      1. Guest says:

Thanks for the ignorant comment ya racist bastard!

      2. tipp0183 says:

its not racist, im black. When i say nigger im talking about the ignorant behavior.

    5. Guest says:

Congrats to Cole but that still doesn’t explain the non-sensical G.O.M.D. race baiting video? I really liked this album but that video made no sense when taking the lyrics in consideration???? Tired of the “poor me” attitude with the black community! “I didn’t get the job? It’s because I’m black! I got pulled over? It’s because I’m black! I didn’t (insert literally anything) oh it’s because I’m black!” Stop with blame game bullshit! And nothing anybody on this site can say to sway my opinion, I see it every day! What are you doing to change???!??! Maybe it’s you!!! TIME TO STOP BLAMING THIS GENERATION FOR SOMETHING THAT NONE OF Y’ALL EXPERIENCED AND BY EXPERIENCED I MEAN SLAVERY!! SHIT HAPPENED WAY BEFORE OUR TIME!!! LET IT GO ALREADY! THE JEWS AIN’T WALKING AROUND BLAMING GERMANS FOR THEIR PROBLEMS EVERYDAY??!??!

      1. GetReal says:

the lyrics did make sense, hes ridiculed for not being black enough and not being white enough so he tells everyone to get off his dick

        1. Guest says:

He could’ve went about it in a million other ways!!! Let’s be honest!! Unnecessary!

        2. Guest says:

For real!!! It’ll be 3001 and people will STILL be blaming white people for all their problems!! Like I said the Jews experienced HORRIFIC GENOCIDE and do you see them blaming the Germans for their problems? NO! Their are so many examples of this it’s crazy!! I mean this shit from the heart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EX: A black man or woman speaks intelligently “Oh you sound white!!” WTF?!??!? Naw m’fucker you sound INTELLIGENT!!! YOU’RE EDUCATED BE PROUD!! Stop “hating” and be happy for one another! White people didn’t even come up with the terms “hating” or “twerking” or “popping molly” etc! And y’all know what I mean! It’s all negativity! Think about it. And most of rap music today is STILL promoting coon shit (throwing money around, drug dealing, gang banging I mean list goes ON) Put it like this rock bands aren’t doing drive-by’s on each other! Making records about selling bricks all day or how much they’re balling at the mall?! Ignorant shit! Think about y’all. We are setting ourselves for a quick buck and 15 mins of fame! Take this how you want. I know in my heart that we are better than this!

          1. marty mcfly says:

Compare the holocaust to slavery, the lynch mob and minstrel show era, Jim Crow and the civil rights era and several different aspects of systemic oppression politically, culturally, racially, economically etc.. You taking about a HORRIBLE GENOCIDE? Multiple what happen to the jews about 100x times and then you’ll get to the tip of the ice berg of black history in this country. You just speak on the drug dealing thugs doing drive bys but what about the black people who don’t do all that negative shit? Whites have done all that gangsta shit too but they did it before your generation so you can’t picture that yes whites also had gangs and also did crime at times in america. When the Irish and the Italians and the police came over here and also faced some of he same circumstances that black people have been facing for generations… They also formed gangs, other crime organizations and sold drugs as well. Alot of them later became part of the system itself because they are white as well when it comes down to it. Yes its true that black people don’t need to blame other people that have nothing to do with them for their problems… However depending on who your talking to and what they know and their experiences, they may be able to show you that yeah indeed there is forces that historically (historically meaning systematically have been place for generations including this one), that have worked against black people to purposely oppress them. Thats just an american fact.

          2. Guest says:

That’s what’s up! Here’s another example: A white person or persons wants to sincerely show support (because they genuinely care for all races no matter the color) and help make a difference in this world we currently live in for people of different race (i.e. African Americans) and 95% of the time they’re hit with “What would you know about this? FOH whiteboy/girl!” and they’re immediately chastised for wanting help make a difference as if the black community doesn’t want to move forward so they feel like “well how do I approach this then? I want help make a difference but I’m not accepted?! Double standard! They’d rather keep it separate. Azalea Banks for instance, this chick blames white people for everything?!?! White people can’t enjoy and be influenced by Hip Hop/ Black culture? If they do they’re labeled “culture vultures” (with the exception of the Beastie Boys because Eminem still gets hated on because of skin color) and let’s leave Iggy out of this because that chick is lost! But yet here she is spreading for Playboy which is the same shit she’s screaming on??????? I know you’ve seen this before! I see reverse racism every single day in the city as well! It’s no different sometimes! It goes both ways! Here’s another example: BET “black entertainment television” just imagine if white people did this?! W.E.T.?! Sheeeeeeiiitt! Imagine the uproar! I feel there’s so much special treatment for every other race while innocent kind loving white people are backed up against the wall?! We pick on white people so much that the even approach the situation any longer! Look at Macklemore, is he a clown? Sure, but he made amazing points on Ebro In the Morning regarding his success and skin color yet people still ripped him for it?! What is left to do??!?! And the government isn’t all white people? People speak on the government/ corporations etc like it’s only white people? Where are my African Americans with aspirations rather than hatred and complacency? Get that degree and get in office and help us instead of saying “fuck it” as if it’s unattainable! Like this Chris Rock situation, he’s gotten pulled over a few times in a couple of weeks, must be his skin color every time? Not necessarily? Maybe ol’ boy was speeding, made an illegal turn? Nobody thinks about that? Must be because he’s black? White people in the city get the same treatment but it’s not being reported and even it was , nobody would care because of their skin color! Ex: African American gets pulled for standard traffic stop, immediately posts it on social media as if it’s hate crime because the cop was white? What?! There are cops of ALL race people! We are capable of so much more than this and here we are in 2015 and shit is seems worse than ever before! Why not start acknowledging the white people who do care rather than labeling them the white devil. It’s frustrating seeing African Americans blaming others all the while setting themselves back with their own behavior! It’s a double standard. I love this country and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF Y’ALL whether black purple white brown etc (Lol except for crazy people) I really appreciate you for this conversation! I could go on forever but ….

