The gold couch always has room for more—even for former foes. As speculated, Jim Jones officially let the ink dry yesterday with his new management deal with Roc Nation. This may come to a surprise to many as Jomo and label founder Jay Z had a long history of feuds dating back to 2004. Congrats! Says him:
“As you get older you realize that most of your peers are either dead or in jail,” Jones said in a quote provided to Billboard. “The fact that we can move past the BS is a testimony [to] how much we have grown.”

As much as I despise Jim & all the BS he’s done in the past, this is cool based on the fact that it shows people that Jay can look past all that petty garbage as being meaningless & 2 sides can come together & make $$$ for each other!!!! It’s not like Roc Nation is struggling to find Artists/Athletes to manage. Now the interesting part is Dame & Cam’s thoughts on this because this is like WWE/Bizarro world shit!!!

That’s cool but what about the young artist? The culture moves based off the young people. They need to be finding the next Hov not bringing people back. Imo
When people hear Roc Nation they usually think record deal/music. But more than just music,Roc Nation as a management company has aligned many of their clients with top brands. Brands looking for hip hop exposure trust Roc Nation to pair them with an entertainer or athlete from their stable of entertainers and athletes. The benefit Roc Nation gets is they build new or stronger partnerships with large brands. In turn they gain influence across advertising, music, fashion, sports, etc. The artist, specifically the older artists, strengthen or build their brand. They have management that finds ways to maximize their earning potential while still being true to their brand. It makes sense for a Jim to align with Roc Nation. He can build Vamp Life through partnerships they already have. He can do more tv and movies through them. The opportunities are only limited to what he wants to do. It’s a good look.
Agree with everything, I guess my problem is that everybody over there is from NY. It’s cool when the rich get richer but what about finding young kids with a dream and empowering them? Roc nation is in a position of power. Don’t become the people you loathe. Find young dudes and young crews with a dream and make it come true like people did for you. These people they signing been rich. Is there no more impoverished kids in NY with talent and dreams? Let’s push the culture forward. With all due respect.

Roc nation seems to be trying to build there roster. I’m curious as to what’s the plan for some of the recent signees. The original roster didn’t seem to need much push. Wale, Cole, Jay they all really self sufficient for the most part. It just doesn’t seem to be a need to sign these deals in this day and age.
