da Business says:

Do urself a favor and listen to ATLiens asap.

        1. Dashing28 says:

I know ATLIens very well. It didn’t have the aggression that Kendrick brings though. Not saying it’s better or worse, but it’s different.

The hook def has a Kast influence, but not the verses or the beat.

          1. Da Business says:

I gotta disagree w/u, my G. ‘Kast wasn’t as aggressive but, the message has always been there. That’s 1 of the things that I appreciate most about K.Dot. He gives me that same feeling that I had as a kid w/ Outkast. Spitting that real shit while being entertaining.

          2. Dashing28 says:

I agree. I’m just saying when people say that Kendrick bites outkast they neglect the aggressive west coast passion/anger he raps with that Outkast didn’t really do.
They had way more groove and soul throughout their music and also more musical experimentation (although we’ll see what K.Dot comes with next).

Not saying who’s better or worse, just saying that the Outkast comparisons should stop when you hear a record like “Backseat freestyle” or “Hiipower” or the verses on this record. He’s got influences, but he’s his own artist.

          3. Da Business says:

N!99@$ just be bitchin’, don’t stress that. K. Dot is a hip hop head period. He studied and learned from the greats so, we’re going to hear his influences thru his music. But I agree that he will/can stand on his own 2.

      3. cmonhomiewemajor says:

        Return of the G

        Synthesizer

        Xplosion

        Gangsta Shit

    2. Mr. white says:

Cause ppl are dick riders smh

    3. kirk says:

3000’s bars went over a lot of people’s heads because of the melody in their music. Bombs over Baghdad he dropped some jewels but everyone was too busy shaking their ass to hear it.

    4. GetReal says:

because who the fuck complains when somebody shows influence from one of the greatest groups in music history

  8. Dr. Tre says:

Got dayum. Still trying to unpack all these bars. “Black as the heart of an Aryan” woooooooo #ProudMonkey

  9. el jim chapo guzman says:

dope track’ but there’s no need to compare blacks to a monkey.

  10. Dafuq says:

Dat hunger in his verses. Amazing.

I wish Kendrick would alienate himself publicly from all these other wack rap clowns, but hip hop is like the NBA now. Everyone is a friend.

    1. primoO9 says:

none of them are friends and they’re all fake including the one u speak of… its a completion keep it civil but keep it moving
these “friendly” posts with each other on social media never seemed genuine to me although kdot and cole don’t do too much of that

    2. Green Atlas says:

What’s wrong with black people being friends and respectful of one another? You want people to be antagonistic towards each other so that you can fulfill your hip hop wet dreams?

      1. Dafuq says:

When the fuck did I say only black people? Dumb ass.

        1. Green Atlas says:

LOOOOL Has referring to me as a dumb ass relieved you of all of your frustrations? What exactly is the point of the disrespect?

          1. Dafuq says:

            LOOOOOOOL

says the guy who took his time to reply to me.

          2. Green Atlas says:

Your point? Replying to you is disrespectful? Is that what you’re basing your rudeness on? Or are you the type to try and sell something that you realistically can’t fulfill? Own up to your nonsense, b. Or just keep it moving. Stop lying to yourself, because you’re not fooling me with your phantom logic.

          3. Dafuq says:

You shot the first insult, so maybe u should own up to ur nonsensical circular logic, b.

  11. Da Business says:

BOUT DAMN TIME!!! Just drop the Lp already…

  12. T says:

feat. Assassin? Kendrick is that guy and i’m glad it’s still a few niggas in the game that ain’t scared to say the shit Dead Prez was rapping back in the day… It has that Outkast feel but Kendrick Flow is different, Plus theirs only one Big Boi and 3Stacks

    1. El Fenomeno says:

      yup thats assasin

  13. LookingAssNigga says:

this shit was CRACK, this boy is special.

  14. ncprecise says:

    Damn i needed this

  15. SS says:

Kendrick’s is movin in on hiphop with this album like a storm.

  16. b1g daddy coonie says:

C’mon now doe, we gotta give 1da creds cuz beat was nasty…

    1. Greenbergs says:

thats the only thing giving the song any power…white people purchase music, you picture white dudes bumping this shit in the whip?

  17. driza says:

Kdot killin em..1da this is classic shit

  18. kam6 says:

    Boi-1da for the win #tdot

  19. Dashing28 says:

Kendrick just clarified the comments he made in Billboard by going into a lot more detail. #RealShit

  20. yorapper says:

This is gonna inspire some crazy broke nigga to kill some white people.

    1. ♎Lauren♎ says:

I wouldn’t be mad if this inspired gang bangers to turn their energy to the real enemy.

      1. yorapper says:

        You must be broke.

    2. alex says:

      You misinterpreted the song.

      1. yorapper says:

        You misinterpreted the interpreter.

  21. I like the beat and the mix down; those drums are hard as fuck. As for the verses, very uncut and sincere. Can’t wait to hear the album in it’s entirety.

  22. MogulStatus says:

They fact he got Reggae Dancehall Artist Assassin on this is amazing!!!! Assassin was also featured on Yeezus

  23. alex says:

Notice how the album is blending in the end towards I can only assume another great record. Different content but no change in quality. Excited.

  24. 123 says:

    1. Superb94 says:

thats actually a pretty accurate list yo. props. I’d exchange 2 chainz for someone else though. No hate, but he’s just not on my list.

