  1. why are East Coast rappers trying to relive the 90’s with their freestyles..

    1. Therealmdotmoney says:

because every producer is making the same beat.

    2. TimeChange says:

because it was the best era of HipHop? and the current era is for homos?
only thing good in this era is battle rap and they spit like the 90’s NY era even if they come from saint louis

OK RapRadar, I’m going to tell you what every person who visits your page is thinking. This has gone on far too long.

First of all, this is not anything personal against Elliot, as his contribution to the Hip-hop community is undeniable.

    BUT.

RapRader must have the worst taste is rap music of any major rap blog period. Of all the exciting new artists making incredible new music, you still choose to post irrelevant 90’s rappers who refuse to evolve OR supporting really terrible NY acts (ie. Troy Ave). Hip-hop has evolved tremendously over the past years – both musically, aesthetically, culturally , and yet you’re still stuck on rappers still using scratch choruses and have zero artistic direction (ughh that grunge filter).

Truth be told, RapRadar seems to be operated by older dudes who are simply out of touch.

Most major blogs ie. Pigeons and Planes, Noisey, Fader, Hypetrak ..shit EVEN hiphopdx make an effort to keep up, and yet RapRadar stays promoting the new G-UNIT , Lox, etc which nobody really cares for.

Why post shitty freestyles of washed up rappers over outdated 90’s beats when we’re in the most exciting time in music ?

    just a thought.

    peace

I can agree with you on some points.. However. Exciting time in music? The only reason it has become remotely exciting is because artists like Danny Brown/Action Bronson(whose cd was pretty ass) Asap Rocky schoolboy q Kendrick Lamar have gone back to the 90’s flow. Lloyd Banks and Young Buck are still better than all of those artists anyways. Yayo is crazy good nowadays. Fab has been killing the songs he puts out with his words over the late 90’s sound which helped make rap what it is today a pop powerhouse that people under 25 seem to think is the way rap has always been.

I don’t know if your excited about artists like Drake or B.O.B. who have crossed over and are trying to kill rap by making it all pop music or if your into dyke girls like Tink and Dej Loaf(Black girls what is with that? At my college 2 years ago there were alot of lesbian black girls wearing bras that would make their chests flat and hey would dress like dudes and grow facial hair and talk like they were males(I would always address them as girls to piss them off))

I don’t know where you are coming from because G-Unit Fab have been killiing pretty much everything they have done and they don’t cater to this dance first substance later type rap crowd we got going now. It’s great
