Zane Lowe made his Beats 1 Radio debut with Mr. Mathers. During their brief chat, Em spoke on his involvement in the film Southpaw, acting, and of course, new music.

Why am I not excited for new eminem music?
cuz dude been rapping for like 200 years and decided to start screaming all fast and shit instead of making timeless records like he used to. last time i cared about an album release of his was Recovery.

this guy music since his 3rd album is overrated and over hyped.
MMLP was good, eminem show was his best work (IMO) and encore was dope. Recovery was a huge success and yes, i did enjoy it. other than that his other work is really obnoxious.
First two were classics imo (sans infinite)….feels like he hasn’t been able to channel consistent good music. His bars is great still but feels like…dude turned into Limp Bizkit.
I loved Relapse too BTW…even the accents. MMLP2 about 1/2
man, i cant stand Relapse!!! haha i mean, i like his singles from it, but the rest was just horrible.
either way eminem was who sparked my interest in true lyricism and hip hop. if it wasnt for him i’d be listening to ying yang twins and neely xD
