Overwhelmed by success, Drake returns to his old stomping grounds in this short film. The clip features various home movies and a snippet of a new track (13:54 mark). Word on road is that new music should be arriving any day now.

He was just showing you the 6 both present and past and how it has changed. If you notice he was talking with his Toronto accent, the old videos of him and his friends in toronto streets. The old construction of Toronto video. The skyline etc. The ballet dancer and boxer were probably some toronto young talent he wanted to put on the map. He also showed how it has changed from his perspective, now that he had achieved fame everything is different. the part in the club with red lights where he goes down and sees a woman and everything disappears, I think that is probably rihanna. And people are talking crap like he is now talking in a Jamaican accent.. Toronto is heavily influenced by jamaicans, there is even a video of rob ford talking in a fake Jamaican accent, the difference is that drake has an american accent with some Jamaican lingo mixed in it. Almost all black people in Toronto talk like that, I went to school there so I know. So it makes sense why drake also talks like that

I told you, I think his music for the most part is pretty dope, especially for mainstream hip hop. However, to say the dude has substance in his music for the most part would be a lie. I mean, compare his three albums. While obviously there are better and worse ones, there all the same really in terms if sound and content. You seem like a big fan, tell me the significant differences between the three in terms of themes? If the dude added a couple of storytelling tracks — and I mean slick rick style, not just name-dropping a problem he has with an uncle everyone and awhile — he would finally get that classic album he has been looking for.

I feel like each clip in this this short film will connect to songs on the tape. Each scene sets a different mood and tone. Hence the hardcore beat when he was with his boys and the reflective and missing girl look in the scene at the coffee shop.
Brilliant! Great mood, not a lot of words- but commands so much personality from Drake. His alienation from his home town and the subtle loneliness accentuate this isolated little world. Light touches like the car, and the down-to-earth conversations, make this a relatable and punchy short film.

Yes but let’s not deny a Drake song drops whether he’s featured on it or it’s his record we’re listening because he’s DRAKE.
