It’s been nearly a year since Machine Gun Kelly was on The Breakfast Club. But with his album out, he was back on the air to discuss his depression, parental abandonment and Bad Boy’s legacy. At the end of the interview, he tries to convert Charlamagne into a fan with a freestyle. Charlamagne’s response: priceless.
MGK visited BET this afternoon to plug his new release, Lace Up. He also talked his BET Hip-Hop Awards performance, touring and working with the features on his album.
Aside from the cyphers, BET kept the Hip-Hop Awards stage occupied throughout the night. One of the highlights was the emotional tribute to Chris Lighty from Missy, Q-Tip, Fat Joe and 50 Cent.

Here’s some wild news. Recently, MGK’s single “Wild Boy” reached over 500,000 in sales. During last weekend’s Hip-Hop Awards, Puff honored his artist with his first gold plaque.
MGK hosted a listening session yesterday at NYC’s Slate for his upcoming album, Lace Up. Those present got a live performance of a few tracks and plenty of Ciroc. Page 31 sums up the night above.
