2018 MTV VMA Performances & Winners

From The Block to The Vanguard

Last night, MTV honored the biggest musical acts for their 35th annual Video Music Awards.Taken place at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, Jennifer Lopez was honored the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award after an electrifying medley including “I’m Real” and “Ain’t It Funny” with Ja Rule and her new single, “Dinero” with DJ Khaled.

Performance highlights included Cardi B’s opening monologue and performances from Logic, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, Post Malone, 21 Savage, Juice WRLD, Jessie Reyez and more

Big wins throughout the evening included Post Malone taking Song Of The Year with “Rockstar.” Cardi B was crowned Best New Artist and J.Lo’s “Dinero” cashed in with Best Collaboration with Cardi B and Khaled.

Nicki Minaj’s “Chun Li” came up victorious in the Best Rap Video round and The Carter’s went “Apeshit” in the Best Art Direction category. “All The Stars” were aligned with Kendrick Lamar and SZA for Best Visual Effects while Cardi B had this year’s Song Of The Summer with “I Like It.” N.E.R.D. and Rihanna’s “Lemon” hit Best Edit Video and Childish Gambino’s  “This Is America” walked away with three awards including Best Choreography, Best Direction and Video With A Message.
