It appears that American Idol is interested in some of Hip-Hop’s finest. And according to TMZ, Kanye is now on the short list of potential candidates. Diddy and Pharrell have also been thrown into the mix.

A few days ago, it was rumored that Nicki Minaj will soon close out her deal to join the panel. If so, she will rub elbows with Mariah Carey, who signed on last month. New season kicks off this January.

Word on the curb is that Puff is in talks to become one of the next judges on American Idol. If his addition is anything like it was on Making The Band, this might be worth watching. New season begins January 2013.

Is Game bringing his theatrics to TV? Well according to TMZ, Game and 51 Minds Ent. began production on his journey down the aisle and has pitched distribution deals with MTV and VH1.

Back in October, the rapper proposed to his long-time girlfriend, now fiancé, Tiffany Cambridge. No title yet, but uh, how ’bout “Married To The Game”?

Days after the melee at WIP, the NY Post has learned that Drake is now facing reckless endangerment charges. If he doesn’t surrender to authorities, he may be arrested at his concert tonight at Jones Beach. MTV caught up with label boss Birdman down in Atlanta, and he insists Drizzy did nothing wrong. We’ll see how this plays out. Be’lee dat.

UPDATE 2: WIP closes indefinitely

Ouch! While partying at WIP in NYC last night, Breezy was caught in a middle of an altercation where bottles were thrown. NYPD confirms that Drake’s entourage was involved. Shortly after the incident, Chris shared the experience on Twitter before deleting his tweets.

Uh, Suge does know what we all saw last weekend was a hologram, right? Anyway, during his chat with LA’s 93.5 KDay, the former rap mogul says that he believes ‘Pac hasn’t seen the after life yet.

“Maybe the question is … Pac’s not really dead … Pac’s somewhere else. Nobody seen Tupac dead. The person who supposedly cremated Tupac … this guy got about 3 million dollars .. personally from me … cash … and next thing I know I never heard from the guy or seen him again … he retired and left.”

Despite Havoc’s statement last night, The Breakfast Club played an audio clip this morning of Havoc allegedly dissing Prodigy. Mobb Deep collaborator N.O.R.E., then called in to verify the call.

Those cameras are everywhere. According to TMZ, a police report was filed by a photographer last week for allegedly being assaulted by Tunechi’s crew while skating in a “no skating zone” outside a Miami church. Oh Lord.

The photog claims it didn’t end there — insisting one of Wayne’s dudes spat on him, while another pushed him to the ground. The photog says the group also beat his bicycle with a skateboard. Wait, stop the party presses. According to the NY Post, Swizz Beatz is the monster behind Megaupload. Who knew?! Last month, Universal Records issued cease and desists to have promos featuring their artists removed. Mega returned fire with a lawsuit. Period.

A Mega rep told us: “We have never received any word that any artist has [individually] filed a take-down . . . [we have] legally binding agreements with the performers that appear in the video . . . They promised that they had the rights to enter into that agreement and it’s not interfering with any third-party rights.”

After the success of The Big 10, Curtis once again took to Twitter and jokingly threatened Interscope to release his new album or he will take matters into his own hands and release more free music.
