With today marking the sixth anniversary of Dilla’s passing, fellow Detroit Big Sean dedicates his new track to the fallen producer.

In honor of J. Dilla being one of the most influential producers of all time, I decided to lay a verse to one of my favorite tracks off of J. Dilla’s Donuts. Being from Detroit I feel I have a responsibility to honor his legacy n continue it in my own way. His soul will live forever… RIP J. Dilla

Big Sean closed out the final day of the Sundance Film Festival at the 427 Main in UT. Pardon the camera angle above, but Sean Don runs through “Marvin & Chardonnay”, “My Last”, and “A$$”. Boi.

As we wait for Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music album, Pusha T and Big Sean were recently joined by producer Mannie Fresh in the UK where the crew are all recording together. Let’s hope the outcome of this sounds uh, good.

Tyrese promised us the official remix a few weeks back, and today he comes through with the final product featuring Big Sean, Tip and Busta. His new album, Open Invitation is in stores now.

While on the set of Wale’s “Slight Work“, Big Sean told MTV that the G.O.O.D. Music album is nearly done. He then says we can expect his sophomore album this Spring.

“We’re gonna do the G.O.O.D. Music album first; we been working on that. So, me, Kanye, Cudi, CyHi, John Legend, Common, Pusha T, everybody on G.O.O.D., Mr Hudson: We’re all working on a new project; it’s almost done. We’re going to London to finish it up and do the last part of it and working on my album at the same time with ‘Ye and everybody.”

For The Source‘s upcoming issue, Rick Ross returns as Man Of The Year. Below is an excerpt of the Bawse speaking on his near fatal health condition written by Kim Osorio.

“I went and seen an actual neurologist to tell me what was really going on. My condition was basically extreme exhaustion,” says the boss, “…it was a real eye-opener for me.”
