’15 Best Albums #6: Pusha T ‘Darkest Before Dawn’

Ughhk

In probably the most active year of rap music, Pusha T came thru at the end with the knockout punch. This is a lean and mean 10 song collection of unconventional beats and endlessly quotable rhymes. Push finally sounds comfortable as a solo star so you weak MC’s should fear the future. Ha!—EW

Excellent album w/no filler. Great production on this joint too. Dream definitely killed the hooks.

I just listened to this and it was incredible ! I didn’t like the Keep Dealing single on its own, but in context this is a very cohesive album with so much personality! Great work Pusha !!
