New Music: CyHi The Prynce “Elephant In The Room”

Drop That Shit.

Frustrated with his label, CyHi dreams of kidnapping his boss Mr. West and G.O.O.D Music famalia on his latest new recording. Hopefully, this is Yeezy’s wake up call.

I’m thinking Ye cosigned this much like D.O.A. there’s too much money on the table to flip the table over and piss on it. Check the liner notes Ye need him and he need Ye.

  2. the-Lebron-curse. says:

This is long overdue. I wonder who’s gonna write Kanyes diss record?

  3. ATL says:

Ok seem like HipHop is slowly starting to sound like HipHop once again *crossfingers*

  4. i feel his frustration Cyhi Been slept and on left in the back for way too long its like this nigga is an unsigned artist on worldstar it seems kanye doesnt even holla at him or nothing

    1. YeezuS4 says:

yea word, cyhi be lowkey writing mad shit for kanye too. check those yeezus writing credits.

nigga kanye just using people at this point. aren’t you successful enough? you sign dude then keep his album from seeing the light of day, instead just taking all his hot lines for yourself….that’s dirty. no wonder why cudi left.

  5. RipRekt says:

hottttt man. kanye fucking around with cyhi for real. no artist wants to sign to GOOD music anymore….kanye is too busy trying to be “the world savior” than supporting his own artists. cudi was the heart of that good music movement and he was shaded out once the knock-off travis scott came around.

  6. KILLA says:

Cyhi The Prynce was tired of the bullshit! This shit is fire! Meek take notes, now this is a diss track!

  7. Kris Kompute says:

This ain’t no diss. This is vintage Eminem shit. Cyhi needs to stop bitching and make a radio single. Ain’t nobody putting money behind an album and you ain’t got a track that the average bitch won’t remember.

    1. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

I think he’s capable of making one…i dont think he’s ever serviced one to radio though.

      1. Joseph D. Hardrick says:

Yeah, I believe Guitar Melody could’ve been a radio play

    2. VernJ904 says:

      Basquiat had radio potential

    3. TheTruthHurts says:

Yeah cause I’m sure so many average bitches remember the singles from My Name is My Name… Shut the fuck up, no one that’s not a Hip-Hop head still bumps that album, female or otherwise so your point is mute. Go listen to the radio and get the fuck out of here ha!

      1. Kris Kompute says:

Like bitches and females listen to Cyhi. You argument is invalid and you sound like an imbecile.

Em is one of Cyhi’s influences and this topic/execution is clearly inspired by that.

And it this instance it’s “moot” you dumb mf.

Go back to world star. We think over here.

        1. TheTruthHurts says:

Why are you acting like I even said anything about Eminem? You’re clearly an Idiot 90% of the time on this site haha. And whether mute or moot, i’m right and your wrong. So head on over to world star yourself troll, your a hater here clearly. You’re already back peddling on your initial argument. You didn’t even talk about what I said, your a fucking clown.

          1. Kris Kompute says:

Back peddling how!? This ain’t a diss. It’s vintage eminem coming at his producer boss shit! I reiterated that in the last post.

You’re so got damn stupid that you confuse yourself! Go suck a dick and half twice you 3 dick sucking mf!

          2. TheTruthHurts says:

And again I say I never mentioned Eminem… You must be confusing me for someone else haha.

You said they won’t drop his album without a song females will remember, I said they put out Pusha T’s album MNIMN and females don’t remember those singles so your point was “moot”.

All you can do is toss out insults when your the confused idiot here clearly that speaks out of his ass. Go back to worldstar like you told me to do before you told me to suck dicks just like someone on worldstar would. Let that ignorance shine to the world though, it’s a good look for you.

          3. Kris Kompute says:

Well, well…Looky here you little stupid bitch!

            http://www.hotnewhiphop.com/cyhi-the-prynce-says-he-didnt-diss-kanye-west-on-elephant-in-the-room-news.16959.html

“When @eminem does the shit to @drdre they win Grammys!!! But when….. Ya’ll get the drift”

Like I originally stated. Apologize to Melo 5.

          4. TheTruthHurts says:

It takes you this long to come up with something when I saw your bitch ass posting yesterday? Your a faggot hahaha, If you think I’m clicking on your link or thinking about you at all like you clearly are at midnight days after talking… SMH. Men acting like females here daily hahaha! Keep posting and looking stupid as shit all over this site though haha! EVERYONE READ THIS CONVO AND SEE HOW DUMB THIS RAT IS!

          5. Kris Kompute says:

            You’re a dumbfuck.

