It was freestyles galore a few weekends ago at the Sigma Sound Studios for the third annual, “Lets Move It Philly!”. The benefit concert helps aid the GrassROOTS foundation. Black Thought and his Money Making Jam Boys, Dice Raw, Truck North and STS tackled a few instrumentals and HHs1987 highlights their takes.
Danny Cam’s fish eye lens finds STS in Hamburg, Germany for his new video. The song will appear on his forthcoming project G.O.L.D. Rush 3. Says Mr. Slim of his new effort:
“It’s a code amongst niggaz that grew up on BIG, Got drunk off PAC, wish that BIG L got, a chance to really get his shine on before he got shot, this is dungeon family bumpin’ up and down my block, I’m talking BIG RUBE interludes Cool (Breeze), and the Witch Doc.”

STS takes Nike on a tour of Philly for their “The Ones” series. Below is a more accurate description of the campaign.
“The Ones,” an original web series presented by Nike Air Force One, profiles creative individuals who are revolutionizing their respective fields and explores what makes them special. The latest video focuses on Sugar Tongue Slim, a poet and rapper from Atlanta who has become part of Philadelphia’s gritty Hip-Hop scene. Equip with slick, multisyllabic rhymes and a unique drawl, STS is also part of the Money Making Jam Boys, a collective that released a critically-lauded mixtape last February. Check out this rising talent as he hits the streets of Philadelphia and recounts his rare moments of glory on the football field.
