After months of waiting, Kanye’s Swish finally has a release date: February 11. It should also be noted that day marks the start to NBA All-Star Weekend. If anything, let’s hope “Real Friends” is a sign of things to come. Facts.

He hasn’t dropped a bad album yet so I would be surprised if it sucked… that said I’m not expecting it be his best work but I haven’t been disappointed yet.

Yeezus was bad
Imo, as a fan, Yeezus was his worst album. But once I got out of my feelings & listened to it as is while not rethinking about old Ye, it’s a very good album. He’s a motherfucker we’re comparing to himself, so you can’t really compare his shit album by album ’cause he keeps doing different shit.
Definitely gotta listen to it with a blank slate.
I’m not comparing it to his other albums. I’m judging it by what I heard. And it’s overproduced shit that Kanye just copy and pasted the parts of beats he liked that his stable of producers made. That and the lyrical content is stupid and/or contradictory to what he says on other tracks.
Well the discussion of his bars is taboo because on one hand he has said some of the best shit I’ve ever heard on record; on the other hand, he does “speak swaghili”. I charge that to Kanye being Kanye mostly. I can’t hold the overproduction against him when it’s being done in hip-hop generally like Zaytoven, Allen Ritter, & Metro Boomin all producing on 3500 or 808 Mafia coming up as a collective. Sign of the times.

Nahh u must be buggin, it was different for sure and I guess if the only genre of music you like is rap it could be seen as disappointing, but I personally loved it, the production was amazing and the album contained some of the best lyrics of his career… not on every track but “New Slaves”, “Hold My Liquor” and “Blood on the Leaves” are definitely among his best lyrical pieces in my opinion… add to that a fresh and diverse sound and it is one of the best albums he has done… now since he has so many great albums its hard to say where it falls, but I currently enjoy it more than Graduation, MBDTF and 808’s… it’s not his best rap album, but as an album of music it is up there with Late Registration. Now I’m not saying everyone has to agree that it is one of his best, but if you listen to a diverse selection of music I don’t see how you could go as far as to say Yeezus was bad.
