Music pioneer Chuck Brown, died today in D.C. after being hospitalized for pneumonia. He was 75.
Although he was known as the “Godfather Of Go-Go”, Brown influenced and inspired countless acts out of the Washington D.C area. His sound hit a high note in 2002 when Nelly sampled his hit, “Bustin Loose” for “Hot In Herre”.
Announced earlier at the launch party at the House of Blues in LA, were this year’s lineup for Rock The Bells. The festival begins at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, CA on August 18 & 19, Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA August 25 & 26 before ending at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ on September 1 & 2. Yup, same days as Hov’s Made In America festival in Philly.

After debuting his new record with Angie earlier today, T.I. says he will release his Trouble Man album on September 4 and the second season of The Family Hustle VH 1 series is premiering the day before.
After a few months of speculation, it was officially announced today that Teyana Taylor has joined Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music and Island Def Jam. Congrats Ms. Taylor.
