’12 Worst Singles: #3 LL Cool J “Ratchet”
Friday, January 11 2013 4:30 PM EST | Posted by: Big Homie | Posted in: Album Reviews, BlogIt breaks our hearts to hear this coming from the G.O.A.T. Ironically off his forthcoming Authentic Hip Hop, Uncle L decided to pass on the sophisticated ladies for the trashy and obnoxious chicks “She’s so ratchet, she’s so ratchet/But she’s so bad we could throw cash at it/First I’m gonna smash it, then I’m gonna leave it”. And you can take this track here with you. Sorry, Todd. The around-the-way girls are the ones for us.

LL Cool J Authentic Hip Hop Cover & Tracklist
Monday, November 19 2012 7:15 PM EST | Posted by: Big Homie | Posted in: Blog, True StoryLL hangs his flag for the rap pioneers on the front display of his 14th album, Authentic Hip Hop. Set for a February release, Mr. Smith tells Essence:
“I’m not trying to compete with 17-year-olds on the radio, but I am talking directly to the folks who came up with me. We may not be teenagers anymore, but we do still like to have fun.”
Hopefully, the fun is more “Take It” and less “Ratchet“.

LL Cool J Working On New Album
Friday, June 22 2012 11:25 AM EST | Posted by: Amaya | Posted in: Blog, True StoryIt’s been four years since LL Cool J’s last album. And during his press conference for his new digital partnership on Wednesday, he told XXL that he’s working on his thirteenth studio album.
“I’m going to be doing a little bit of the album on the [My Connect Studio], make sure that it is official,” he said. “And as a matter of fact I started on my album too. It’s authentic Hip Hop, it’s the business…it’s 2012, so it doesn’t sound like it would sound if it were 10 years ago or 20 years ago, but it’s definitely official. It’s a breath of fresh air. It doesn’t sound like anything that’s out right now. I think it’s crazy. It’s the business. It’s real.”

Getting arrested three times in one day? That's the shit we don't like. Getting a feature placement on Kanye West's new album is a great look—Being behind bars isn't. Haven't we seen this movie before? This Chiraq MC and trouble are synomnous. Drive slow, young homie.
The whole 2 Chainz robbery fiasco. The culprits. Tit for initially denying it and you fuck boys on the Internet who made him feel like he should. Ain't no shame in defending yourself by fists or by feet. It ain't safe in these streets.
