Earlier tonight, DJ Mark Ronson premiered Bey & Dre’s cover of Amy Winehouse’s “Back To Black” on his East Village Radio show. The track appears on The Great Gatsby soundtrack which is executive produced by Jay-Z and will be available on May 7th.

“It’s important for me to be clear about the origins of my contributions to ‘Pink Matter’ and ‘Sorry.’ I was approached as a solo artist by both Frank Ocean & Tip. I discussed musical direction with each artist and completed my verses. It was after that when Big Boi’s name came up.
I never want to mislead our audience – I worried that some would think these were Outkast collaborations. These songs are not Outkast collaborations. I discussed this rationale with Big, Frank and T.I. and everyone agreed. That is why I was surprised to read about these remixes.

It’s never too late to apologize and on T.I.’s “Sorry”, Andre 3000 shows remorse to his OutKast partner, Big Boi. While at Tip’s listening session last night in Atlanta, General Patton says he actually approves of the rhyme. We’re fans of niggas that can rap too.

Hey ya! After much speculation, IFTN confirms that Andre 3000 will play Jimi Hendrix in the legendary guitarist’s biopic, All Is By My Side and that it will begin production in Ireland later this month.
The project is currently in pre-production in Wicklow, with principal photography set to begin in three weeks time in Dublin and Wicklow. The shoot will last six weeks in total.
‘All Is By My Side’ will be co-produced by Irish producer Tristan Orpen Lynch for Dublin-based production company Subotica Entertainment alongside ‘Donnie Darko’ director Richard Kelly’s Darko Entertainment and Britain’s Matador Pictures. The three companies will produce the movie under the banner of Watchtower Film Productions, with offices based out of Ardmore Studios.
