G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer has only been out for a few weeks. But on the red carpet of last night’s BET Hip-Hop Awards, Q-Tip insinuates to MTV that a possible follow-up may arrive next.
“I know, I know, I’m sorry about that but I have to let the cat out of the bag. Kanye’s probably gonna get…If there’s a Cruel Summer then there’s got to be a Cruel Winter right? That’s all I’m saying.”
Hours before the release of Nas’ album, Life Is Good, Team Epiphany spearheaded the Moët Rose Lounge event last night in NYC’s meatpacking district. Yours truly bailed at the last minute, but Hov, Beyonce, Busta Rhymes, Jermaine Dupri, Swizz Beatz, No I.D. and a host of others were in attendance. Q-Tip and DJ Wonder handled DJ duties. G.O.O.D. Music has just extended its family with the addition of Q-Tip. His next album The Last Zuluwill be his first release and is expected to arrive early next year. Tip says:
“I’m excited to be a part of the great iconic Def Jam label,” said Q-Tip. “I’m humbled to be a part of such a storied history. To reconnect with Barry Weiss is a great thing. As far as G.O.O.D.
