          3. ZORINO says:

I think you should call INS on Rapradar’s “Big Homie”. Dude needs to be deported back to Cambodia.

    2. Starpoint feat Renee Diggs says:

You being too kind, I know you know numbers don’t mean sh*t. Like a half million Black People ran out a cop that trash. We know what time it is.

  4. Troll The Duck says:

its over for you new rappers OVO

  5. i dont think drakes best doing it right now but gotta admit that boy has some serious hype

    1. TheTruthHurts says:

Haha the keyword here is hype, that’s the first phrase that comes to mind with Drake, not skill or lyrics or anything worth a damn to the culture.

      1. Music says:

because 4 consecutive projects, with the later being a mixtape doesn’t warrant the hype.

Of course drake has no skill. becoming an international artist, selling out arenas, and still selling albums when no one is buying albums is easy! Look at everyone else rapping!

Drake realized people would rather here some relatable shit than a triple entendre or every song is a metaphor. Where Lupe at?

        1. TheTruthHurts says:

Having hype behind you as your main adjective is not good haha, someday you won’t live up to it. Drake has skill but that’s not what he’s known for at all, again, not a good thing. Selling a bunch of albums to a bunch of females and some fags doesn’t impress me, these people are the lowest hanging fruit. Don’t forget this is the wheel chair kid from Degrassi or whatever, not someone that had to do a lot to start a career. You can make relatable music and still make consecutively good music to real people of the culture we are in haha, look into Hip Hop a bit…

          1. Music says:

Six years later and his 4th album hasn’t dropped. When is this someday going to happen?

          2. TheTruthHurts says:

That statement doesn’t really make sense… The first sentence especially. When will someday happen? Well for me he already isn’t nearly as good as the hype, just like Wayne before him. It happens at different times for different people. Come back with a real argument retard, and form full sentences.

  6. Mylo says:

I just want an explanation ok how this is s mixtape… Is cash money not profiting off of it or something?

    1. Sina Mailer Daemon Djavadkhani says:

Mixtape in 2015 means basically that it’s an album marketed to the fans , without a mainstream radio single or video.

      1. DRAG says:

so by that definition J.Cole’s Forest Hills 2014 was a mixtape ??

        1. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

zing! the lines are kinda blurred these days.

          1. THE REAL mac DIESEL says:

SAME “ZING” YOU FELT WHEN COLE SNUBBED YOU FOR AN INTERVIEW, RIGHT???

………….HA!!!! ANY LUCK WITH THAT, BENSON???

            DON’T HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!

        2. trin88 says:

felt like a mixtape rather than an album… born sinner was an album IMO… and nothing was the same was an album too

        3. yorapper says:

          No it was muzak

      2. Mylo says:

damn just changed the rules in 2015… honestly marketing is cheesy anyhow… music is so over-saturated the surprise element works…

        1. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

          only works for certain artists.

        2. marty mcfly says:

Marketing still matters thats why people a buy Drake’s shit but have a system full of free Curren$y songs that they religiously listen to a hundred times a year but the moment he asks them to buy something then people wanna act like they can’t support. Drake doesn’t need the marketing nowadays but the effectiveness of his marketing is still in effect. Either way people pick and choose who they wanna support but marketing still influences that choice.

      3. Cemal says:

It has nothing to do with the marketing. It is a mixtape, in the sense that those were throwaway tracks meant to build hype. That’s why they were out for free first. But by putting it on itunes and selling it, it became his 4th album for cash money, which means he is now a free agent and can leave. Look at the title. It’s aimed at birdman. It’s too late to keep him at cash money.

        1. Sina Mailer Daemon Djavadkhani says:

          Wow! Nice one!

  7. HOVITO says:

half a million sold from a mixtape … damn

and other major artist in the game can’t even get half a million streams on datpiff

    he’s gonna be a problem until 2030

    1. UbetterLaugh says:

tax return and all star weekend good timing by the marketing department… a few nice tracks its what the people wanted…..

    2. Guest says:

Only Way Drake can fall iff he change his lanes and he no longer can’t keep the momentum going Kanye is the only rapper that came 2004 that is still going so it ain’t easy be hot.

    3. yeah says:

Rich off a mixtape, got (more) rich off a mixtape

    4. winnin says:

niggas talk crazy about drake but that boy always delivers niggas (rappers) can’t sell a 100 000 drake mixtape 500 000 in less than a week

    5. Oz says:

Except for that….it’s not a mixtape in anyway-if you sell it , it’s an album

    6. ZoomZoomDad-Otis says:

G-UNit’s next album will do better. Don’t believe me, just watch.

