  3. MadShot says:

Big Sean kinda stepped his game up. Well, given the wack level he had, it wasnt much difficult.

  4. b1g daddy coonie says:

Lemme say my opinion real quick even tho y’all ain’t gonna agree; Big Sean’s new album was not that good in terms of GOOD Music releases and in terms of what we’ve heard before and in terms of what I think the popular rap world expected. I thought since he would have Kanye guiding him unlike he did for HOF it would be fire, but nahh the beats all sound so similar… where is his personality at… The outro was fire doe, DJ Dahi does it again w the beat damn… lyrics weren’t bad but you can’t really feel a lot of heart or soul in the album… just compare it to Cole’s Forrest Hills Drive if u wanna see what i’m sayin

    1. TylerFree says:

I disagree it is his best album, Big Sean snapped on every track compare to HOF it is a step above. 2014FHD is way better in my opinion because again J.Cole is a much better rapper.

    2. The Rock says says:

Better than Forest Hills Drive, no question

      1. TylerFree says:

Hell No 2014FHD shit on Dark Sky

        1. The Rock says says:

          Y’all trollin or biased

          1. TylerFree says:

Trolling U kidding me, outside of Rap Radar no one will say Dark Paradise is better than 2014FHD. J.Cole is lyrically way better than Sean.

          2. b1g daddy coonie says:

I agree with dude, FHD was a work of art nigga… Cole filled it with his soul and life and lyrics… anybody coulda done Dark Sky, any bruh coulda cracked those punchlines and rocked em beats, it just doesn’t stand out

          3. The Rock says says:

I feel comfortable saying if u didn’t know who these artist were u would think the guy who made dark sky was better than the guy who made forest hills

          4. Kev says:

Big Sean sound like a battle rapper tryna make an album. I don’t even consider 2014 a hip hop album considering there’s more singing than actual rapping, but it’s definitely a more cohesive project than dark sky. If you wanna compare em like they’re both Hip hop albums tho, then of course dark sky sounds better. But we can all agree that Cole would take Sean to school lyrically.

          5. Kev says:

And by battle rapper tryna make an album, I mean he’s got bars but that’s it. There’s little to no direction, no personality, and he just sounds like he’s rapping to rap so he can remain a star. Very little artistry, and it feels very formulaic.

          6. The Rock says says:

More singing than actual rapping from a guy who cant sing, I was predicting this to be a classic nd he let the rock down

          7. Kev says:

Exactly. This guy just can’t sing but he still snapped on his rap verse for Apparently. Drake got all these rappers tryna sing now.

I feel like J. Cole will still drop a classic later down his career. He’s got the most potential out of the top 3 right now (Cole, Kendrick Drake) but he lacks the confidence and hunger that Drake and Kendrick (Esp Kendrick, he been rapping like he hasn’t seen groceries in a minute) got.

          8. b1g uncle snoop says:

Fam I agree with everything u sayin u know wassup, except Forrest Hills Drive was really really good bruh… the little bars he did spit were hot, and he actually has personality, meaning, and soul behind his songs, even if he sings which btw I dont even mind cuz his singing has a nice sound to it.

          9. TylerFree says:

Dude act like 2014FHD is song bull shit, I mean cole was spitting shit was way better than Born Sinner.

      2. mikey the greek! fk u bama's! says:

        knock it off!!! foh bama

      3. Kev says:

Cole has been the biggest waste of potential I’ve seen after Jay Elect. The Warm Up showed me his potential to be someone who goes out a legend in lyricism. FNL was great too, but his albums have been underwhelming. But Cole still shows some glimpses of his potential with tracks like Revenge of the Dreamers (track, not mixtape), and most of the stuff from the Truly Yours EPs. 2014 was was his best album, and it was good from an artistic perspective. But why is this nigga singing for 75% of the album, when we all know he’s capable of some fire bars. He’s definitely lyrically better than Drake but he seems like he wants to live in his shadow. I can say the same about Big KRIT. Amazing mixtapes, but underwhelming albums that just don’t reflect their potential.

        1. The Rock says says:

The Truly Yours songs are his best material, his best album is Born Sinner nd even that is just pretty good

          1. GetReal says:

youre trippin FHD shits on boring ass born sinner

          2. Kev says:

I agree. He bitches too much throughout Born Sinner. It wasn’t a great album at all but it still had a couple gems like Rich Niggaz. Power Trip is still his best radio single.

