Louis Farrakhan On ‘Sway In The Morning’

We Are The Winners.

Sway cleaned up nice to speak with the honorable minister, Louis Farrakhan. In the first clip of their sitdown, he discusses his relationship with Malcolm X and Elijah Muhammad. This is probably the most he’s spoken on the subject in years. Later on during their discussion, he reflects on his musical days as a violinist and weighs in on the current music industry.

I will gladly pay for a first class, one way ticket for Farrakhan to any place in Africa he wishes to go, provided he never gets to return to America. Just trying to do my part in making this a better country.

Why do you pay any attention to that troll?

          4. Kip says:

None of that is relevant. Mexicans have been in the USA before the USA was the USA. This is general knowledge. It’s fine to have a general response to el jim chap guzman because of his disgust for Farrakhan, but once you start mentioning his ethnicity by using derogatory terms, you lost the argument. In the end, it makes you no better than the racists during the 50s all the way to the present. Let’s not feed into the hate and have an honest, intelligent discussion.

          5. Savimbi says:

I can’t even disagree with your statement sir.

I see you haven’t learned your lesson. I told you once before: “You have to be very careful when critiquing Farrakhan–especially on a hip hop website.” There is no winning… in regards to critiquing Farrakhan, unless you provide visible and creditable evidence or referential points. You have to be concise in your beliefs and statements or you’ll fade with the overwhelming support for this man, as you can already see.

I’ll come back and check the comments. Sway is a better interviewer than the guys on the breakfast club, so perhaps there is some content and not just rhetoric. I watched the breakfast club interview and that was an absolute waste of time. Someone let me know if he has anything interesting to say about the future of black Africans. Zero interest in dogma an doctrine, only interested in principles and practices. Respect.

  7. A says:

Malcolm X never tried to get back into the nation of Islam after he left.

    1. Dark Matters says:

      And you know this, how?

      1. Kip says:

Read the Autobiography of Malcolm X. There was a divide within the nation, hence most of the aftermath that transpired after his death. This is one of the reasons why you had Betty Shabazz critiquing Farrakhan.

        1. Dark Matters says:

And you know that the autobiography is a complete recounting of every detail of Malcolm’s life, how?

Is Malcolm’s family not still alive? Do you think Farrakhan would make this statement if it weren’t true? Why would he risk Malcolm’s family refuting the story?

          1. Kip says:

First, I would just like to say, I’m not into the mean spirited debate. SO if you want to discuss anything with me, you have to present yourself in a respectful manor. Secondly, exactly, a “recounting,” a descriptive account on historical events or personal experience. Whether or not Malcolm X’s family is alive is not what I’m debating. What I’m simply citing is the rife the nation suffered during that time. As for Farrakhan, he’s made mistakes he’s even said it himself. It’s the fact that he could admit he is still a student (in someways) that makes him a pivotal figure.

          2. Dark Matters says:

In what way is any part of both of your comments a logical or undeniable demonstration of the assertion that, “Malcolm X never tried to get back into the nation of Islam after he left.”?

          3. Kip says:

Ha! I can tell you that I could smell hyperbole from a mile a way: “In what way is any part of both of your comments a logical or undeniable demonstration of the assertion.” Hmmm… clearly logic is only reserved for the chosen few, as you are an obvious example. What proof do you have that Malcolm X tried reuniting with the Nation of Islam? It’s seems like you’re relying on the statements of one man, and not assessing the situation on your own.

          4. Dark Matters says:

Says the man who claims to not be into “the mean spirited debate.”

What is hyperbolic about anything I said? Are you actually thinking before you type?

Unlike you I’m not asserting one or the other. I simply asked some very simple questions that you’ve been unable to answer. What I’m saying is that disproving the assertion of someone who would’ve had first hand knowledge on the basis of the writings of someone who had second knowledge of Malcolm’s life is erroneous thinking.

You’re assuming that because I question the logic used to disagree with Farrakhan’s assertion, that I must therefore be saying that Farrakhan is correct. The fact is neither you or I know. That is what you should be owning up to.

However, you’re so full of false certainty you insist on claiming that you know. The fact is you don’t.