  8. Sina Mailer Daemon Djavadkhani says:

Big numbers ! Is that more than his first album / first week ????

    1. jimj87 says:

yeah bigger than that … I think that was low 400k

  9. Baby of stan says:

No tellin’. No tellin’. Ain’t nooooo tellin’

  10. timbo0 says:

Love him or hate him but that is a seriously great accomplishment in this music flop era…
side note why can’t anyone let big sean shine lol

    1. jimj87 says:

I know its not a popular sentiment but I hope drizzy does get a milli first week for his album (views from the 6) … its a dying industry and not many urban aritsts can get that look.. wayne and 50 numbers

      1. Sean Power says:

if wants milli 1st week telll to joint album with Taylor swift

      2. Mylo says:

wayne could still do 250k with the right single… and gold with an surprise album with a baby diss song.

        1. Wale droppin soon. How much did you say hes gonna sell first week?

          1. Mylo says:

25-50k and if he does a suprise LP he doing gunit BOI numbers…

          2. OgSnowflake187 says:

            45k tops

      3. Green Atlas says:

        I LOL’d @ “urban artist”

        1. Starpoint feat Renee Diggs says:

Yeah, i thought that was funny too.

    2. matt says:

because big sean is a fuckin grade A cornball

  11. Ced says:

Probably would’ve sold a milli if he dropped it earlier in the week.

  12. Frank Kennedy says:

Meanwhile Wayne can’t even do these numbers as a free download on datpiff.. Even with Drake throwing him singles

    1. Donowitz says:

Uhh wayne did though for sorry 4 the wait 2 so that’s false. Drake did this tape to sign to wayne and wayne is getting money for used to. Drake and wayne are the greatest

      1. Frank Kennedy says:

Damn didn’t mean to offend bruh bruh… All hail Wayne… Yeah…

      2. Gordon says:

Sorry for the Wait 2 only has 732,000 downloads on Datpiff, with it being free and all that’s kind sad.

        1. @My.Life.Is.Da.Shit says:

You do know that datpiff isn’t the only site that you can download free mixtapes on don’t you? If you could track the actual number from all the sites I’m sure it’s in the millions. Have a seat and hold this L

        2. Michael Ib bett says:

The average consumer that bought the carter 3 has no idea what datpiff is. That’s why their “platinum” measurement is lower than actual sales….not really sad whatsoever.

    2. cannon says:

its because of wayne that datpiff even exist and that is a fact. plus if wayne came out the same way he did today, im certain it would be double the numbers drizzy got.

  13. TimeChange says:

Baby sitting back still cashing in, Not a good look for wayne,

  14. Barcelona Boy_ says:

    #LightSkinNiggazStayWinning

Move over Ye, Jay, Wayne… Its DRIZZY season for the next decade

  15. debo says:

it’s not even a week yet

  16. el jim chapo guzman says:

    drake album sells is decreasing.

    1. Mylo says:

let these niggaz tell it its a mixtape…

      1. el jim chapo guzman says:

        it’s not a album.

    2. el typo says:

What do you mean his album SALES are decreasing? Didn’t he just sell 500k units in just 3 days?

      1. el jim chapo guzman says:

        It’s a mixtape.

  17. Mylo says:

first ever rap slap victim to go gold… this boy is a problem

    1. RapGod says:

Puffy a bitch to he was mad the nigga stole a beat and puff cant even rap haha

      1. Mylo says:

Ijs it was a time in hiphop where he would have been jaruled…

  18. Green Atlas says:

On second thought, though I respect Drake’s dedication to excellence. I don’t appreciate what appears to be a backstabbing streak and a propensity for stealing the creativity of others.

Shout out to his producers, though. #youtherealmvp

      1. Green Atlas says:

Still Rack City over errthang, bitch.

  19. Da Business says:

Can’t even be mad @ the kid. Not bad for a bunch of throwaway tracks. As much as I rock w/ Kendrick & Cole, u can’t deny Drake. Dude is Jay-Z of this era.

    1. James Dean says:

Drake has no classic album, Jay already had 2 by the time he hit his third album.

      1. BEE says:

agreed, but the key phrase is “of this era”

        1. James Dean says:

Drake hasnt even achieved what Jay achieved by the time he was on his 4th album. The comparisons dont make sense.

          1. Da Business says:

C’mon my dude, u can’t be serious… Jay didn’t even start getting played outside of

          2. James Dean says:

No Vol.2 is his third album bro. And Hard Knock life went 5x platinum. Drake aint putting up numbers like that on an album, most he’s ever done is 2.

          3. Da Business says:

I counted “Streets Is Watching” as a Jay lp as well. He was on like 90% of the songs on that album. And to ur 2nd point, it’s 2015. Aubrey’s 2 mill is equivalent to Jay’s 5 in the late 90’s.

          4. James Dean says:

Im sorry but no its not, 2 & 5 mill dont even add up to the same lol. Em, Pac, Big, Jay, Kanye, 50 & Outkast are on that highest selling hiphop albums of all time list for a reason.

          5. Da Business says:

            James, u’re wildin’ B. U

          6. James Dean says:

Uhhh no its simple math bro lol. 5 million albums sold is 5 million albums sold no matter what decade it is. Drake will never touch 5 million on one album ever. Most he will do is 2 just as long as cashmoney aint buying albums for him.

          7. Da Business says:

            I see that there is no reasoning w/ u. I’m done…

          8. James Dean says:

Jay’s 4th album is Life and Times vol.3.

          9. VJay213 says:

            You underestimated greatly
Most number ones ever, how long did it really take me?

      2. Da Business says:

Stop it, B. Hate it or love it, “Take Care” is a modern day classic and “NWTS” is damn near flawless. That’s like saying that L Boogie’s 1st joint isn’t a HIP HOP classic bcuz she sings on the lp.

And for the record, Jay didn’t have his 2nd classic until “BP”.

        1. TheTruthHurts says:

I agree that Jay didn’t have a 2nd classic until Blueprint but Take Care is a modern day classic? Now i know for sure classic is getting tossed around too much.. I don’t know what planet you live on where that or any of Drakes albums are classics. Dude absolutely has some good songs, no classic albums though, maybe not even any classic songs. Forever maybe? Or the Motto? But that’s a stretch to me.

          1. Da Business says:

We’ll just agree to disagree, my G. 1 thing is for sure tho, Drake is winning right now and it doesn’t seem like his movement is going to die down anytime soon.

          2. TheTruthHurts says:

True, he definitely isn’t losing at this point.

          3. aikens todd says:

Yall niggas are bugging for even comparing Drakes catalog to early Hov material. Drake has ZERO classics. His shit is selling the way it is because of the chicks. Heads is not talking about his material the way Jays early material is talked about. All of this he sold such and such amount of units in a couple of days……. So the fuck what, who cares. All that proves is that he’s popular thats it. Is the nigga putting out classic material with instant quotables is what should be talked about. As long as he’s singing to the birds he’s gonna put up numbers.

          4. static says:

Chicks run it though. We have half the money and all the p*ssy. Drake can show you better than I can tell you though.

          5. aikens todd says:

What does your comment have to do with Drake supposedly putting out classic material. As I said in my initial comment numbers dont really impress me its about the music and I’m a HIP HOP head and I check for lyrics and tracks. All that singing shit is not my cup of tea.

          6. Da Business says:

Keep telling urself that, my dude. Bottom line, if n!99@$ wasn’t fucking w/ Drake, he’d be out of the game already. I agree that the females have a lot to do w/ his success but, if his peers didn’t respect him, it’d be deuces for the boi.

          7. aikens todd says:

Never said the kid was wack I just said he doesn’t have classic material. To compare him to Hov is asinine. Lyrically he’s not on Coles or Kendricks level imo.

          8. Da Business says:

Don’t get me wrong, I’m pro Kendrick and Cole all day. Drake having a classic is subjective, I’ll give u that. I feel that he has 1 but, that’s my opinion. The fact of the matter is that Drake is sitting on the throne right now. He is the most consistent dude in the game. Jay was the last dude to do it like this.

          9. Dat Nigga Conker says:

jay-z is over rated and boring as fuck i can never get into his music in that era of hiphop eminem and g-unit were the ones to me that made better music

          10. aikens todd says:

That overrated shit kills me. Jay been in the game since 89 and can still drop a verse in 2014 “Seen it all” that 95% of the newer emcees won’t ever be able to fuck with. Overrated? I think not more like under appreciated from the haters.

        2. James Dean says:

Nobody claims those to be classics. NWTS isnt even in a topic in anyones discussions as classic. Take Care had hit records on it but thats it. Drake hasnt had a fluid body of work since so far gone where theres no skippers. Drake has better loosies (singles that never made albums) that are harder than alot of whats on his discography.

          1. david says:

I consider Take Care an immediate classic and NWTS belongs in the discussion and don’t come at me with that “real” hip-hop shit because I believe Rakim, Nas, Atmosphere, Del, Pac, Biggie, Ghostface, Killer Mike and many other founding rap innovators and underground emcees have established classics too. I’m 30 years old and have been listening intently to the genre for 22 years. Drake has a strong relationship with his artistic identity and he makes great, expansive and cohesive thematic albums. Go somewhere else with that.

        3. James Dean says:

By the way Hard Knock Life is a classic fam thats his second classic, third being BP1, 4th being Black Album & my wild card choice because to me this is the closest to a Reasonable Doubt 2 is American Gangsta.

          1. Da Business says:

Let’s keep it funky, my G. If u had to pick only 4 Jay joints to live w/, not even 1 of the “In My Lifetime” lps would make the cut.

My overall point was that Drake is the closest thing to Jay in this era. Hate if u want but, u can’t deny his chokehold on the game.

          2. Mylo says:

Hard knock life has several skip able songs…

        4. pickaname1 says:

Agree. Take Care will definitely be considered a classic. It´s Drakes best body of work.

          1. Smit34 says:

So far gone is his best body of work take care is his best album

        5. JetVet718 says:

You gotta give a album at least 5 years to call it a classic IMO. People these days always in a rush to call something classic.

          1. Rena says:

Exactly. Very few classics were recognized as such the year they were released. The longevity of the records plus the reaction to those records overtime have a lot to do with it.

          2. Da Business says:

            Agreed but there are exceptions.

          3. Da Business says:

I feel u but, they’re some lps that dropped and u know right away that it’s a classic. GKMC was the last joint that did that.

      3. peace god says:

In My Lifetime Vol. 1 is no classic. “The City is Mine” is questionable at best.

        1. James Dean says:

Thats why I said his third album which would be Hard Knock Life which is a classic. Reasonable Doubt then Hardknock and then his last two classics would be Blueprint and Black Album. American Gangsta as a Wild card.

        2. Mr. white says:

WAIT WHAT? He murdered the city is mine

  20. kudahfee says:

Dam drake doing big numbers salute to him nigga doing numbers off mixtapes smh.

Imagine what type of numbers his actual album will do he may break 50 record easily if it hasn’t happened already.

  21. HATE HIM OR LOVE HIM SON IS DOING HIS THING YOU KNOW YOU POPPIN WHEN YOU SELL HALF A MILLION OFF A MIXTAPE A MIXTAPE I GUEST LIGHT SKIN NIGGAS DID MAKE A COME BACK

  22. jaja420 says:

    He just can’t lose lmfao

  23. kudahfee says:

I downloaded this shit for free off jankmixtapes app a hr after it came out smh. The average relevant rapper can put out a mixtape right now & the shit won’t even reach 200 thousand downloads on datpiff in a week. Dude got the game in a choke hold right.

  24. sam says:

Wow those numbers for 3days not even a week. Incredible give him the credit mane, dope for mixtape/throw away/album

  25. jussayin says:

Even mac diesel cant hate on the numbers……either that or he violated his probation

    1. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

that dipshit is on a dial up connection.

            DON’T HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!

  26. ygg says:

Besides Ricky Ross Aubrey the biggest boss here

  27. Michael Ib bett says:

He just generated $7,035,189.15 in 3 days, all digitally, off of what is assumed to be cutting room floor tracks.

    1. yorapper says:

Too bad he wont see a cent of it. Birdman buying dinosaur eggs with Drake’s money.

      1. Michael Ib bett says:

        Trickle UP economics lol

  28. ZoomZoomDad-Otis says:

G-Unit’s next EP will move more units than this. Don’t believe me? Just watch.
If you believe you gotta chew a dick.

    1. Selorm Amuzu says:

      HA !!!!!!!

  29. The Rock says says:

This is definitely an album but if he wants to call it a mixtape I’ll call it a mixtape haha, Views from the 6 goin plat in a week

  30. PIEGELIFE says:

Yall acting you never seen this before like T.I. Wasn’t putting up these same type numbers

    1. Da Business says:

In 2day’s game tho, that’s impressive.

    2. ThaRealHater says:

He wasnt. EVER. He sold. But not like Drake. Theres always a nigga like u mad and wont let a nigga have his moment. Gold mixtape and your favorite rapper cant sell ice water in hell and thats why u mad.

