Tears Of Joy.
and the black power type of Hip Hop is not about battling other races or sending shots at white people.... Its about being black excellence and also thinking before you rap and standing on some kinda moral compass artistically. Thats too hard for these new fuk rappers to do.
Kendrick is in it for the music, he don't care about anything else.
The reason niggas don't wanna have much pro black power kinda messages in their music is because their afraid. You talk about legends cooning? Have you seen alot of the new rappers out today? What legends is cooning today? really? cause compared to alot of these newer rappers, the legends is the ones who upheld the black power shit. Niggas now are too afraid to be on that or they just not mentally strong enough to articulate any message in they shit but for the most part niggas is hard on the outside and fucking soft and sweet label puppets on the inside. These new niggas are gonna go ahead and let Iggy Azalea take it from here because they simply are too afraid to be a black power kinda artists in Hip Hop today.
In more ways then a few Nas is indeed a prophet and a messenger because hundreds of lines throughout his music can back that claim up. The reason nobody wants to carry that kinda torch artistically overall is because its hard and niggas are fearful of having to carry such weight as an MC. The fans and people in general make excuses for why Hip Hop is not the place to drop too many jewels (saying its preachy) because ignorance is bliss. Its a comfort zone to remain dumbed down and in a state of all fun and games without much reality check. Hip Hop is supposed to be fun and entertaining but for the most parts the fans live in this realm where fuckery is what's considered fun and entertaining and the fake illusion that everybody is a thug and a drug dealer, pimp player, baller etc... is a costume that everybody has grown comfortable with so the presence of the truth is like a splash of cold water in the face of those that are just high on fake shit and fuckery. Everybody wants to turn up and accept this bullshit thats being called Hip Hop nowadays when its actually the far from being Hip Hop and when people get older they gonna play alot of these records and hear how ridiculous they sounded and ask themselves how could I ever listen to alot of this garbage cause most of it is clearly bullshit. Wu Tang Forever btw made alot of sense once you break down what the fuck they were saying...
Stalley lost can't even get a performance in his own state.