Pusha T had name recognition. Ever heard of Clipse? The “Don’t Like” remix pushed Pusha into the modern mainstream. “Move that Dope” was a great follow-up. Pusha has Pharrell in his pocket. He has a market. A name. A brand. Cyhi doesn’t have shit. The two don’t even compare. But you’re so pre-occupied with trying to prove me wrong that you’ll stretch anything.

Like I stated before, please…shut the fuck up.

          6. TheTruthHurts says:

Back peddled out of that other shit you were saying pretty fast eh? Moron. And yeah because all bitches talk about are how much they love The Clipse.. I’m a big Clipse fan and they don’t make songs that majority of females will remember which is your arguement initially. Not to mention Pusha as a solo artist is even less known mainstream. I’m saying Pusha doesn’t even meet your criteria so how could Cyhi is my point? You’re reading comprehension skills are LOW.

            You’re a dumbfuck.

            So please…shut the fuck up.

  8. Mr.Stealyogurl says:

He should have been started leaking music!!! Loyalty is always something to be applauded but nigga I’m glad you woke up, now get yo money!!

This guy could rap circles around big Sean I feel his frustration

    1. Chrome212 says:

he can rap circles around big sean but he aint got the hits like big sean …

      1. Mr.Stealyogurl says:

Okay?? and YOU don’t got hits like Young thug

        1. Cantona says:

Real mature dude. Couldn’t really expect much more from a username like that.

      2. Marko V says:

More artists need to follow the model J Cole set

        1. marty mcfly says:

J Cole started his career on tour with Jay Z, Rhianna, and Drake. Its no way that model could ever fail.

      3. marty mcfly says:

Fuck making “hits” thats what got Hip Hop fucked up in the first place by thinking formulaic like that.

    2. H says:

i feel like u are Cyhi posting on this page in disguise bruh

  9. KILLA says:

I want to mention one thing though, why is the GOOD Music logo still on the cover art. As well as Good Music is listed on all his bios on social media. Could he just be trolling for some buzz for his project? I find it weird that someone who isn’t on Good Music no longer would still have it listed on their social media platforms and cover art.

    1. BK James says:

I think he still thinks that there is a chance he will get to put that album out. Unfortunately this kind of track will only get him dropped.

  10. Dsunn says:

Someone give this egomaniac a topic. Cyhi=stat quo

    1. Marko V says:

Very Gud point. No buzz generated after how many mixtapes? Not one song the people pushed for? Cmon now. Future dropped mixtapes and each one had an anthem on the streets and in the clubs then ultimately he dropped that album that debuted at no 1. Study it. Oh Cyhi not that kind of rapper so thT mixtape model doesn’t sir for him. Well Good Music should study the J Cole method of creating a radio record then add it to his album of original material, release it and let him tour and connect with the people. Then give him a 6-7 month period to follow up and repeat the process and watch his numbers grow. Actually this is the only way to do it now for actual emcees.

      1. Kris Kompute says:

That’s not what happened. Cole toured for two years before his album came out. Dropped FNL out of frustration which basically was his first album. “Who Dat” damn near got his ass dropped.

        Study the game.

        1. marty mcfly says:

Then he did that corny single which was a Kanye rip off that let Nas down.

          1. Kris Kompute says:

That corny single was what the label was waiting on to release his album. It also topped the rapped chart and is highest charting single to date. #13 on Billboard Hot 100.

“workout” gave Cole crossover appeal which has obviously helped him to this day.

You Mfs seriously don’t listen to lyrics.

          2. marty mcfly says:

And before that It was In The Morning feature one of the hottest artists in the game at the time, Drake. Thats after he was on a platinum album with JAYZ and after coming of a tour with Rihanna. Cole’s success had alot to do with a visibility level that only he and Drake have had since then. Cyhi’s circumstances are different. I did listen to the lyrics to Work Out and it was still corny. Cyhi can make a hit too but the circumstances are most likely gonna be different because he’s not gonna get the same level of looks as Cole did. The build up process for Cole took years and during those years he was standing next to the biggest artists in Hip Hop, including Jay Z.

          3. Kris Kompute says:

I’m not talking about the lyrics of workout, I’m talking about the lyrics of Cole’s music period. He talks about the “Who Dat”/FNL/”Workout” journey all the time. Listen and you might learn some shit.

“In the Morning” wasn’t even an official single and got no radio push until his album came out which was after “workout”. Drake then isn’t the Drake he is now. The Drake effect was non existent. They were two young artists who gave out free albums on mix tapes.

Jay-Z did help Cole, but he wasn’t walking with him all the time. He did the BP3 tour and that was it.

Cyhi and Jon Conner are in the same boat. Dope lyricists who can’t make songs. Period.

          4. marty mcfly says:

Cole’s music isn’t that complex dude so you talking about learn some shit is laughable. You saying the Drake effect was non existent back then is bullshit. Drake was hotter then hell fire at that point. You say Jayz had Cole on BP3 and on tour and that was it? Bruh, you have any idea how big that is to be on tour with JAYZ? Comeonson

          5. Kris Kompute says:

You act like being on tour with Jay-Z is guaranteed success. Cole performed one verse of one song every night. 46 seconds.

Ask Memphis bleek. Niggas think co-signs are the end all be all. Gtfoh. Niggas gotta put in work.

          6. marty mcfly says:

Fool, if your a new artist on tour with Jayz on a platinum album and a record deal and a Roc Nation staff behind your career… I’d say thats a better position then Cole was in doing it by himself in NC between college courses. Your talking about guaranteed success in regards to J Cole, who happens to be a successful artist.

          7. marty mcfly says:

When he performed that one verse every night (before going on another tour where he performed a whole set before Rihanna and Drake) with JAYZ, he was exposed to MILLIONS of people AND he was when your cosigned by Jayz of all people and actually rapping with him on stage where everybody can see the shit, id say thats a pretty good way to start your professional rap career.

          8. marty mcfly says:

And Bleek was a friend of the family as far as Jay is concerned. Its not like Jay discovered Bleek as a rapper.

          9. marty mcfly says:

Like Cole was a new artist and this was before his debut and he’s on a song called A Star Is Born with Jayz on an album that went platinum and he has a song with Drake and on tour with Rihanna and you don’t think Jay was walking with Cole? The back of his album says Roc Nation on it… All I’m saying is under those kinda circumstances of course he would blow up. Shit he even had a song called Blow Up that was on the radio to before his debut after he performed that song on the BET awards. The promo for J Cole had to run in the millions of dollars… Cyhi aint got that kinda support but I will say he’s a better rapper then Cole any day and he can make songs incase you need to go listen to his music. He just don’t have the same industry backing that Cole had.

          10. Kris Kompute says:

Now you’re just lying. Blow up and lights please weren’t on the radio. He performed blow up on the music matters tour.

          11. marty mcfly says:

Yes they were fool, I aint gotta to lie about shit.

          12. marty mcfly says:

He performed Blow Up at a BET award show like I said he did. Do your googles.

          13. Kris Kompute says:

BET hip hop awards. I’ll give you that.

Blow Up was never promoted to the radio. Ready to admit your lie?

          14. marty mcfly says:

It was played on commercial radio. That is not a lie.

        2. Marko V says:

Who dat didn’t almost get him dropped. It just was not what the label wanted for a radio ready song so they sent him back to the drawing board. He had material sta Jed and time was passing so he beloved enough in himself to give his fans his hard earned art as a mixtape. He knew he needed work just like the label knew, the fans however didn’t know because they just wants something new for J Cole. He toured for 2 years to make money and work the mixtape and gear up for the album by connecting with immediate fans and potential fans. It worked! And now I’m saying Cyhi has a better chance because he can get Kanye or Pusha or Big Sean (all wit Good Music) to hop on a song that he knows will reach radio and from there it’s a go! Work the radio song and add in the selected features and popular songs from past mixtapes while he tours and works on the debut album with the radio song included. The. After touchin popular cities generating interest and possibly becoming a feature on other songs because other artists see his buzz, then he drops the album that can imprint his name in the game. I not only study I pass the tests.

          1. marty mcfly says:

Maybe Cyhi is trying to get Kanye back in the studio. You say study the test and pass but its easier said then done. Try to become a platinum recording artist and you’ll find out its not just a test that you can study for. Each situation is gonna be different.

          2. Marko V says:

I live in st.louis and some local rapper hooked up with Trey Songs and together they got Nelly and the chic K Foxx from LHHATL to appear on a remix that’s starting to get spins. I say that to say Cyhi has all the connects he needs to get on mainstream radio but before all that he has to learn how to make the type of song that’s caters to that market so he can open up the doors to walk in and do wat he wants to do. Wiz learned that. He’ll even Big Swan had to learn that and thus that song wit Chris Brown was created and his career took off. I still think Bullshittin was a perfect radio song but no it wasn’t. Cyhi has to learn the model (for this climate) and do one song, not a lot, and break down the barrier.

