We had a whole lot of superstars on this stage here tonight. But this is… Papoose's house? We're all still reeling that the 20th anniversary of Hip-Hop's Super Bowl featured the Nacirema Dream as a headliner. Damn you Kendrick Lamar and your generous ways. Yeah it's hip-hop to bum rush the show but c'mon Pap you know you didn't deserve that look. And you gave even less fucks by performing a new song. C'mon fam. You've paid a lot of dues through the years but this was the big dawg time in the program. Don't disrespect the game in your pursuit for fame. Oh well, Brooklyn took it.
You Played Yourself
Speaking of BK, Fab had a master plan of bringing Lil Kim and Foxy Brown back together again. But when it was time to make history, Fox Boogie was nowhere to be found. Where was you at? Wack.

Lupe was at it today. The rapper fired up his off-and-on Twitter account to address the violent lyrics in today’s music.
Violent music (and all violent media) effectively says its “ok” to be violent. It provides positive reinforcement for negative actions. If you rap and make violent music then own up to it. Stop hiding behind “art imitating life” as a way to evade the guilt. “How the hell you gonna tell this man not 2 be violent?, Cuz he dont need to go the same route that I did” -Eminem & Dr. Dre “Choices”. Sorry…”Bad Meets Evil”…”Guilty Conscious”…sorry…lol correct title of the song aside, U know what I meant! The issue stands that violent music puts violence into this world one way or another.

We live in such a cruel world. Lupe sends his condolences to the family and friends of 6-month old Jonylah Watkins, who died this week in a shooting in Chicago. Says Lupe:
She lives as long as we do. She will live forever. God bless your soul and the family you left behind. We Love You.
Not a song but a life. Be respectful. Please keep negative comments to yourself. #lovelifechitownforever

Lupe was recently named creative director and investor for a new health and wellness app, Higi. Down in SXSW, he spoke on the launch with Billboard yesterday.
“When I first checked in I was 160 [pounds] and my score was something like 760. I checked in today, and I was 155, but even though I lost 5 pounds I wasn’t active in my social activity enough and my blood pressure was a little high… It shows you how weight and wellness aren’t the same thing. You can be super fit and super depressed because you’re not interacting with your social network. You could work out and work out, but that doesn’t really translate to how happy you are in life. You could be at home super happy, super comfortable, just logging in to your computer all day, but your body is paying for it.”

Lupe catered to a D.M.V. crowd at The Fillmore in Silver Spring last night. In typical fashion form, he got a few things off his chest from radio to politics. Hopefully, WPGC didn’t take offense.