    2. radio raheem says:

Please what is your YouTube page… I’m ready for this

    3. kudahfee says:

This shit is dope bruh & k dot is definitely that dude but your a weirdo period but hey if you think k dot is greater than nas jay big em tupac & Andre than more power to you. I just hope your not living in the moment based of this song. And you got the nerve to put 2 chianz ahead of tupac lol the fuck wrong with you.

      1. Starpoint feat Renee Diggs says:

        LOL. on that 2 chainz.

  25. Hussle says:

I loveeeee it when a song give me some chills…..nowadays its so difficult to get this feeling from new music. Kendrick you got it my nigga!

  26. The Rock says says:

He gotta pull a Beyonce tonight, the hype too real

    1. MNIMN says:

After that grammy “win” he should.

  27. radio raheem says:

    2015 = Hip Hop Revolution

    1. MNIMN says:

      1996 = hip hop revolution

  28. Trilles[Tx] says:

The emotion. THE EMOTION. K. Dot the GOD.

  29. Realistically says:

    Drake could never …

    1. Donn says:

Drake doesn’t have too. U guys want rappers to do things they just don’t do. Kendrick would never sing a whole r&b song. It’s not his lane. Respect both artists for the lanes they work well in. If every rapper sounded alike HipHop would be boring

      1. Realistically says:

        Have you forgotten?

“I got love for you all, but I’m tryna MURDER you niggas.
Tryna make sure your core fans NEVER HEARD of you niggas.
Don’t wanna hear not ONE MORE noun or verb from you niggas.
What is competition? I’m tryna RAISE THE BAR HIGH.
WHO TRYNA JUMP AND GET IT?”

The point is that Kendrick is king and continues to establish himself as the most versatile, gifted emcee in hip-hop. His music spans from pussy and patron to pro-black anthems, a greater range than any of his peers. And no, Kendrick wouldn’t sing a whole R&B song because he is a rapper, an emcee – remember?

    2. troublesome96 says:

this is a tweet I saw today

The collective energy of Drake, Kendrick and J. Cole is equally needed in sustaining tolerable new age in hip hop.

Why you have to go hard for one?
I’m a fan of all of their music period and you bringing up Drake in a Kendrick post just shows your fear? or something because if u don’t like drake or another artist why would u constantly bring them up?
That goes for Drake fans bringing up Kendrick in a drake post
…. like find something else to do… maybe support the artist you go so hard for instead of participating in these lame as fuck waste of time stan wars

      1. JReezy says:

Preach, but lol Stan Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Simps

    3. timbo88_ says:

how is drake going to talk about racial inequality when he hasn’t lived it the way an American has… cities in Canada are way more tolerable than one in the u.s
it wouldn’t be authentic coming from him which is why he doesn’t go there
(I’m a fan of Drake before people start screaming)

    4. Greenbergs says:

i think drake would do better…

    5. Drake is a different artist sir he has his own lane and he is winning and he is the best out and biggest out. I know it is cool to hate Drake but he delivers all the time. Don’t hate.

  30. Mr. white says:

Here comes the fucking dick riding! This song is trash I’m sorry. Great message, but naw.

    1. GetReal says:

its always that one nigga, i understand not liking the song but you need to shut the fuck up with the “its trash” argument, its so cool for you internet bitches to hate nowadays that you literally nit pick for any little thing to call it trash

  31. STEFisDOPE says:

This song has nothing to do with “Respectability Politics”. Kendrick is keeping it all the way real here. He speaks on “Institutional Racism” & whatever else in the first couple verses but, it’s almost like we’re not allowed to take a critical look at ourselves while also criticizing the ills in our society. He starts each verse starts saying that he himself is not perfect. Our community is not perfect. Not solely due to the institutionalized racism that we face on many levels but, also because of the oppression & petty micro-aggresions we place upon ourselves that are real. Whether we like to admit it or not. I really loved this song & I’m even more hype for the album. I’m an MC myself & I’ll humbly say that although it is a competition, to see a dude like this spit what he spits, the way he does, on such a consistent level….as a rapper & someone in the “sport” of hip-hop just like basketball or football, I can respect another man’s work ethic & greatness. Kendrick is great man. Respect & enjoy what he’s doing for the culture right now.

      1. brza says:

        1. Da Business says:

  46. M.A.T. says:

The last line might make Azealia Banks shut the fuck up finally.

  47. AKB says:

kendrick mentioned institutionalized racism ALL OVER the 2nd verse & then considered how the black community acts towards itself in the last 4 bars – son basically took us into his way of thinking – he thinks about how the system is treating him and his own people tend to treat him – very ill song

  48. E says:

Exactly what hip-hop needs in this state of emergency. Thank you Kendrick.

  49. BLACK EBERT says:

My nigga Kdot just made an anthem for blacks. Beautiful. 2 black thumbs up. WAY UP.

    1. Kevin Banks says:

Good question are you talking between the nominees or who really deserved it?

Stop it. Lyrically, Lupe will run laps around K.Dot.

      1. M.A.T. says:

Too bad Lupe hasn’t made a good song since 2007.

          1. M.A.T. says:

I know what your point was. My response is still the same. Based on the standards Lupe set with his previous work, his music is not as good as it once was.