          3. marty mcfly says:

To your first question and for an example… When I say I have a problem with the justice system locking people up for a decade plus for low level crimes… I aint just talking black people, I’m also talking about the poor white kid from middle america who’s neighborhood was patrolled by police and then he was caught selling a bag of meth and was locked up for years for it… The damage that kinda system can do to a person’s life is what I have a problem with. Its not that I’m just expressing my feelings on all things black. Now being a black man, I may not get no kinda appreciation for having some compassion for a poor white kids life but that doesn’t change the way I feel about the situation at the core in regards to a system that so easily just locks people up. As far as Azelea Banks and her opinion goes? She was talking about how whites have been culture vultures. Now from her perspective she watched Igga “Azalea” come out with her name and making the same kinda shit she was… but her larger point is what it is. Culturally alot of shit can be traced back to black culture and that goes for music and even further back to ancient Egypt with Greeks and Romans coming in to learn the foundational alphabet and number system, let alone the Gods, politics, social practices etc… So Azelea Banks is telling the truth based upon historical facts. As far as Eminem goes, he had alot of support from black people when he was underground and Proof and Sway would tell you that. As far as “reverse racism”? Black people have reasons to feel some type of way about white people in general and here’s why. When you say somebody is “racist”? That means they fall under the category of “racism” and “racism” in america was established by white people. Blacks were the victims of “racism” not the people practicing it so generations later if black people in general feel some type of way about white people in general then that would make sense based on historical context. As far as BET the network goes, you said imagine if whites had “W.E.T”? but they did because for the first generation of the Tv every station was white entertainment, blacks were not allowed on Tv unless it was to watch a minstrel show making fun of black people. You say whites get picked on for being white? Well historically that really aint the case, you have isolated situations but for black people? Its the whole collective that was picked on for centuries and generations. You say blacks need to be more involved in corporations? Ok well black people are only on our 2nd and 3rd generation of even having a chance to work in the same places white people do. Economically white people have centuries of a head start and even that money came from slave labor. I could go on as well but there is two sides to this coin here.

          4. Guest says:

Very good points! Appreciate you, stay up!

          5. marty mcfly says:

Furthermore look at the top rappers today… Drake, Kendrick, J Cole, Big Sean, Kanye, etc.. These guys are not promoting drug dealing and gang banging but of course the common notion (lol Common) will just be yeah they are cause their rappers

          6. Guest says:

And boy do I appreciate these guys! And I thought I made that exception? They are at the forefront of the paradigm shift for a better Hip Hop image! I mean K Dot’s new album kind of alienates a bit with the all pro blackness, I mean white people have to feel left out on this album! Imagine a black man pulling up alongside a white kid playing TPAB just vibing hard! Lol, you know dude would be like, look at this silly whiteboy?! Ugh my fingers are tired, you get the point. Stay up!

          7. marty mcfly says:

If white people in 2015 are gonna feel uncomfortable about the TPAB album? You can imagine how black people have felt for generations in a country thats foundation is built upon enslaving and oppressing black people and based on the hatred of our skin and culture itself. That has been alot more uncomfortable then the TPAB album. Next time you hear an ice cream truck go by understand that its theme music is a song called Nigger Love A Watermelon Ha Ha Ha written by Harry C Browne in 1916 and that song came from the minstrel show era which was a time when thousands of songs and albums were released by white people expressing their hatred for black people.

      2. marty mcfly says:

