I wonder if there’s any new directors that can make a video without the same go to elements. Flashing cash, rented luxury cars, rented mansions and rented chicks. There has to be new ways to display success without being so predictable, so redundant or so cliche.

Trust me, its not just the directors fault. Sometimes it is, the director is not creative and is a hood nigga himself. However, this flashy shit is what the rappers want, and rappers of his status have complete control over the video. I’m a music video director myself and RARELY do no-names ever give creative control to a director. If these no-name struggle rappers want complete control over their video, what makes you think such a big name like Future wouldnt? The artists who actually make it a collaboration and give some creative control to directors are one in a hundred. The thing is, these rappers have an image to uphold so all that ignorant shit is necessary. Think about Futures basic lyrics, do you really think anything else would suit him?
