We had a whole lot of superstars on this stage here tonight. But this is… Papoose's house? We're all still reeling that the 20th anniversary of Hip-Hop's Super Bowl featured the Nacirema Dream as a headliner. Damn you Kendrick Lamar and your generous ways. Yeah it's hip-hop to bum rush the show but c'mon Pap you know you didn't deserve that look. And you gave even less fucks by performing a new song. C'mon fam. You've paid a lot of dues through the years but this was the big dawg time in the program. Don't disrespect the game in your pursuit for fame. Oh well, Brooklyn took it.
You Played Yourself
Speaking of BK, Fab had a master plan of bringing Lil Kim and Foxy Brown back together again. But when it was time to make history, Fox Boogie was nowhere to be found. Where was you at? Wack.

With a guitar in hand, DJ Quik returns with new music and puts the pedal to the medal in its accompanying video. Our bad on having this slip past the Radar.
L.A.’s House of Blues was packed with fans and guests—including Jesus for Jesus Piece’s release concert. Of course, it was only right to end the “Celebration” with Bone Thugs. HHH has a gang of footage below.

This was premiered a couple of months ago at LA’s KDAY, but somehow it slipped under the Radar. HipHop-N-More jogs our memory with the radio rip. Nice Cali tune. Quik’s forthcoming coming soon.

Trae Tha Truth, Chipmunk, Iggy Azaela, B.o.B., & T.I.
As always, the highlight of last night’s Hip-Hop Awards were the cyphers. Personally, there weren’t any “oh shit!” moments this year, but I took the liberty of bolding the best spitter of each group. Here are the rips courtesy of yardie. Let the great debates begin.

Quik released a new recording via his Twitter account featuring Kurupt. No word on where it belongs, but it maybe a sign of a follow up to their 2009 project Blaqkout. Stay tuned.

DJ Quik and DJ Reks have been handling the production of “Stay Strapped Pt. 2″. No vocals from Gibbs or Snow yet, but the beat is sounding great so far. Freddie’s Baby Face Killa drops next Tuesday.

While out West, Mystikal hooked up with DJ Quik for Blind Productions’ D.I.A.L. (Day In A Life) series. Based off their banter, this was filmed during the NBA season. Hopefully, we see the results sooner than later.

It’s tha world! Last night, Gangsta Gibbs kept it 187 proof inside the cooker along with Warren G, Jeezy and DJ Quik. Whenever the outcome surfaces, we’re sure it will sound as good as this looks.

DJ Quik is in the muthafuckin’ house. Unfortunately, only a few took notice with his latest CD, The Book Of David. Quik stayed true to the Left Coast and repped for the hometown on “So Compton”. He kept the party popping with (“Nobody” and “Boogie Till You Conk”) and then aired out personal grievances (“Ghetto Rendezvous”, “Killer Dope”). Needless to say, The Book Of David should’ve been a bestseller.