          3. marty mcfly says:

Cyhi has those songs but just cause you make radio songs doesn’t mean they just gonna play them like that. Its alot of artists with that “one song” but they not gonna end up on a commercial playlist just because they have that “one song”. You gotta do more then have the song, you gotta play the political game as well. That process can take years… especially with the major successful artists with the connects already are taking up them spots on radio. The same time Cyhi delivers a single to radio, so does Chris Brown, they gonna look at who does more numbers and put Chris on that list before Cyhi. I’m not saying its impossible, but its not some shit you can just study and then make happen at will like that.

          4. Kris Kompute says:

            WTF are you talking about?

Labels don’t put marketing campaigns behind artist’s debut singles when they “don’t want it”. “Who Dat” was a fuckin flop and almost got his ass chopped.

He toured for two years not to make money, because Roc Nation was waiting on “Workout”. Gearing up for the album was not intentional. If that was the case, he would have never dropped FNL and kept all of that material for his studio debut.

Do you listen to Cole’s music? He talks about this shit all the time.

Cyhi was on MBDTF. He had a chance. Dude can’t make commercial viable songs. Period.

Go read a fuckin book about the music business.

            You don’t know jack shit.

          5. Marko V says:

First off I agree that Cyhi has not been able to make a commercial song to generate his interest enough to go beyond a mixtape rapper.
Secondly Who Dat was a flop only to record execs because realistically it got him spins more than any other song he’s created at that point. Just not enough for the label to push. Just like Cyni who has made songs in attempt to reach radio but never quite hit.
Thirdly I’ve been listening to Cole since I Get Up off the Watm Up and actually been disappointed in in major released material but enjoyed his success so yea I’ve studied how he won and yea I listened to the CROWN INTERVIEW where he broke all this down (word to Elliott Wilson).

          6. Kris Kompute says:

“It got him spins more than other song he created to that point”

NIGGA, it was his first single!!! Of course it did! That doesn’t mean the shit was a success. The song was ass and didn’t do anything but cost Roc Nation money. It cost a record label about $1M to promote a song to the radio so they ain’t Fina roll the dice with some shit they don’t believe in . Dej Loaf’s “Try Me” was more popular than that shit.

You know absolutely nothing about he music industry. Stop talking.

      2. marty mcfly says:

Future is trash. Cyhi done been around Jayz, so you think he’s gonna study Future? Fuck no. What Future does is different then what Cyhi does as an emcee so the club approach is gonna be different results for Cyhi. Future promos for long periods of time in strip clubs before he releases music. Not everybody is gonna market themselves the same as Future.

        1. Marko V says:

My Futyre reference was merely to show how multiple mixtapes should have generated him some interest. Then later int comment I let u kno they are different artists and should use different techniques and based on a lyrical standpoint the method J Cole team used would’ve been better suited for Cyhi

          1. marty mcfly says:

The Future situation was just different. Cyhi also has multiple mixtapes but Future didn’t just make a hit and then blow up, he made so many club records that over time, people had no choice but to pay attention because every strip club and ATL was playing back to back Future songs. Cyhi isn’t that kinda artist. J Cole had a team but that also included Jayz which is why Cole was on BP3 and on tour with Rihanna and Drake. Cyhi has similar surroundings but he aint making a bunch of love songs like Cole did early on. Cyhi is gonna need that banger from Kanye to sit real shit on. Cole is almost an R&B artist because from Lights Please to Work Out to Can’t Get Enough, Nobody’s Perfect, Power Trip etc… Its like a constant love song/radio friendly cliche kinda song with him. Cyhi isn’t that kinda artist.

  11. FollowtheDough says:

Can we just mention the intro? Who is fucking w/ this intro? Cyhi gave you the real… LOL

  12. YOUNG NIGGA says:

Does this guy have a fan base? Or just a bunch of Kanye fans that thought he was aight after hearing him on so appalled?

  13. bcl187 says:

Good cyhi da prince was dope! Why the fuck was his albim not out yet! Hez good

  14. Epul says:

This song wouldn’t even be relevant if wasnt for Kanye, don’t act like he ain’t do nothin for you lol

  15. Gordon says:

He shouldn’t be blaming Kanye or Def Jam. He’s just not a very good rapper.

    1. T says:

  18. AirunDevon says:

This is why rappers can’t sign to other rappers unless they got a BIG buzz going in. Kanye is busy doing his thing, he ain’t got time to put another artist in a winning position. Especially one that writes for him.

  19. Fleez says:

This his “How To Rob”! It’s humor and cynicism all in this joint…
