Nothing Strange.
Although Lecrae’s Anomaly is devoid of a parental advisory sticker, he displays grown man bars with a spiritual sensibility. That’s a balancing act worth praising. —B.Dot

    B. DOT, PROOF READ NEXT TIME. HIS NAME IS NOT “Lecare”. SMH

    1. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

      thanks. oversight,

      1. Stanfield says:

You are very welcome B. Dot.

      2. #IDGT says:

You just had another oversight there buddy. looool.

      3. Say bro, can you please change the current header from “LIST WEEK” to “If you knowingly don’t like this shit, then why the fuck did you click the link? Just so you could whine & bitch in the comment section like a faggot? I hate you miserable niggas, you niggas probably hate pussy too…don’t hate on my opinion.” I’m just saying it’s more fitting & has a better ring to it than “LIST WEEK”

    2. FLASH KID says:

Don’t say that, man. Rap radar has started deleting comments that point out their typos and grammatical errors.

      #Journalism at its finest.

  2. alex says:

Corny like every other Christian artist that has ever existed.

      1. alex says:

For some reason we are the only genre of fans who actually think this stuff is acceptable. Literally every other genre of fans rip the people who make christian rock or even pop for that matter to shreds but macklemore is a gimmick?? I love you fellow rap fans but I do not understand you sometimes. We are all fight the power one minute but gullible idiots the next.

        1. ilexx says:

So because other genres want to oppress christians making their genre of music we should just blindly do the same?

From what I heard, especially on Anomaly, I wouldn’t say Lecrae makes Christian Rap, he is just a Christian who raps and raps pretty well actually.

He ain’t preaching, he is just spitting bars and making some good music.

          1. Upheaval says:

Lool. Criticising corny christian music (which is often filled with empty religious platitudes) is now ”oppression’.

Smh. Talk about a persecution complex.

          2. ilexx says:

The use of the term “oppress” was probably a bit excessive lol but the point is I don’t believe we need to blindly hate (or just not accept) anybody of any faith making any kind of genre music they would like to make. Their choice of faith shouldn’t affect our decision to accept their music.

Lupe Fiasco is Muslim, does he do Muslim rap? Freeway, Muslim, does he do Muslim rap? They are just really good rappers who happen to be Muslim.

I just feel that labeling it “corny christian music” is belittling what it actually is. If you think his music is corny then say that. Like it or hate it because the music is good or bad, judge it on the quality of the music at least.

I thought the album was pretty good and its the first full body of work I have heard from Lecrae. I can’t see why we shouldn’t support his music.

          3. Upheaval says:

Now that you’ve fleshed out your argument, I agree with you.

Btw, I haven’t actually given Lecrae a listen.

My ‘corny Christian music’ jibe was directed at overtly religious sub-genres of music (Christian rock, rap etc.)

The ones that tend to tend to do less music making, more proselytising.

          4. RAPRADARSOX says:

Church Clothes, and Church Clothes 2 are really dope free albums of his. Check’em out.

    1. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

He’s more Kanye West than Kirk Franklin.

      1. Kanye West aint even more Kanye West than Kanye West. LOL You heard that new track? HORRIBLE. Glory > Only One. #TIMELESS

  3. Da Business says:

    Pleasantly surprised by this lp.

  4. THE REAL mac DIESEL says:

Lol even the garbage can get a piece of meat.

  6. THEY COULD CALL THIS A UNRATED ALBUM BUT LACRAE HAS A STRONG FAN BASE AND UNLIKE ALOT OF MAINSTREAM RAPPERS HE CAN ACTUALLY SPIT AND THOUGHT PROVING TOPICS WITH A MESSAGE

  7. Sina Mailer Daemon Djavadkhani says:

I love the dynamic musicality and the spiritual depth of this record!!! Lecrae stepped up his music and message 10 fold on this album !!!

  8. Extra Domus says:

How THE FUCK is a number one release considered an underrated album? HAHHAHA fucking dumbass

  9. yorapper says:

I’ve checked his stuff out I like his approach but his execution is weak. His raps are just a bunch of marketing slogans for middle of the road church goers. He doesn’t even seem to interested in appealing to them, but just using them as a marketing base. I can’t get behind using god and religion to sell cds. Seems as lame to me as using being a druglord to sell cds.

  10. aldo says:

i liked this album. tracks 5 9 and 13 were the best.