There are black people today have experienced slavery though. Obama had to pass the Fair Sentencing Act in 2010 and several other fights are still going on to stop black people from getting 10 to 20 year mandatory sentences for non violent low level crimes. That is slavery based upon the mechanics of how that kinda system traps, tags and then locks up people for government money, private prison funding and an institutionalized labor force. So indeed people from THIS GENERATION have experienced slavery. YES the Jews that were holocaust survivors do blame the Germans for their problems (historically) and in many ways they have been left alone and able to repair themselves due to a number of different things including funding from banks for their own businesses. When black people started their own banking system a couple generations ago, white people flew over in plane and dropped dynamite on several black business and then went in and killed several black people. Since then no major bank wants to really support any black business. Now if somebody is blaming every random white person for some shit that didn’t even happen to him thats one thing. If somebody black who’s involved in politics and sees the actual white people that have been manipulating the system for generations and has direct involvement with these kinda people who have had their hands in the justice system, the drug business, the economic system etc… and have been doing shit in the interest of white supremacy and has been involved in deliberately keeping the black community down (which the FBI has admitted to doing in the past and the CIA doesn’t deny) and that black person blames these specific people and forces and they happen to be white? Then its not just blaming, its some actual history there that shows the complaint is valid. I don’t think any intelligent black person is blaming the white guy who you see at the neighborhood park playing basketball for systematically oppressing black people. There is politics and history involved when any intelligent black person points “blame” at a system that historically has proven its hatred for black people and YES even TODAY on Capital Hill in DC there are people that actually help create laws and other circumstances in america that make things harder for black people and other minorities.

        1. Guest says:

Valid point! I appreciate real conversation! Salute.

          1. marty mcfly says:

Cool. I don’t support anybody just blaming anybody for anything but if someone has an authentic reason to blame a specific person or institution for a specific problem then they should be heard if they feel they were treated unjustly.

      3. Aldo BangBANG says:

you wouldn’t have preferred a regular ass video about strippers, or him riding around in a car, or inside a club; so be thankful for what u got – a 12 years a slave run down.

      4. Gerami Brown says:

It was more about the dysfunction between african americans and the differences between skin tones. Because he was a lighter tone and a “house nigga”, the darker toned blacks shunned him when in the end, cole was plottin the whole time trying to help them all out. Thats the deeper meaning behind it, not so much the slavery itself. In the black community there’s always some nonsensical “level” when it comes to skin tone. He’s just trying to say that in the end we’re all in this together.

      5. G code says:

Blacks don’t have me poor me you dumb fuck, how about the system of white supremacy that was created in 1492 when whites colonized the world. Smh you’re either a fake smart racist devil or a Uncle Tom, and which one.

      6. Diemenz says:

The issue with the video is it was an idea for a track he had for the last album chaining day, but they didn’t go forth with the video but Cole like the idea so much he did not want to waste it.. So they used it for this song

  10. Mr.Stealyogurl says:

If I was Rick Ross Id shoot myself OH WAIT I don’t have a gun

    1. el jim chapo guzman says:

Lol lol lol that was a good one.

  11. PREMERE says:

Death to the imposters label me the king my dreams could win oscars my niggas turned mobsters…….

  12. el jim chapo guzman says:

    Finally.

  13. Gunplay's Coke Addiction says:

    Rick Ross lost.

  14. marty mcfly says:

For people talking shit about Ross not going platinum? Thats cool but he came in the game in 2006 and made it to Forbes list faster then probably any rapper in history besides like Macklemore. Just saying

    1. bcro31 says:

      Lol, no he didn’t.

      1. marty mcfly says:

The point was the nigga got rich as fuck fast as fuck in terms of from the point his debut dropped to the point where he’s singing acts himself like Wale, Meek Mill, Stalley, Rockie Fresh, etc… the nigga established MMG and made tens of millions of dollars without having to go platinum. He did something right is the point. He don’t need to go platinum when he’s making more money then alot of platinum artists.

        1. Gunplay's Coke Addiction says:

Ross makes the same as Mac Miller every year

          1. marty mcfly says:

Not really because Ross was on before Mac Miller was and even in that context Ross is not a white boy rapper with his own show on MTv. Ross did alot more as an artist with no platinum album then people give him credit for. Mac Miller is Pop music no matter how underground rap his sound is. He’s talking to a whole other audience that 95% of Hip Hop artists never get to reach.

    2. cmonhomiewemajor says:

50 cent got to the forbes list faster than any rapper in history…took him like 4 months to become a multi-millionaire

      Ross took like 4 years

      1. marty mcfly says:

Ok thats 50 Cent, the guy that sold 13 million copies of his debut album.

        1. cmonhomiewemajor says:

so? point is that Ross was slow as fuck and still doesnt have the fanbase to sell 1million records

  15. MR. UNDI$PUTED THE MOGUL says:

IT’S ALWAYS GREAT WHEN REAL HIP HOP IS WINNING!!!!! DOPE ALBUM BY A DOPE ARTIST!!!!

  16. Get Moneynigga says:

  22. tipp0183 says:

    well worth it

  23. Just Mike says:

    Congrats to the real

  24. Benji_lavioso says:

Congrats to Cole. Definitely an accomplishment.

On a bit of a different note, in regards to the GOMD video: I think it’s important to remember that videos don’t HAVE to match the lyrics. If anything, as an artist, there’s opportunity to push multiple messages by having mediums represent different themes but being put as a collective package. I get it. It seemed to be race baiting. But I think more than that it’s a Declaration of Independence. That’s never old. Every congressman and senator loves to reference a 300+ year old document. He’s referencing his emancipation. And the emancipation of his people. And he used a song everyone likes to throw out that message. That’s dope man. Just a possible perspective. #peace

  25. Diemenz says:

So what was thr last album to go platinum with out any features? Who ll cool j?