    3. cmonhomiewemajor says:

its not a Be or MBDTF or Get Lifted or MNIMN….but in terms of the new class of rappers, Sean is doing his thing

and for a guy who makes radio hits, i gotta respect the fact that he still cares about wordplay

    4. Kev says:

The Outro was actually some Nipsey beat from Crenshaw. You’re definitely right on everything tho. There definitely isn’t that Big Sean swagger on this album (except for Paradise and the Outro) that we’ve seen from Finally Famous the Album and before. Just another example of “… Everything is sounding like Drake featuring Drake”. Big Sean is gonna go out as another Fabulous, just radio singles and mixtapes.

  5. TylerFree says:

Big Sean album is dope, his best one to date.

    1. Jay says:

It’s pretty good but being his best one to date isn’t saying much with his discography lol.

      1. TylerFree says:

That is why I said it. His first album was trash HOF was average.

        1. Kev says:

His first album was all over the place but the high points (So Much More, 100 Keys, My House, etc) were much better than his other albums. It had those radio singles too.

          1. TylerFree says:

He had two songs I like the one with lupe and Kanye featured on it.

    2. yorapper says:

I feel like Big Sean is like Samsung and Drake is like Apple. Big Sean does well and people like his stuff, but he just has no clue what he’s doing.

      1. TylerFree says:

Agreed, Big Sean is not my cup of tea but this album really show growth.

  6. HOVITO says:

S/O to sean but that album was barely listenable … his flow is dope for about 3 songs but anything more than that nah

    1. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

      barely listenable? com’on

    2. cmonhomiewemajor says:

nah chill…only weak songs were the ones with jhene and wayne

      1. GetReal says:

wayne had best verse on that album

        1. daman says:

wayne & jhene both killed their verse, str8 up!

  7. Birdboy aka Young Givenchy says:

    Big Sean is wack.

    1. Bkmkj says:

      Ya life is wacc…

  8. el jim chapo guzman says:

I feel blessed cause I don’t see these gay ass rapradar bloggers when I go home.

    1. mikey the greek! fk u bama's! says:

NO YOU SEE YOUR TRANNY LOVER WHEN YOU GET HOME YOU FKN BAMA…FK YO FEELINGS YOU FKN GAY COWBOY!!!

      1. el jim chapo guzman says:

Eat a homo thug…fuck your feelings bama.

  9. Jay says:

Dark Sky Paradise’s highs are really great but the lows are pretty bad. It evens out overall but he needs more consistency.

  10. TylerFree says:

Numbers came back Big Sean 135,577 sales well damn I thought it was going to do 80k. Congrats.

  11. Da Business says:

I fux w/ Sean. After sitting w/ the Lp for a week, I’d say that it’s a dope record, his best yet. I just don’t think that it’s strong enough to get him in the conversation of the top tier emcees doing it now. Drake, Cole, and Kendrick r miles ahead of the bunch.

Sean is a beast and tho most n!99@$ sleep on the kid, he can out bar, and out wit both Drake and Cole. Dude’s word play is incredible, not to mention that the flow is dope. It might just be me but, he can’t seem to carry a whole lp by himself. He relies to much on features and I feel like it’s holding him back. He has a lot of potential tho.

    1. b1g uncle snoop says:

I been fuckin w Sean since he signed to GOOD, but I feel like he didn’t even pick the beats if i’m honest, it didn’t even feel like a “Big Sean” album in the sense that, anybody could have made this album, it doesn’t stand out as a personal statement or anecdote or even a career best… he doesn’t really even let us know what being Big Sean really means… is it just some Kanye features? A catchy Jhene Aiko hook? Idk what dude even wanted to accomplish w this record… not sayin it’s bad tho, it’s got some car bangers and what not, and outro was sick, but it’s gettin too much hype for what it is

      1. Kev says:

Cosigned everything in this statement. LP was meh, but definitely overhyped, and definitely not Sean Don. Just another example of “. .. everything starting to sound like Drake featuring Drake”

    2. Kev says:

His best album, but that’s not saying much. Finally Famous 3 and Detroit were way better projects. Big Sean is the new school Jadakiss. Slays features but can’t hold an entire LP himself.

  12. Bklyn Gawd says:

Detroit is the best body of work Big Sean has done to date…too bad he gave that gem away for free.

  13. D@M@N says:

my nigga sean doing his thang, dope!

  14. Hussle says:

Whatever Drake touches…turns into a HIT

  15. Miles says:

Detroit will always be his best project.

    1. Kev says:

I’d say Finally Famous 3. Detroit definitely a second tho.

  16. Sina Mailer Daemon Djavadkhani says:

    Solid visual!

  17. yorapper says:

    Drake hired Joe Budden’s stylist?

  18. GRANDPA SHUTCHO MOUF says:
