True. But they don't need the same amount of listeners because those numbers only bring in advertisers but Tidal is offsetting what they would get from advertisers for however long their contract is.
I'm a TIDAL subscriber and I feel you 100% on that. This whole exclusivity shit kills me sometimes but that's the wave. Just like podcasts are the wave now.
most people listen to podcasts on their phones on the podcast app. apple or droid. exclusivity doesn't work. ask elliot how much their listenership went down since they switched to tidal. sure they probably caught a check but they're creating content for a vacuum. what's the point if nobody's listening?
