Over the Weekend, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture was open to the public. Def Jam’s first publicist and hip-hop historian, Bill Adler, parted with some of his photography collection for the gallery. In this documentary short, the Adler showcases his remaining collection and other memorabilia.

    It is about time. I never understood why Washington DC has a Holocaust museum and not an African American one. The Holocaust did not happen in America. It would be like the Germans having a museum about the Native American genocide..
