Ya Dig?

Despite being the most vocal member of The Diplomats, Jim Jones has been quietly at work. Fresh off hiatus, the Harlem heavyweight has reemerged with his new album, The Kitchen. But from beyond the stove, Capo has been recently takin’ heat from Dipset frontman, Cam’Ron. Mobbing through the city, Jomo speaks on his new music, childhood, Nas, Jay Z, Dame Dash, Max B, and much more.

DON’T GET MAD, MACTER, UPS IS HIRING.

  3. The Gary Group says:

I can never respect Jim after what he did to Cam during that 50 beef. You don’t do songs and go onstage with a nigga I’m beefing with and you’re supposed to “have my back forever.” He’s a snake and a fake tough guy. Got ran around Rucker Park, beat up in Harlem, robbed Max B, bullied by Tru Life and Loon,And Jay destroyed him. He let Ballin go to his head

    1. THE REAL mac DIESEL says:

……………..HA!!!! THAT RUCKER PARK VIDEO WAS HILARIOUS!!!! SHOUT OUT TO LIL CEASE!!!! LMAO!!!!

  9. youngfandango says:

    b dot is the savior

  10. Sina Mailer Daemon Djavadkhani says:

I learned alot from this episode! It’s true, Jim Jones and dipset had a big influence on the fashion and style!

  11. ilexx says:

Never really liked Jim Jones and on the low I’ve felt like he is the entire reason Diaper haven’t been able to get back together.

Jim Jones let ballin swell his head and he didn’t even write the god damn hook. How do you act like you’re the shit because of a song that you didn’t create on your own? So basically without the help of the man who created it you’ve been unable to create another.

    1. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

It’s a solid project. “Addicted To The Game” and “The Kitchen” are my favorite tracks. He really shines over dusty/ soulful production ala Pete Rock

      1. ilexx says:

I’m gonna check it out. If it’s on streaming on Google Play then it’s a click away.

I don’t like the way you said “dusty/souful production” tho, makes me feel like it’s gonna be dated.

  12. Brokeback Cowboy says:

    Is this guy still relevant?

  13. Key says:

    Nigga said you uber everywhere

  14. BK says:

Nice. Jim Jones surprised me with The Kitchen, it’s pretty good.

  16. Vurbz Fenomeno says:

yo what is elliot always laughing at though. Its not just that the laugh is wild, its also that its at the wrong time.

  17. Vlad the #1 culture vulture says:

Why all the Jim jones hate? My man capo had a lot of bangers under his diamond incrusted skull belt!

    1. ♔Gяêên Rångêя♔ says:

He a shisty individual and he did max b dirty

  18. DialTone says:

Salute Too Jim Jones homie got in the game and made a lane for himself while a bunch of Keyboard Herbs with no lane talk shit. Nuff RESPECT to him and The Dipset. Dudes came in the game and made a lot of moves and made a lot of money and made a lot of Dope HIP-HOP joints.

  19. blizz40th says:

jim aint no artist. he never/doesnt write.. hes not a tough guy – ask tru life and loyalty..well..we all know….

  20. Pulho says:

Good EP. I prefer listening to your podcast because it has structure, intelligent and depth + got used to Elliots laugh lol. Them NORE NIGGAS have great guests but are ennoying as FUCK he basically interviews old niggas still trying to prove they’re gangsters and be whisteling in the back like some cheerleaders always looking for A juicy story since that MJ backlash.

    1. Da Business says:

That’s a little harsh, bruh. I do agree that RR is the most polished hip hop podcast out there, but it’s always good to mix it up. Nore’s joint is more like a couple of kats just chillin’, choppin’ it up, while throwing a few back. They both have their place in the podcast game, along with a few others.

I can never get use to Elliot’s laugh, lol, never…

I say keep the content coming from all angles. Shit, a lot of these joints are better and more entertaining than these albums nowadays. It’s been a pretty weak year in hip hop.

      #salute

  21. Thomas says:

This is my first time commenting on any website, let alone a rap blog. It’s becoming apparently clear that Drink Champs is a far superior podcast. Congrats on the success of the website but you need to make some serious changes to your podcast unless you guys want to get blown out the water by Drink Champs.

Also, Elliot not giving Nore Lyors number was a punk move. “Males shouldn’t be jealous that’s a female trait!”

Enjoy the summer fellas! Congrats on the success of the website.