      1. PIEGELIFE says:

I don’t think anybodys mad homie just giving you kids a history lesson

    3. Mylo says:

When TI was doing big #s lil John wAs going 2x platinum.

      1. PIEGELIFE says:

I guess you right seeing that he did it over ten years straight

  31. Darnell Thoms says:

I thought the mixtape was terrible … I saw no growth in the artist … when did Drake turn in to the madd lightskin tough guy? I mean I like about 4 songs other than that it wasn’t good to me

    1. ThaRealHater says:

Thats why youre not important in hip hop.

      1. Darnell Thoms says:

Yeah … I am just a person who has listened to hip hop since the 80’s and just a consumer just like you.. If you felt it was great and you enjoyed good for you man .. And I use my Real Name because even though I am not important in Hip hop I am important in a whole line of other things (in real life) .. So you can have the moniker Therealhater and be important on this site.. You got the juice…

  32. who dat nigga says:

Man fuck drake that bitch ass jew stay winning lol!!!

  33. Haters listen it is okay you hate Drake he is the worst thing that happen to hip hop but you have to admit that nigga is the one, He is the most hater rapper in the game yet can’t be dethrone yet. Keep trying.

  34. That Aubrey reign just won’t let up

  35. realish says:

i dont.understand how u guys put some.of.these new artists in front of kanye jayz nas 50 wayne ross. cole drake k.lamar is on the way for the future but they dont have 7 8 albums in there body of work is little

  36. Just Mike says:

If Drake never sang and was strictly Hip Hop Jay Z would’ve been forced to retire a few years ago.

  37. yorapper says:

Drake sold more on a suprise mixtape than Cole’s fully realized album? Hahahahahahhahhahahahahah

    1. Michael Ib bett says:

Drake is a bigger, more popular rapper. Noone disputes that. Lol. I don’t see the humor

  38. EH says:

    541,000 females bought it

  39. CL says:

Dudes forget that Drake can really really rap. If dude was on his 6 PM in New York flow everytime out, it wouldn’t be as special. Versatility is needed. If he wants to do an R&B album, he can. Dude is at the level where he can do whatever and still make good material.

  40. LēTeck says:

Baby waaay up he feels blessed

  41. Adam Arsenal says:

He’s gonna be close to a mill when ‘Views From the 6’ drops. Unbelievable achievement to shift that many

  42. Real Nigga Rep says:

Let’s be real here I accept Drake is a talented dude but his buzz or hype has declined wit some hip hop fans, wit that said his frame for 1st week is 400-680 for all this projects to date. Now King Kendrick will do 1 mill 1st week wit his second classic. Let’s be real.

    1. Da Business says:

      Stop it…

As much as I champion Kendrick, my n!99@ is not out selling Aubrey.

      #facts

      1. Real Nigga Rep says:

Lol ok it seems like a tall task now but let’s not forget that even Taylor Swift fans luv K.Dot ur boi myt surprise u, there are not facts in this case, only time will tell that new classic is on its way. I feel like even if dude falls short of a mill he’ll do 800 easy

        1. Da Business says:

I hope that u’re right but, it’s not likely.

  43. dodo says:

THIS DUDE IS MOVING UNITS. CANT HATE. MUCH RESPECT.

  44. cannon says:

still wanna hear a straight rap album by drake, maybe sing on the hook but thats it. that would be dope. this album is still dope tho.

  45. OgSnowflake187 says:

Aubrey is a problemmmm they were givin fab red carpet treatment for his 76,000….550,000 is just disgusting ahah …..drakes still the type of nigha that strangles his lobster with dental floss before boiling so they don’t have to suffer the first 3 seconds….

  46. TheTruthHurts says:

Definitely a big accomplishment nowadays but album sales don’t impress me at all. Clearly dropping an album the day it’s released is the way to get the most people to buy your album, Drake just used a marketing scheme most should have jumped on before and is a big enough mainstream artist that it splashed bigger than the first time when B did it. I guarantee the next time a big name artist drops an album the day they announce it it sells around this much. If you want you’re rappers to act like females, listen to and pay attention to Drake. Drakes for the bitch niggas and that’s why he’s so popular, we are surrounded by these fake people.

  47. Dr. Tre says:

That’s what happens when u got females desperate to cop your shit too. Sean’s album won’t do these numbers which is a shame bc it’s his best work to date

  48. Kiddo says:

drizzy.. SURPRISE us man. every song sounds like the others. nothing new and innovative..
    nah thanks
