New Video: Joey Bada$$ x BJ The Chicago Kid “Like Me”

Don’t Shoot.

Inspired by the on going police brutality, Joey puts the issue on to the small screen. In the latest visual off his B4.Da.$$, an unarmed Joey takes one to the back by NYPD. Says Joey:

“We see him caught up in a situation over a girl. He’s accosted by a man with a gun, and even though he’s unarmed, he becomes a police target. In the video, the hot-headed guy, he gets killed by the police with a gun in his hand. And me, the cool guy, who is away from all the violence, I still end up being mixed in the loop—just being a victim because of my surroundings or where I’m from.”

DOPE video. Low-key, all of the combined elements were reminiscent of a combination of “Renee” by Lost Boyz and “Me & My Bitch” by Biggie, at least that’s where it took me. Nice.
