Oh, Lil Mama. In an interview with VIBE, Bow Wow’s doppelganger says Nicki Minaj bit her style after her appearance on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew. She then goes on to talk about her “influence” on today’s rising talent.

Very valid point… I think the biggest style criticism was thrown at you this past MTV Movie Awards. Bunch of people thought you jacked Nicki’s haircut.


But my cut is blunt and futuristic and Nicki Minaj started wearing that bob on her head after she came to my show, so at the end of the day I know what I do and I know what I possess and I know who I am. I’m a trendsetter. The biggest form of flattery is imitation so I’m flattered. I understand the universal law. I’m not confused, I don’t feel like a follower. I started so many things that new artists are doing now anyway –my style, the way I’m aggressive on a track, the way I come through, the way my beat bangs. There are so many things that were borrowed, that I influenced that’s happening in music right, so I’m far from discouraged.

Just about an hour ago, Soulja Boy felt it was a good time to give us a brand new song featuring Nicki Minaj and Bobby V. No word to where this is going to land but this is kinda hard to love.

Judging by Onika’s style, this rare cut sounds like it was created before her Young Money days. Other than the hook, this isn’t bad at all actually. Maybe Nicki will clarify its origin soon.

Just before the start of the weekend, Nicki releases a viral for “Did It On Em” which includes a montage from the I Am Music 2 Tour. If you haven’t, go cop that Pink Friday in stores now.

You might remember this track leaking a while back but here it is finally in its mastered form courtesy of Nicki herself. I think we’re ok that this didn’t find its way on Pink Friday.

Following Nicki Minaj’s performance of “Super Bass” at the Billboard Awards, she brought out Britney Spears and recited the remix to “Til The World Ends”. Remember the duo head on tour this summer.

There was a Barbie takeover on America’s Best Dance Crew last night. Nicki Minaj brought the challenge to the remaining four teams to choreograph routines inspired by her music.

In support of the Get MotivatED Challenge to help student attendance, Nicki Minaj played principal for the day by surprising students at Collins Academy High School in Chicago. After teaching a freshman English class, she was joined by MTV’s Sway and presented three students with $10k college scholarships. School is cool.
